Hi all - things seem to be going well for most of you. Glad the rash wasn't anything sinister KZ, and things must be looking up usandbump if you're considering the possibility of another bump .

DS is pretty settled, tends to just wake up once in the night, good feed and then back to sleep until 6.30-7ish. Daytime naps are more of a challenge. Have tried putting him down calm and awake, but he seems so active now he doesn't want to miss out on anything. He also is happy to wriggle on his rug by himself, as long as he can see me and check back with a little gummy smile every so often. He's been on the boob quite a lot this morning, and hasn't really chucked up, so must have been hungry.

Off to try and think up a christmassy name, but trying to incorporate maewest - any suggestions? (was so pleased with my halloween one, although it took longer to log in )

Morning ladies

Another 1am and 5am wake up call so have had another try with the Heinz Brekkie cereal mix. Still feel poorly myself-have never had such a strange illness in all my life so a real struggle to get out of bed in the night.

kayzed-glad Roshi is OK.

kosh-meant to congratulate you on that 1/2 stone. I did Slimming World and lost diddly squat-not a single ounce! Tis Weight Watchers all the way for me-well next year perhaps .

Going into town and to Tescos if I can manage it. Dosed up on paracetamol again so will see.

Have a lovely day ladies and hugs to all. Catch y'as later. Oh, have dug the Chrissy bibs out this morning-it's on its way!

maewest-tried to include HumphreysCorner but it was too long and every time I saved it, it became shortened so gave up. Good Luck!

half a stone sounds good, but i want to be the average weight for my height, which is apparently, around 11stone. So only 4and a half to go! god. i've never been light, always been fat, so this is very hard, especially at the moment when im feeling so low i want to jump off a building. But determined to look ok, so i am actually looking t hair stuff and styles so i cant put my hair in a ponytail so i have to make an effort.

FrostytheSnowman · 08/11/2006 17:30

Festive-that is a perfect name for maewest

kosh-you are doing alright my girl. I've just lost 1/2 stone by cutting down a tad but still only down to 11 stone. According to the 'figures' I should be 7 stone 4 lb so another 4 stone to go-not! 8 stone 4 lb was the lowest I've been and I couldn't maintain it. Would be happy at 9 1/2 stone nowadays. Don't you be going too mad now.

Must unpack the shopping.

Festive: what a fab name for mae: you should so use that!
Kosh: hun dont get too hung up on those stats its all rubbish I dont even use scales anymore have thrown them out as they were "rusty" (yeah right!) I go on how I feel: IMHO being thin sooo doesn't make you happy unfortunetly people often dont realise it until they've worked really hard to lose it and I'm sure thats why alot of people pile it back on! You've just had a baby hun give it time and only lose wight if you are doing it because you want to not for any other reason! But good luck with it and I do hope you feel better soon, thinking of you !

Evie had ANOTHER jab today menC apparently and still has to have her pneumo one in Dec that will be 5 lots of jabs hate going but the nurse I saw today was really nice and Evie didb't even cry as she chatted to her all the way through!
Saw HV too Evie now 12lb 8.5oz thought she'd be bigger! Discussed rtn to work HV was going on about going PT do ppl really not understand I would if I could! Sorry rant over! Also about her "boob" sleeping and stuff (anyone elses LO do that?) and I've been told I've got to be hard and let her cry it out, all night if neccessary I'm such a soft touch tried it tonight and lasted 1/2 hour! Decided as she had jab today it wasn't fair!
WOW long post! Hope you'll all OK!

Evening all

Well i have no idea hot to change my name even if i could think of a festive one.

My name is rubbish and impossible to do anything with!!

Well it's official,my wedding is booked for the 10th of April(my birthday) at Gretna Green so i'm all excited lol.Never thought i would be like this but hey it's the only wedding i'm ever gonna have so i am gonna enjoy it.

KZ your Roshi is soooo cute,i love seeing pics of her and ds.The babies on our thread are gorgeous, every one of them.I need to try and get a pic of mine up,ds1 is always gadding about with the gf so hard to get one of them all.

Eilidh fine after her 1st set of jabs but very flushed and dribbly so teething probs.

I am on a healthy eating kick atm, want to be a bit slimmer for my BIG DAY lol.It has been soooooo hard not to eat crap and i feel hungry a lot of the time. But i have had no biscuits, sweets, cake crisps or rubbish in general.Ds2 and i are going to go swimming together on dp's day off and will go for a brisk walk at night after dinner.Hoping once i get into the habit of cutting out the junk i can feel better about myself,i hate being a chubber.

Anyway duty calls Eilidh needs a bedtime feed.
Re the cc,have never done it,kids always go into cot then in with me in the night. Can't bear to hear them upset so never do the cc.

figgypud · 08/11/2006 20:16

Hey agalch: Congratulations How exciting!
Good way to lose weight hun! Changing name is easy: Just go to your registration and put in new name!
May take a few go's tho is someone else already has that name!

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 08/11/2006 20:34

Hi gals,

Agalch- April is a fab time to get married, nct year we will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary on April 14th.

Well, have changed my name but not too sure on it. Let me know what you think and see if there's a better one. I did wanted to incorporate my pinkdolly so I didnt lose my identity.

Figgypud- Jasmine is also a boob sleeper. The last few nights infact, she has been quite unsettled, will wake up and just want my boob (not milk, just the boob). I did try a dummy in the early weeks but she will not have it. It's about time someone invented a 'boob' for babies to suck on instead of a dummy. Lol maybe I should do that. You can get knitted ones for midwifes to use in demos. What would a 'sucky'one be made of? It would have to be very realistic.

Kosh- Keep your chin up about your weight loss. 1/2 a stone is really good! Dont put yourself down.

Frosty- at you saying that you should be 7 stone 4lbs. How tall are you sweetie? I'm 5-4 and my ideal weight range is between 8st5 and 10st5. Currently I am 9st13 and am aiming for 8st7. That's where I feel happy.

Although coming up to xmas is not a good time for being on a diet.

Anyway's that's me off for tonite. nite girls

FrostytheSnowman · 08/11/2006 20:57

Am just 5 ft tall. WW states a healthy range is between 7st 4lb and 9st 2lb-ha ha ha!

jomglebells · 08/11/2006 21:05

Hi everyone, thought i'd get into the whole festive name changing thing too. Not a great name but at least you'll know who i am. Loved your other thread figgypud and am starting to look forward to it all now!

My DS is driving me mad at the momemt, very demanding and jealous of Amelia; much worse in fact then when she was born. Maybe the novelty has worn off and he's beginning to realise that shes here to stay! (Roll on January when he'll be starting nursery five afternoons a week) Lucky shes so easygoing or it'd be a nightmare.

Must be off to bed as had a horror night last night with DS up a lot (Amelia woke once at 4 and was straight back down after a 20 min feed) and need to get some sleep in case we have a repeat performance.

Also meant to say that my hair is not falling out and am exclusively BF - was looking forward to it actually as my hair is sooo thick! Sods law.

Wallace · 08/11/2006 21:11

I will change my name to a Cristamssy one, but NOT YET!!!! wink]

LOl at the dummy boob - reminds me of when ds1 was a toddler he used to have to have me lying beside me o get to sleep, and he would hold my ear. Everytime I tried to move, he would stir. I thought it would be great if I had a fake ear to place in his hand so he would think I was still there. I think the poor boy would have freaked if he had woken up with an ear in his hand

maewest · 08/11/2006 21:24

great name suggestion festive... hang on a minute

MaeWestYeMerryGentlemen · 08/11/2006 21:27

ta da!

chester30 · 08/11/2006 22:02

hello all,

v quick message - haven't time to read the whole thread.

How is the b/f going festering at 40?

I haven't changed my name yet - will do so soon when i can think of something witty ... perhaps never the way i feel just now.

I'm afraid I can't find who mentioned it when I scrolled through just now but who is it that works in a studio and has taken their lo into work with them? Are you a creative arty type cos that is what I do sort of......

I've been buying clothes too for my dd - I always said before she was born that I wouldn't dress her in pink and now I can't resist... I love anything with a collar too.....a choirboy look iykwim.

I hope you are all well and your lo are happy and healthy. xxx

morning- Kayzed I went through the same thing with Jasmine and in fact still do at times. She doesn't shout but gets such a sad on, her little face crumples as she cries. (and the bottom lip comes out already).

I found that making meals in advance and freezing them helps. There's not so much to get ready then. Also I try and prepare my meals during the day when she is having a 'happy' time. That way it only need throwing together in the evening and reduces your workload. Hope that helps.

We are all feeling ill today, got this cold/bug. I ache all over. So not gonna do much today. DD2 is supposed to have gymnastics at 2 and dd1 BB's at 6.30. But will have to see how they (and me) are at that time i think.

Hope everyone is well.

SleepIsForTheWeak · 09/11/2006 08:25

Chester, it was me that spoke about my studio. I am an interior designer. What is it you do?

Sefton is being such a cutie at the moment, gets so excited by everything! He is trying to hold himself up now too. I have bought a Bumbo seat off someone on MN, can't wait for it to arrive.

I am still bf - supplementing with formula tho - and my hair is falling out loads

I also don't have scales - I think they are the work of the devil!!!

SleepIsForTheWeak · 09/11/2006 08:27

also cant think of a Christmas name
NoSleepForSanta?
NoSleepForTheExcited?
not very inspired

FrostytheSnowman · 09/11/2006 11:39

Morning all

Have been to the Drs myself this morning as still feel grot and my arms and legs are covered in a rash. Dr thinks I have a virus and has given me Ibuprofen for my joint pains. Had a bad pulled muscle pain earlier in the week so had to have a 2nd opinion re DVT. Is not thank goodness. Dr also said it is possible to get arthritis symptoms up to 9 months after having a baby. He also said I am run down and have been doing too much. With 2 children and a DH what are you supposed to do-sit down and refuse to move?

Sleep-can only think of SleepinHeavenlyPeace (from Silent Night)-not brill though.

Even though I destest pink (banned people wearing pink at my wedding but MIL turned up dressed head to toe in pink ) I dress Sophie in it. Yet, yesterday 2 people still asked girl or boy?

DH peed me off last night as I ordered Sophie a toy for Christmas off the internet and it came yesterday. DH said 'oh, not another one of those toys'. Yes, it is as she can't just play with DD1's old toys-she does need some new ones and we haven't got one of these already. I wouldn't mind but he doesn't help out with Christmas-I have to pick, buy and wrap everything and write the cards and do the food etc. And picking things for his annoying relatives that have everything already doesn't help.

Mutter, mutter, grumble, grumble. I'll blame it on me being not well.

pinktinsel-hope your family gets better soon too.

Love to all and bye for now.

Hi Girls

HC-Frosty and PinkTinsel ? hope you feel better soon

Chester ? I think the b/f?s going a bit better thanks, I?m trying to feed more frequently and also express every day and the supply seems to be going up slowly. She still fusses a lot when waiting for let down and then feeds very quickly, but the back arching seems to have stopped for now. Just need to be very patient when she?s latching on sometimes. How?s it going with you?

Got her weighed this morning and she?s back to 11lbs 14oz (which is what she was 3 weeks ago) but at least the graph?s going upwards, she was 11lbs 12oz last week. HV didn?t seem concerned, said she looked healthy enough and would probably follow the 9th rather than 25th centile curve.

Re pink clothes, we got deluged with pink gifts when she was born, many are still too big though. I have diluted the pinkness by buying mainly white vests and sleepsuits. Sometimes I buy her blue sleepsuits though, much to DP?s concern !! She doesn?t wear skirts, trousers or tights yet, mainly because I can?t be bothered to coordinate proper outfits and sleepsuits are so easy and comfy. She wears cardies over the top (she has a fetching range of knitted ones she was given as presents, I thought she?d never wear them but they are surprisingly useful.) I also put soft bootees on over the sleepsuits - they?re really good for keeping the legs in place. I bought her a funky black sleepsuit at a 2nd hand shop (hopefully not second hand from a devil-worshipper or something ) ? it?s a bit big for her though so haven?t tried it on yet!

Lol Kayzed at the new bed routine ? no messing! Emma used to be particularly difficult when I was trying to cook tea, I attempted a few cooking sessions with her in a sling but I?m sure the HV would not have approved . Now DP usually has her ? don?t know if this is an option for you time-wise but I used to get him to give her a bottle of EBM while I was cooking to keep her quiet and that seemed to work.

I like SleepInHeavenlyPeace Frosty!

Right ? I?m going to attempt to link to some pics, so apologies in advance for any linking incompetence?

Hi guys.

Just a quick one.

My Hv came to see me today and weighed Jasmine.
2 weeks ago she was 10.9, now she is 10.15. And so has dipped a bit. She doesn't seem overly concerned but wants to check her weight again in 3 weeks. Told DH and he said, we should start her on food as he doesn't think the milk is enough for her.

What are your thoughts on this? I dont want to wean her too soon, but she is soo tiny?
