aww thanks!
Got to shop to buy healthy stuff...its so unfair i bought some sausages in the farmers market yesterday i forgot it was thursday.

Going back to work on 13th Nov, 12-9pm sat and sunday, as my mum can only babysit at weekends, and i only earn 6pounds an hour, and childcare starts at 3 to 3.50. booo dont wanna go back...

Afternoon lovely ladies

Will catch up later properly but have been out all day so didn't have to be 'Home Alone' with DD1 so had a good day . Sophie did cry for most of the swimming lesson but I persevered-my friend gave up and went in the cafe. Picked DD1 up from SIL's (SIL had no hair left-lol due to tearing it all out ) then met DH for lunch. Called in at mum and dad's on the way home and put Sophie on her tummy on the floor and she rolled back over-twice! Was so chuffed. She couldn't manage a third time as she had worn herself out. Just going to write it in my Baby Book

Off to get some Ryvitas for tea-yummy.

Bye for now and love to all

Evening everybody!
Got a nasty cold for two days . Didn't have the energy or the capacity to post in english but all your posts have kept me company!
I love all the pics. We do have the most gorgeous bunch of babies, don't we?
Still a bit feverish so will finish this post now before I start writing you in spanish.
Lol to all of you!

HumphreysCoroner · 13/10/2006 21:43

Pronta Recuperacion nuria

((xx))

Wallace · 13/10/2006 21:55

lovely pic koshka.
nuria - I echo HC's get well soon

Anyone's baby have teeth yet? Leo's teeth have been visible in his bottom gum for ages, and he's very dribbly too. I know this doesn't neccessarily mean he is about to get teeth, but he also has a funny hard lump behind his bottom gum (sort of inside) and I wondered if anyone knows what this is? The HV said she has no idea - not worried, just curious

mysticpeaks · 13/10/2006 22:15

hi girls, been to quacks re lump, all appears ok at the mo. got some antibiotics. Got to go back in 2 wks if its not gone. phew. back on pill so can have stress free sex - HOORAH!!! In a good mood now. Or will be on sun when dh is back. dd1 has 3 teeth coming through at same time - all molars so she is really unhappy bless her. going to bed now as i'll prob be up all night.
wallace - ref lumpy gums dd1 had them - no clue really but shes ok!! Maybe teeth maybe jaw bone??

mysticpeaks · 13/10/2006 22:16

sorry nuria - feel better soon.

Wallace · 14/10/2006 15:24

Thanks mistypeaks. Hope you got an okay nights sleep - those molars are awful. Glad all was okay at the docs.

mysticpeaks · 14/10/2006 16:07

Not too bad a night considering . . . My mom's here for the weekend so she's sent me off to bed for an hour. Seeing as I'm suffering period pains too, she says they're awful just after baby so I should get some rest!! Not arguing!! Don't remember it being this bad after dd1, maybe its because I bf for 6 (hellish) weeks with her and was pg again within 3 months??

kbaby · 15/10/2006 12:38

hc im having the same probs with dd. ive stopped potty training as we were getting 5-7 accidents a day and any attempts at asking her if she needed a wee were met with a no. i dont actually enjoy being with her at the mo as she constantly whinges and moans, wont do anything and is tantruming over everything.

grgg all those getting sleep, ds is still waking twice a night and from 5am is unsettled so he comes into bed then. i can now get him to sleep on his own in the evening by putting a muslin infront of his face and the dummy in, i cant leave him like it though so its taking me longer to settle him but hopefully in the long run hell get used to being put to sleep alone and not cuddled. he still cant lift his head off the floor if on his tummy which im worried about as hes 10 weeks old now.

kayzed-we bought this night light for DD1 Piggery Pottery but we leave it on all night for her. Only problem was that the 15w bayonet bulb was too bright and you can only buy lower wattage in screw in form so had to buy a cheap light and adapt the fitting. It does give a nice glow now though. We did try a Mothercare light sensor and switched it off when we went to bed but she woke up screaming.

Hope you get something sorted.

Still feeling stressed and had a bad night. Sophie was up 3 times . But she did roll over again so it made up for it .

Will catch up later. Mum and dad hopefully coming tomorrow to cut my hedge-better not rain!

DH has got my laptop working so now using it-had to buy a plug in the end as the tosser still hasn't posted it.

Tea time now so bye for now.

Wallace · 15/10/2006 19:25

Well done Sophie on the rolling over Leo rolled over once whenb he was 5 weeks, but hasn't since so it must hhave been a fluke - or maybe he has just got too heavy now! Or he could have been showing off seeing as it was infront of the HV

usandbump · 15/10/2006 20:37

Evening all

I saw that thread Jane its like being back in the playground sometimes

Well nights are just getting worse here! Every 2 hours last night I can feel myself slipping back into the exhausted depressed zombie of a few weeks ago. Please be better tonight Zack- fingers crossed.
Dp and I are falling out over bottlefeeding, you may remember Zack has been refusing bottles? Anyway, tonight dp was trying for 25 mins to get Zack to take the bottle, I went up and said I thought that was long enough and I will feed him. I can see Dp is angry with me now I'm all for trying the bottle regularly but cannot leave Zack to cry for that long, he gets very distressed.

Also pissed off with family, everyone thinks they have the right to criticise our parenting They don't agree with us picking him up when he cries, we are 'ruining' him apparently. Well 'ruin' him I will then

Wishing everyone good nights x

HI GIRLS

Heard today that Farepak hamper company had folded.I knew i would be on mat leave so bought 700 quids worth of vouchers to pay for dinner and some of the pressies.God only knows where i'll get the money to buy it all now

I know money/presents are not as important as people but i like to treat my kids at Christmas.

GrimAdventuresOfJane · 15/10/2006 21:57

Evening all

Bitchiness is here
if anyone fancies a laugh or feels brave enough to tell them how mean they are, esp to newbies!!!

Nowt to report here think Evie is teething as she is sooo grumpy and her cheeks keep giong hot and red and shes dribbling but cant see anything? do babes get really snotty nose when they are teething or is this a sign of illness?? She doesnt have any other symptoms of a cold? but did have jabs this week?
Speak soon all
Jane

FesteringAtForty · 15/10/2006 23:05

Oooh - Prime Suspect better than Cracker!

Usandbump - not an expert (of course) but I'd guess that the more distressed he is the less likely he is to relax and take the bottle, probably more a question of getting him at the right moment, I'd say you're right to call it a day on a long trial session. Feel for you, it must be really stressful . Sending lots of positive sleeping vibes . My latest theory is that wine before bedtime can't hurt!

Will catch up with everyone tomorrow - must get off to bed

usandbump · 16/10/2006 09:24

Morning all

HC- sending you {{{hugs}}} Hopefully Sophie wore herself out with all the rolling and slept better for you

Thanks for the advice KZ, I'm going to suggest what you have said to dp. It's stressful enough without us falling out.

Agalch I'm so sorry for you, have you written to them to find out if there is any hope?

Jane- I think babies can get a clear runny nose when teething?

Fester- I might try the wine If nothing else it may help me to relax. It's so difficult because like you say I know Zack won't take the bottle once he has got himself in a bit of a state.
I'm so lucky with my dp he is very caring and I know he is only doing it because he is worried about me, he can see how tired I am. I know he feels like he is doing nothing to help and I'm doing all the hard work and it realy doesn't help when I interfere and tell him he is doing things wrong or if I make suggestions.

agalch · 16/10/2006 09:59

Morning usandbump

AFAIK theres no chance of getting the money back.Have been trying to get thru on the phone but no joy.
Am now working on the assumption that the vouchers are not coming and trying to work out what to do now.

Tho i feel sick this morning i keep trying to remember that there are people on here who are much worse off in lots of different ways.

Dp just says not to panic and that we have each other and 4 perfect children and it's true.

usandbump · 16/10/2006 10:12

Agalch {{{hugs}}}

Your dp is oh so right and he sounds lovely by the way
Could you do some car boot sales? My sister is doing these on a Sunday at the moment, she is selling off my nephews old toys and clothes to raise money for new ones at Christmas. She says it also makes more space for the pressies we all spoil him with
Going to mention the company to my other sister, I know she puts money by for Xmas with one of them.

agalch · 16/10/2006 10:28

Usandbump will be selling my unused birth pool and some other bits but will maybe try a boot sale too. Thanks

My 3 friends also saved with farepak, between us we have lost 2450 quid.

It's hard to tell a 15 yr old he poss can't get his longed for pressie.

Boys off on October break so away to drag ds2 out of bed and get out for a walk or something.
