WOW - randon people posting on OUR thread! (only joking all are welcome to post and share their experiences of having a Oct 2004 baby! No really anyone can post before anyone has a go!!!! ) Incidetly cod - I can vouch for the fact none of these threads (about Oct babies) has ever had the word fanny on the title!

I am fine - we are fine! Am still not pregnant so am eating biscuits! Grace is doing really well! Although she has an opion about everything. It was my Granny's birthday at the weekend and lots of family where there and evyerone was amused at how confident and bossy she was! We have the offer accepted on a house we want to buy and have hopfully (fingers and toes crossed) sold ours - so are looking at kichens. We went to IKEA today - god it was depressing. I think it was the shear number of people who will all have identical houses and lack of daylight!

Jbadgirl - hope the scan was OK and that there is some postive news from it!

Biglips - how is the job hunting and the cat?

Kath - your daughter is going to be 14! WOW

Its if good to catch up with you all again!

Most post more!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/03/2007 20:38

Cazzy - you have a 'Grace', fab name you know

cazzybabs · 04/03/2007 20:52

Thanks VeniVidiVickiQV - she is a pretty fab kind of girl!!!!!!

Do I take it you also have a fab grace?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/03/2007 20:58

I sure do

Plenty of pictures of her in my profile. She's gorgeous. But, I am biased of course....

Biglips · 04/03/2007 20:59

my SD's sis is called Grace - Grace Victoria

eerrmmm im not looking for a job anymore as my DP is taking over his bosses business next month so will be busy busy busy as i will be helping him on the paperwork (as ill be his sexy secretary ). My Cat "Missy" is doing fine as she got spayed last week but DD had been telling everyone that "the cat had a baby" ....im unsure where shes getting this information!!! otherwise she is a top cat as no complaint about her (yet!)

jbadgirl · 04/03/2007 21:25

Hi everyone, Tobys scan went well and he didnt have any probs in waking up from the general anasthetic this time. We had to travel an hour away and we had to be there for 8am!! We left at 6.30 and then my car broke down. Luckily my brother came to the rescue whilst dh stayed with the car to wait for a mate to help him get home. The radiator pipe popped and it was amusing standing on the hard shoulder with toby in the buggy at a safe distance away in the freezing cold!!
Anyway we got there late by 20 mins which was great going. He was allowed home an hour after we came back upto the ward.

He still isnt sleeping too well but we will get there soon i hope!!

Been looking for holidays and trying to get someone to look after tobs for a week so we can get some kind of a break. No takers so far and in a way i hate asking people as he is a big responsibility but we will take him if we have no luck.

maisiemog · 04/03/2007 22:33

Hi Jbad, that's great news that the scan went so well. I was wondering how he would put up with getting shoved inside that machine - I didn't want to worry you, but I thought it was pretty claustrophobic, so I'm glad he had a lovely sleep.
SOunds like a bit of a mare getting there though.
Have you heard anything about the results of the scan yet?
Are there support groups that would be able to help you get a break? Or is that for older children?
I was quite excited about all the posts, I thought it was you guys, then I realised it was a load of random stuff. Poo.
Kath? Are you there? Hiding?!
Biglips - you go girl!! LOL!!!

jbadgirl · 06/03/2007 21:17

Yes they are very loud and I imagine that they are claustrophobic. He had one at 3 months and he had little ear plugs in. Me as dh were allowed in with him last time but not this one.

He does go to a day restbite place every wednesday and we have just applied for overnight restbite too. Now he is at school they will try to fit it in with that as it is anout 5 mins walk away. One of our community nurses who used to work at the restbite place is going to ask them what the chances are of him going there wjilst we go away. We will have to wait and see though.

jbadgirl · 06/03/2007 21:18

Sorry my typing is crap tonight!

maisiemog · 06/03/2007 21:49

Little tiny earplugs! Lump in my throat.
Yes fingers crossed for a nice holly.

Biglips · 07/03/2007 14:24

Does anyone remember BibiBoo? she was on here at the beginning of postnatal thread and got a DD..........well she is 16 weeks pg with twins!! WOW

Jbad - aww sounds like your DS is on the mend now....hope you will find a holiday for all your needs xx

maisiemog · 07/03/2007 22:19

Her name definately rings a bell. So twins?! How is she doing?
It must be hard with a toddler.
I meant to ask Jbad, how id Toby getting on with his chewing and eating?
Alfie has been wearing trousers and going out without nappies for the past six weeks. He seems to have remarkable powers of bladder control, but still doesn't like the big toilet.
We are taking his little potty at the bottom of his pram - if we take the pram, but he is loathe to use that and so far has only used the potty whilst out THREE times - rubbish really. He just waits hours until he gets home.
Hmmm!
He will sit on the lid of the toilet, but when I lift it he is like 'No!'
We are having major trouble getting a toilet seat reducer that will fit our loo-seat.
Any suggestions for getting him to use a loo?

maisiemog · 07/03/2007 22:36

I meant definitely - I can't spell sometimes. Must use preview occasionally.

jbadgirl · 08/03/2007 19:06

Toby is eating well but the drinking is still rubbish, he will manage about 20mls on an average day at each feed. The rest goes down his button now to save his energy. Plus when he drinks it seems to cause more secretions that he cant get rid of easily. The last thing we need is another chest infection!

Still looking around for someone to look after him whilst we go away! Im sure it will work out in the end.

Biglips · 14/03/2007 08:06

is anyone doing the potty training (and toilet training) as mine is on strike - a bloody long one!!....but cannot force her. She knows that she had done the wee adn poo in her nappy as she tells me, as soon i mention potty she say "NNNOOOooooo"...ive bought her a potty book off a Mn so just waiting for it now.

Yesterday we both went shopping to buy my SD's 8th bday pressies as it was her bday yesterday....we went in the toys aisle and my dd's eyes nearly popped out as she kept on saying "i like that one".."i like that one"..i ended up buying her mini water pistols and suddenly she turned round to me and said "Mum, its my birthday tmrw!" ....do you think she trying to pull a fast on there!!

Biglips - the only thing moley does with his potty is wander round the living room with it on his head!
