Well. Fuck a duck was that not the most subliminal way if announcing a pregnancy?! Massive and enormous hugs and love to family stunt xx

And to family izzy. I hope you get the pain sorted. That alone must be so tough but lack of sleep must intensify it all.

We have been having a nice time with ganny gampa despite a nightmare giving p a real scare it seems. She was sleeping on her mattress on the floor of DH's room (rooms are minute are neither are big enough for a double so we sleep apart) and I was woken by real to tortured wailing. It wasn't stopping so I rushed in to a sleepy and confused DH and a frantic p. She ended up in with me but was jabbering on about the door and so on. This morning she pointed to the dining room and said "man. Man take p mummy away. No like man". She has periodically come out with it during the day and seemed very upset when either DH or I weren't with her "daddy gone away. Not there anymore" - but seemed ok at bedtime. Fingers crossed she is fine.

I smiled at a post about favourite sayings earlier. P has picked up "ever ever!" Said in an excited tone. Tonight her supper of chicken, chips and cheese (I kid you not - thank you ganny Smile ) "dinner ever EVER!"

YellowWellies · 13/10/2014 02:11

Pass blimmin heck poor P! They've grown up so much - I'm BF our wee miss right now and the thought of this helpless little bag of milk being able to verbalise such complex dreams in less than two years is nuts! She's still at the startle at noises and twat yourself around the face stage!

Obviously some of our babies aren't so sophisticated. I don't have a wee numpty who shoves sweet corn up his nose and has to spend four hours of today in A&E to have it removed. Oh no! Blush

Isles did you go on holiday with XP? Your body loathing chat reminded me of the stuff you'd say when you were with him and he was undermining your confidence Sad . You are very lovely! But then we very rarely realise that until years after.

Izzy Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks you've had some really tough breaks love xx.

Morning all.

yw :o sorry shouldn't laugh about an a&e trip but where do they get the ideas? I assume he is OK? It is funny now to look at a new born and remember that no way could we ever have imagined our LOs to be how they are now.

Rubbish night with LO. I think nightmares too but she wouldn't stop crying long enough to tell me and then suddenly fell asleep mid wail.

Went round three supermarkets this morning trying to find plastic bloody knives. FFS. When I went into school this morning the teacher said "I forgot to tell you, can you bring in some chopping boards too please". Almost suggested we made the morning into a school trip and they just come round to my house to make bloody fruit salad

Passmethecrisps · 13/10/2014 11:26

It seems that the man who took me away was this chap

Confused failed linky perchance?

Wandathewindfairy · 13/10/2014 11:29

The totem pole thingy? Or the elbow lurking round the corner?

izzybizzybuzzybees · 13/10/2014 11:29

Back from Gp. Blood and leukocytes in urine so a bladder infection supposedly. Not convinced as it seems too sore and wrong place for that. 3 days of antibiotics and to give another sample in if no improvement. I'm hoping I've maybe overdone things a little.... Thanks for the hugs much appreciated.

isle you are gorgeous. End of!

pass that sounds scary. Love the chicken, chips and cheese!

pr good luck with your knife shopping and how you'll be reimbursed for all that!

Wandathewindfairy · 13/10/2014 11:32

I am not sure about that totem pole thingy I have to say. It does look scary.

PetiteRaleuse · 13/10/2014 11:51

Goodness that totem thing is going to give me nightmares :)

Zamboni · 13/10/2014 18:54

Can't see the scary totem pole as am on the app but sounds like I don't need to see it!

Izzy hope the drugs kick in soon for you Thanks

Elizadoesdolittle · 13/10/2014 19:52

Logged on via my laptop purely to see totem pole thingy. I actually like it!

Managed to fit in some painting today. Not much but I feel like it's some small achievement. No time tomorrow but will see if I can squeeze some in on Wednesday. I don't want to lose momentum.

Passmethecrisps · 13/10/2014 19:53

I hope that they are right izzy and the abs sort it right out.

Home now and p in bed ready for a sleep free from dreams of scary eyed totem poles!

Granny asked if she wanted to hold it so that she could tell it was just a toy. P not convinced. Apparently it is a good luck totem

Passmethecrisps · 13/10/2014 19:55

I am impressed with your commitment eliza!

It is from New Zealand and has now been resigned to a drawer. I had to resurrect it so I could take the pic for you all.

Kyz · 13/10/2014 20:23

Wandathewindfairy · 13/10/2014 20:46

Pork in general would be gratefully received this evening Hmm

I made corned beef hash For the first time this evening, wolfed down by all of us. Nice with a fried egg on top me thinks.

izzy ((hugs)) is all.

How did the fruit salad extravaganza go today pr or is it tomorrow. If so good luck or just pop down the super marche and pick up some ready made ones

PetiteRaleuse · 13/10/2014 20:54

It's tomorrow....

Wandathewindfairy · 13/10/2014 20:55

Oh. Still time to pop to the shops then Wink

Passmethecrisps · 13/10/2014 20:58

I would be tempted to pop to the shops and buy boxes of ready chopped fruit salad. Is that a thing on France?

I can't believe they need you to bring bloody chopping boards!

PetiteRaleuse · 13/10/2014 21:34

I think the point of the exercise is the children chopping it all up themselves. I have a thing about sticky fruit and food mess. I am going to really dislike doing this. But I said I would and hopefully that will be all for now. She'll pick on someone else next time won't she.

isles7 · 13/10/2014 21:49

Just be sure to do a really shit job and you won't be asked again.

15yrs on and my mum still thinks I'm a really rubbish tea maker!

PetiteRaleuse · 13/10/2014 21:56

Ooh I have done that for tea and coffee too. In fact I have never learned how to use our coffee machine Wink

But I have no idea how long we will be in this village and this school or the next one up. I have to play the game. People already think am weird enough for not being French and never wearing make up. Among other random things.

isles7 · 13/10/2014 21:57

YW yes XP did end up coming in the end. Our first and last holiday. Having to drive down to Liverpool to pick him up after being sat in the car already for 3 hours in the pissing rain was a nice touch. Despite one massive row though it actually worked quite well and he paid for me to have lots of spa treatments so I could stay out of his way. Him and M commandeered the two upstairs bedroom while I got the master suite downstairs and he got up with her every morning so I shouldn't complain. It actually reaffirmed why we won't ever be a couple again, but hopefully marks the start of a more amicable coexistence as M's parents. I hate the idea of being like my mum and dad who (despite being divorced for over 10 years and both happily remarried) still only communicate via myself or my sisters and wouldn't ever be in the same building let alone room. I don't love him, or even like him anymore really, but I am ready to move on for M's sake and stop hating him.

I've always hated my figure. Looking back, I hated being 8st size 6/8 pre M probably just as much as I hate being 12.5st 14/16 now. Except I didn't have stretch marks last time. Eurgh. I run badly and admittedly only when I remember, do yoga, gym twice a week and play badminton on a Friday. I've cut out all junk/sugary food, only drink water or peppermint tea (buy 5-a-day starbucks habit) and am now going to cut right down on carbs. I'm too impatient and seem to have slowed right down on the weight loss front.
