stunt shit. DH's company got taken over earlier this year so have some idea of what you're going through. The uncertainty is awful. So far it has worked out ok for DH but he's not quite out of the woods yet. I hope it works out ok for you all x

donna happy birthday to your DD.

I did as the quiche advised and saw midwife today. All is well but if I have any more abdominal pain I am to go straight to the labour ward to be checked so will do just that.

Spent a wasted afternoon waiting in for builders who didn't show up. E didn't nap so just winged at me the whole time. Went to my local garden centre for coffee and cake after school to cheer myself up. Did the trick and now about to have a nice warm bubble bath.

GTbaby · 07/10/2014 19:44

Yw hope the non dairy kicks in soon. At lea toys not a steep learning curve this time. You know the drill so will be easier.

Hi there Donna.

Izzy hope app gets sorted.

Pr Confusedgross

Pikz · 07/10/2014 20:25

GT are they in bed yet?

Glad you got checked out Eliza

Passmethecrisps · 07/10/2014 20:59

evening all.

Glad you got checked out and are now chilling, eliza

So sorry to hear about your DH's company stunt. very worrying indeed. when will he hear about the possibility of relocation?

Happy birthday to our lovely birthday babies!

I got the dreaded 7:30 phone call from the cm this morning. Her wee girl was very poorly all night so she had decided that it wasn't fair on anyone to have the others over. Thankfully she has a cm friend who p spends every tuesday with anyway. I was a bit concerned as normally p is there all day with her cm but apparently she walked right in without looking back at DH and immediately made herself at home. She soent the day on the phone to her cm who called periodically during the day and she barely seemed to notice that there was any difference. I suspect she was bored of us anyway as at 7:30 she got up off her wee chair and announced "I go now"

StuntNun · 07/10/2014 21:28

Apparently DH's boss has already offered him a relocation to PR's neck of the woods. He's been dying to get him over there for ages. DH is very resistant to the idea of moving abroad though.

Oooh the place with the fab ice cream shops? It's a great place to live. The ice cream is fab. There are a zillion good reasons to live there. As many good reasons as there are flavours of ice cream. Grin

Seriously, it is a good area and you wouldn't be far from the expat hub if that is what he is worried about.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/10/2014 21:56

Sorry to hear of job worries, stunt. Having been there with dh earlier in the year, it is an uncomfortable place to be xx

Glad all is well, Eliza.

I had to wake F up from her big bed this morning. She was virtually hidden, snuggled right down into her duvet, just like how I sleep Smile. She seems muh happier in the bed than the cot. We had a shock at my parents though, to find that she is too long for the travel cot Confused

Off to bed now, am pooped x

QuicheMama · 08/10/2014 06:33

Runs into thread, hugs everyone, runs out again SmileSmileSmile

Lily311 · 08/10/2014 07:06

Runs after quicheMama, catches her and hugs her back tightly. Just as well before I go out for a run in 20 min. Good warm up exercise :).

Pikz · 08/10/2014 07:52

Sending hugs from afar as to not infect any of you with stomach bug lurgy currently doing the rounds in this house Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 08/10/2014 10:25

Joins in quiche hug, but also from a distance. I only have a cold but being even slightly ill on Wednesdays is far worse than being ill any other day of the week.

Plonked LO on the sofa with a bag of crisps and my iphone to watch Gangnam Style on a loop on youtube. If any of you get random PMs from me then it is her messing. It's pissing it down with rain and I don't feel well enough for splashing in puddles all day.

I tried to get her into the duck song but she wasn't having any of it. It is Gangnam Style all the way. We're on about the 10th time already.

Donnadoon · 08/10/2014 13:55

Joins quiche hug
I hate Wednesdays too
Too far from weekend just gone and the one coming, Also crap telly night usually

Wandathewindfairy · 08/10/2014 15:26

Dives into quiche hug. stunt sorry, that sounds really poo. Try try not to worry to much, there seems to be some time before things start to happen, so make sure you use it wisely and examine all your options. Your know if you ever want to just get away from it all where to come. Thanks

Sorry I have not been about much lately. Life has changed so much since DS1 has started in reception and my days seem to be packed tight from end to end.

I have started allotting Os sleep time to focus on certain stuff rather than just manically running around doing jobs. So Mons Tues Thurs and
Fri I have 30 mins shred, 30 mins quite time either writing or reading stuff, then and hour to do a few chores. Wednesday I do a bit of cooking, so today I have done some batch cooking for the weekend as I am off to
England and a big cottage pie for SIL who is having a busy week.

DH has taken the afternoon off and just taken the boys out for some garage time, so I have had....wait for it.......a cadburys cinder toffee cake bar........nostalgises about being pregnant with O and autumn Cosiness. I could eat a whole packet in one go. I lurve them . But I won't.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/10/2014 19:06

Love it when LO says "oh la la!" When watching You've Been Framed.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/10/2014 19:07

wanda I had been wondering where you were. You sound v organised.

QuicheMama · 08/10/2014 19:31

There are quite a few turbines on the commute Wanda. I think they are quite majestic.

Wandathewindfairy · 08/10/2014 19:45

Glad you are on team qm Grin I think they are beautiful when they swish.

I am trying pr Wink

Prob is I do have so much to say but not enough time to say it in so I say nothing, silly really. I will start making half posts I think!

Kyz · 08/10/2014 19:49

Evening all, rough couple of days here as I haven't been well, but MIL took e this morning for a few hours and I caught up on some sleep, and she's taking him tomorrow morning too for a couple of hours so I can catch up with the housework. She's worth her weight in gold, my MIL!

donna E completely ignores some things sometimes even if I know he knows them, and stopped clapping for a few months as if he didn't know why

ooh er pr that poosplosion sounds rather epic!

izzy i'm so sorry things are still so difficult for you :( I'm glad you've got your appt through though - have you rang yet to change the appt from being with a nurse? hope you manage to get it changed over ok. Woohoo with J having another word too, every word adds up and he's geting there bless him :) I know you said it's difficult for you to post but maybe ranting away on here might help some? Hope things improve soon, for you and your poor DH, he sounds shattered too!

belated happy birthday for the turning 2-ers!!!

hope the parents evening went well jims?

sounds like she's doing well then lily :)

oh no pikz not good! Hope you recover soon

gt that must be frustrating, does he keep letting them sleep late? Would it help to have a word with him and see if he'll wake them by a certain time?

glad you got checked ut Eliza :)

bless her pass glad she was well settled with the other lady :)

sorry about the job worries stunt hope everything is sorted soon

bless her bp I keep wondering about moving e to a bed, are all quiche babies in beds now? E sleeps just fine and so far hasn't tried to get out of his cot, even though he easily could just swing his leg over the bars, he is very tall, he just doesn't bother. It's just I wonder if I'd be better off getting him used to a bed now whilst i'm not quite so pregnant, because later on I will struggle putting him in the cot and also if he learns he can get out i'm not sure I fancy rapid return or whatever else when mahoosive!

grabs and administers great big sloshy snogs

wanda you are so organised! :) I think I need to do the same tbh, e sleeps for 2 hours each day and I try to use my time wisely but atm there is no structure to it

LOL pr that is fab

PetiteRaleuse · 08/10/2014 20:02

I love epic kyz posts. Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 08/10/2014 20:03

I love wind farms too. My mum hates them.

YellowWellies · 08/10/2014 20:08

I love wind farms too - j knows we are nearly home when we see our local "windmills!".

Kyz j is still in his cot but he's very wee. Sadly having a CS means I can't lift him in or out of it means I couldn't do bedtimes / night wakings straight after the op.

DH is back at work tomo! Shock Shock Shock Shock J is with his CM so it'll be a very gentle introduction. I have to say looking after just a newborn is much easier than toddler herding - its keeping them both alive I'm terrified about Confused .

PetiteRaleuse · 08/10/2014 20:09

Ugh. Kids up. Can't finish post.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/10/2014 20:13

LO still in cot too.

yw it is hard with a nb and a toddler. I put DD1 into a v expensive nursery mornings four times a week when LO was born (didn't have a place at the current nursery back then). But even that wasn't enough. You will work out "cheats" or"hacks" as they are apparently known now to give you short cuts.

But the worst is over, you are getting stronger by the day.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/10/2014 20:16

I used to get DD1 involved with games. Pass me a nappy. Pass me a wipe. Oooh the baby is asleep, lets do something fun and quiet (ha!)

But sleeping when the baby sleeps doesn't apply second time round. When they both nap at once is like gold dust.

But right now, years on, I love the bond they have. So it is all worth it.

YellowWellies · 08/10/2014 20:24

PR j has basically stopped napping anyway now so I think I will catch up on sleep on CM days. DH has been, as ever, bloody brilliant, am going to miss his help day to day. J is a total daddy's boy since my hospital visit so it'll be a shock for him too. Sad
