Thanks yw, sounds tough. Great news about the feeding though, clever wee mite.

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/10/2014 08:25

yw fab news about the feeding. Reflux sounds horrid poor thing. I guess on a positive you know it will improve. I hope it doesn't take long for the none dairy to kick in.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/10/2014 18:57

Helloo-ooo-oooo??

Lily311 · 06/10/2014 19:10

I'm here. Catching up on Downton.

Kyz · 06/10/2014 19:32

Evening all :)

sorry I wasn't here to wish you luck bp but I have everything crossed for you and was wishing you luck without being here to say so!

Hope everyone had a good weekend :)

yw Hope going dairy free helps with L's reflux bless her

Donnadoon · 06/10/2014 20:06

Congratulations YW on the arrival of your lovely newborn Flowers
Waves at everyone :)
Dd has about 20 words now, her favourite is " oh no "
Does anyone else's DC seem to use a word for a while then stop...as if they've forgotten that word ?
Dd used to point to her nose every day and say " nose" but not said it for a couple weeks as if she's forgotten/ got bored
I ask her " what's that?" Whilst pointing to nose and she ignores me Confused

PetiteRaleuse · 06/10/2014 21:19

LO decided to explore her potty this evening. She usually uses the loo but this was a rare occasion when she did a poo in the potty. And didn't tell me until she had shoved her hands in it and then tried to wipe the poo off her hands. By rubbing them in her hair, on her clothes, the dog and on the floor.

By the time I got her undressed and in the bath she was covered in poo and very distressed. Poor thing.

I think she will be leaving her poo alone from now on.

Passmethecrisps · 06/10/2014 21:36

Oh cripes!! Quite the poosplosion. It is amazing how they are drawn Tobit yet repelled.

Sorry that the wee one is suffering yw. P and J sort of shadowed each other with their reflux and p was in hospital at 4-5 weeks and was happily medicated (for the most part) 5 days after. There were blips until omeprazole came on the scene but with the cot lifted and careful management I remember maybe a couple of months of holding her upright for 15 minutes after a freed

YellowWellies · 06/10/2014 21:54

Pass thanks chick. I think we have to wait until L is term before she can be prescribed anything other than infant gaviscon. Given she has had a couple of blue baby choking incidents I really don't think I want her having thickener. The paed definitely advised against it. So hopefully only another couple of weeks and we can push for ranitidine and ultimately omeprazole. Tonight the bednest is being tilted much steeper to see if that helps. Thank goodness she's not in pain yet with it Sad

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/10/2014 22:02

lily That's exactly what I did tonight!

Wandathewindfairy · 06/10/2014 22:11

me too lily and eliza never really got i to it before but always watched the christmas doe als and maybe the odd snippet. From that I seem to be able to follow it all. Grin

Passmethecrisps · 06/10/2014 22:34

Poor wee dote.

In other news p was all about the "fire fire! Call the fire engine" when I picked her up tonight. Fire drill time at CM had left her quite wound up. She was a bit fearful and highly strung so I hope she is alright tonight. 'Saur gate caused a couple of poor nights

izzybizzybuzzybees · 07/10/2014 00:43

I'm here , still reading but finding it hard to comment. Our nights are horrific still and I can't help which I'm finding very hard. I think from reading about night terrors that that's what the initial wake up is and then he just struggles to resettle for the rest of the night.

Got appt thru for post op check, randomly with a nurse which I'm not pleased about. Need to get the energy to call and figure it out tho. Also have occ health in a few weeks....fun. Still in a lot of pain and not sure how long it'll last. Knackered as well.

J said car today :) so we have Cuggle, car and mum.mnot a lot considering he'll be two in a couple of weeks.

Attempting bed now. DH just fell asleep beside the cot on the floor. Poor man looks rough....

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/10/2014 08:12

wanda My DH always jokes that nothing happens in it. He watches the bit at the end that tells him what's happening next week and that does him!

Donnadoon · 07/10/2014 14:30

Cake for my DD 2 today !
Cake for chicks H also 2 today
Its gone so fast !
Wine cheers

StuntNun · 07/10/2014 15:36

DH just phoned to say his factory is being closed down. Scary stuff. It won't be for a while as they'll have to shift production to other sites but he's been there for ten years so he thought he had some measure of stability. He works in an industry that pays more highly than most so he's likely to have to take a substantial pay cut to get another job. I suppose being settled down with a mortgage and a young family makes it more complicated as well if we end up having to move.

Jims · 07/10/2014 16:35

stunt oh no! I suppose the only saving grace is the fact it isn't immediate so he has some time to look for something else. Is there any chance he could be moved to another site if the work is being moved?

izzy so sorry for bad nights. Sounds hellish.

yw boo to reflux again. Hope you get the treatment you want for her as soon as she's big enough.

Happy birthday to the newly 2s. Can't quite believe it's been that long already. I swear it goes faster the second time.

pr gross. Just gross!

Heading to first ever parents evening here...

PetiteRaleuse · 07/10/2014 17:05

stunt what a nightmare. Good that it isn't immediate, but all the same sounds very stressful Flowers

StuntNun · 07/10/2014 17:10

Theoretically he could move to another site, assuming there aren't a lot of sites being closed down, but it would probably be Germany, Switzerland or Canada.

Well a move might be a good thing :)

PetiteRaleuse · 07/10/2014 17:55

Oh I missed that there were 2 quiche birthdays today. I saw one on FB. Cake

Lily311 · 07/10/2014 18:08

Oh no stunt, that's awful.

Happy birthday to Mini donna and mini chick!

O slept in nursery for the second time, she managed 1,5 hours. She did 40 min yesterday and was absolutely shuttered all afternoon. We need to find the right balance I guess but I'm loving the extra hour for myself.

Pikz · 07/10/2014 19:23

Oh stunt I am sorry

Izzy just huge huge hugs

Happy birthday mini Donna and H

I have come down with the gastric bug now, what fun

GTbaby · 07/10/2014 19:29

Moan moan moan. Fh has had boys this week. Then leaves for work when I get in. He has let them sleep too long/late and now they are wide awake. I just want a shower and spend time crocheting.
