At least there is light at the end of the tunnel PR - DD used to make bedtime a battle but is now v good, so I delude myself know that it gets better!

Pikz - Thanks for you. Hope the vom has stopped now

Passmethecrisps · 01/10/2014 21:23

Poor family pikz. I hope that you all get some peace soon.

We have had lots of spiders as well kyz. E's reaction sounds great. I am not scared of spiders but I would be jumpy with one in my hands. I like showing her them though.

P managed to spend a whole night in her own bed last night and we all woke up much improved for it. I shall send the sleepy dust train your direction zamboni and pr and anyone else who needs it!

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2014 21:24

Had some vom here too. After demonstrating yet more roly polys, F jumped on my back then puked a mouthful of dinner up into my hair Envy Thanks kiddo.

Finally asleep, in my bed. Have created mahoosive rod for my post-exam back, but really there is no other option. I need to be well rested for it so hey ho.

Kyz you are super brave for picking up the spider! I am terrified. I may have mentioned this before....a lot lol.

Pikz hope the vomathon is stopping - tummy bug? xx

YellowWellies · 01/10/2014 21:26

Send the sleepy dust train this way! Lilla is insisting on feeding two hourly around the clock Shock .

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2014 21:30

Choo chooooooo!

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2014 21:30

Choo chooooooo!

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2014 21:31

So excited I sent two trains Blush

Caveat: not sure either of them will actually work...

Passmethecrisps · 01/10/2014 21:34

Chugga chugga choo choo!!!

P was also showing off her rolly Pollys - thankfully no vom

And I have no idea about rods and backs bp but personally I think getting through the night with everyone sleeping has to be a priority, surely. You are in such a challenging job going through an intense period of study - I would let her sleep on my face if that meant I got sleep too in your boat!

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2014 21:44

I would let her sleep on my face

Thus is basically what happens Envy

Pikz · 01/10/2014 22:16

Vom had reduced for 4 hours and he had been asleep for an hour...and we are back to vom Central again. My poor washing machine Hmm

StuntNun · 02/10/2014 06:47

Aaargh season 7 of Castle isn't coming to the UK until January. Is it good Lily? There was a big cliffhanger at the end of season 6.

When do you take a vomiting child to the doctor?

BigPigLittlePig · 02/10/2014 08:08

Is he still having wet nappies pikz? If not, or you are worried then I would go.

Pikz · 02/10/2014 08:28

Ish. Not as wet and he can't keep anything down. He slept from 10pm (last vomit of bedtime milk) to 6.15am and asked for water and toast. Gave him boiled water and toast which he has now vomited everywhere. Am assuming just a bug, not that worried as it should pass right. Just wondering when I should be worried it's been over 24 hours

PetiteRaleuse · 02/10/2014 09:27

pikz When we had this last year I gave DD1 a wet facecloth to suck on. It was enough water to keep her hydrated and keep her mouth moist and kill the thirstiness but only a little water went down so she didn't just chuck it back up. It soothed her until the worst past. We were lucky in that it was a 12 hour bug so very short. It's hard to give them just little sips as they are so thirsty and don't know why they can't just glug it back, but if you can give him little tiny sips every few minutes, rather than giving him an actual drink it will be easier for him to keep it down.

Pikz · 02/10/2014 12:20

Thank you PR

Lily311 · 02/10/2014 12:22

Oh no pikz, hope the bug will fuck off soon.

stunt interesting start of the new season. I don't want to spoil it for you but it's good.

Zamboni · 02/10/2014 12:29

Oh No Pikz, you poor think, and poor L!

Go with your instincts - if you are worried then go. I took S to the GP when he had that terrible chicken pox when he had eaten nothing and more worryingly drunk nothing for 48 hours. The GP pinched his toes and when they 're-blooded' very quickly, he said that he wasn't dehydrated and to keep an eye on that if worried about hydration.

Are you off work to look after him? Hope he improves soon.

Pikz · 02/10/2014 12:45

Thank you lily and zamboni. Yes off work looking after him. To be fair the first time I've been off since I went back so we've had a good run

He's asleep at the mo after a rich tea biscuit and some cooled boiled water so crossing everything for not another bed full of sick. Have run out of dry sheets so he is sleeping on towels Hmm

Jims · 02/10/2014 18:53

Hope no more vom pikz

I have also been the recipient of vom in hair bp. So gross.

So tomorrow I am returning to my uni college for a dinner. It seemed like a good idea when I booked it. Now am feeling a bit trepidatious, especially as I drank a whole (yes, that's one) glass of wine yesterday which wiped me out. I was never a big drinker but am now an even bigger lightweight!

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/10/2014 18:53

pikz hope he's feeling better x

busy day. took E swimming, then playdate then to a soft play place after school pick up. E is beside herself with tiredness so off up for an early night soon. The way I feel I won't be far behind her!

Kyz · 02/10/2014 19:51

Evening all :)

Glad you all got a good night last night pass E woke at 6am this morning, he's going through one of his getting up early phases I think. I don't think he needs to drop his nap as he's shattered by 1pm but I do wonder if I should cut it back. I'll give it a week and see what happens, last time I thought I needed to do something he went back to normal before I had chance to bother!

I am guessing I have never mentioned our family pet tarantula? His name is Minion and he is a brazilian black. They get very big but he's a dopey old soul. He is big enough now to require two hands to hold him, so house spiders don't phase me :) I don't think I would hold him at the size he is now if it weren't for the fact he's been in our family since he was about the size of a pumkin seed, if that! I rarely hold him though to be fair as he is often hungry or shedding, and one does not hold a hungry tarantula, most certainly not! He doesn't live at my house (DP would completely freak out) he lives at mums. He's much loved by half of us and loathed by the other half, lol!

oh yuck bp!! I can't stand things in my hair... vom... and stuff...yuck!

Oh bless him pikz :( The wet facecloth idea is good - really hope he's feeling better soon!

lol jims maybe you'll end up having a good time once you get ther? :)

bless you eliza hope you get plenty of rest

hope you have an ok night yw! well, everyone actually!

BigPigLittlePig · 02/10/2014 21:08

2 hands, kyz! Shock

Envy
Passmethecrisps · 02/10/2014 21:32

I heart you kyz!! Grin

I woke p up this morning and said as I always do "did you have a nice sleep, p?" To which she answered as always "yas" then added with great glee "see ganny gampa and uncle!!!"

Wee sausage must have been dreaming about them

BigPigLittlePig · 02/10/2014 21:36

I love how we are starting to get little glimpses into their minds now. F asks all the time for our family friends, and tells me the highlights of her nursery day - yesterday we had "debbie, hide, RUN RUN RUN, nice" Smile
