On the subject of sleep....F is in her bed. Asleep. HER BED! ASLEEP! Before 10pm!

Yw I hope you are enjoying lots of cuddles, amd are being spoilt by dh.

Kyz · 30/09/2014 19:50

Evening everyone :)

oh noes bp I had the opposite, i took e on one expecting a terrified reaction and he loved it! I agree with F, they are scary things with their scary painted weirdy animals!

ouch zamboni though it sounds like a lovely soup if less chilli went in it!

LOL pass p is brilliant!

pikz that's brilliant also!

E doesn't really do sentences. He does a few two or three word phrases, like there it is or shoes on. I know he'll get there but in the meantime I am thoroughly enjoying hearing all the random things the quiche babies are up to!

Izzy I'll bet when your J starts he won't stop again :)

bless her eliza I agree though, clowns are a bit weird!

gosh yw you must be shattered - hope the prodding and poking mission went well and more sleep is had tonight :)

jims I just choked on hot chocolate, thanks for that one! hahahahaha! That sounds like an awful dream :(

Haha pr when we get back home from a trip out, usually one or two of the dogs are paws over the stairgait and e points and shouts 'DOWN', clearly I shout at the dogs too much Blush

now zamboni that's technically a story he told there methinks, a whole story! Thats great re your DH and a mummy friend :) Bet it'll be lovely to have that bit of adult company as you said :)

woohoo, that's brill bp :)

Passmethecrisps · 30/09/2014 21:11

Evening!

It is a funny thing reading about the adventures of the new wellies addition. I love reading about it all and it makes my tummy all flip over. Even the cluster feeding and the sleeplessness. It must be very different second time around though as you have two babies to think about not just one.

The dream sounds terrible jims. I had a dream recently about work where I slapped a child hard across the face. It was so vivid that it took me days to shake the sick feeling whenever I went past one particular staff member who witnessed the dream slap. On a lighter dream note I still remember the dream I had where I had izzy's j in the basket of a buggy and I lost him!

You can sleep like a star fish tonight then bp!

We had a visit from p during the night again last night. At almost exactly the same time. Unfortunately this time she didn't settle quite so well and it was 6am before I heard her breathing calm. I was up at 6:30 so she didn't get long.

Anyone else inundated with fruit flies in the house? We are sitting in a cloud of the little blighters. I suspect it has been the dry month.

GTbaby · 30/09/2014 21:17

Exhausted. So much so I'm in bed. Unheard of this early.
Night night.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 30/09/2014 21:18

pass that made me laugh. I remember you telling us about that dream

PetiteRaleuse · 30/09/2014 22:24

Greys season 11. Yay! My comfort tv is back.

LO was wandering round barefoot earlier. She picked up a shoe and coolly walloped a big spider with it. It was instantly squashed. Then she walloped it again. Twice. I am in two minds as to being in awe of her cool reaction to spider or terrified by the cold blooded murder.

In other news she stubbed her poorly toe and it pissed blood all over the place. :( She was fine until DH noticed and started panicking.

Poor baby. (LO, not DH).

Having a few issues with DD1. Not sure how to handle so will sleep on it then come back to quiche for a hug and advice. She is showing signs of what I now know to b anxiety. Am wondering if I have caused it or if it is genetic.

Night quiche.

StuntNun · 30/09/2014 22:56

You didn't cause it PR it's just bad luck. My DS2 suffers terribly with anxiety and has abdominal migraines as a result. DS1 however doesn't give a shit about anything. Just random chance how their personalities develop.

OP posts:
Pikz · 01/10/2014 06:25

PR anxiety isn't genetic as stunt says its a random personality trait.

Wandathewindfairy · 01/10/2014 07:56

prplease don't worry. It is not you. My dD1 is very anxious and worries about everything. She still worries about things that happened, or could have happened and didn't even happen, 2 years ago. Unfortunately, talking to other mums it seems to be an eldest child thing. I am not saying there is ay real evidence or it is an actual "thing" but a lot of people I have spoken to mention that their dc1 has lots of empathy, is v sensitive, worries, gets anxious about stuff. (((Hugs))))

PetiteRaleuse · 01/10/2014 09:41

Thanks quiche :)

Lily311 · 01/10/2014 09:50

Pls don't worry pr, O is a very anxious child as well. I don't think she inherited it, it's just part of who she is really.

I am very very tired today, last night went for a swim and sauna at 9 pm and didn't get back home before 11.30. Poor sitter. Hope she is having a better day :).

Watched Grey's yesterday, also Castle is back. Plus Downton. I'm spoiled. Today's task is finishing northern lights as the course starts on Monday and I have readings to do for my other course as well before.

Pikz · 01/10/2014 11:35

Vomit vomit everywhere vomit vomit

PetiteRaleuse · 01/10/2014 12:08

Thanks pikz gross.

I have never seen Castle. I don't get Downton. I like period drama usually but just don't get the attraction with this one.

Wandathewindfairy · 01/10/2014 13:15

Is it ok to be Envy Envy Envy Envy Envy at DH going to Florence. I feel so upset.

As upset as I did when we first met and he went on holiday with his then OH.

I am really jealous.

Really jealous.

Wandathewindfairy · 01/10/2014 13:16

In fact pikz pass back the bucket.

I am that jealous.

Pikz · 01/10/2014 14:03

It is ok wanda big hugs

I am losing the vomit will to live. 7 sets of clothes and all the bedding :( plus two sets for me

What do you give a vomiting child?

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/10/2014 14:16

pikz Thanks hope it's over soon!

wanda and some Thanks for you too.

I love downton. Not heard of castle. will have to look it up.

Currently lying on the sofa. E is napping and I really want to be decorating but I feel bloody awful. like I'm in labour. so I'm being sensible and lying down. Feel so much better for it actually.

StuntNun · 01/10/2014 14:20

What series of Castle are you on Lily? Series 6 was really good, it's so funny. Through a bizarre set of circumstances I've seen series 1, 3, 5 and 6 but not 2 or 4 so I'm constantly confused. I got five episodes into series 2 before it was pulled from Sky On Demand so I'll have to fork out for the DVD.

Wandathewindfairy · 01/10/2014 15:03

Thanks for the Thanks

But

Wahhhhhhhhhh I want to be sitting In a cafe in a piazza In the autumn afternoon sunshine drinking a coffee. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh.

What is Castle?

StuntNun · 01/10/2014 17:43

It's an American odd couple police drama Wanda but very very funny.

OP posts:
Lily311 · 01/10/2014 17:58

The new one. Not sure which season is that. Only started airing in America.

Zamboni · 01/10/2014 19:19

Howdy quiche. Currently playing Go The Fuck To Sleep here. Epic tantrums do rather get in the way of falling asleep you see. Grrrr.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/10/2014 19:37

Ditto zamboni.

Kyz · 01/10/2014 19:53

Evening everyone!

pass we're getting lovely big spiders here rather than fruit flies. That's fine by me, I like spiders :) There was a great whacking one in the bath as I went to run it and I got it out and showed it to E who promptly ran away. When he last saw a spider a good while back, months i'd say, he was fine with it but now he seemed scared. I am not scared of spiders and show no reaction to them, this must be his personal thing. Anyway after five minutes of me handling the spider, he came over and seemed quite curious, he would go as far as excitedly waving and exclaiming 'helloooooo' which made me chuckle. We put mr spider outside before the bath, though eric wanted him to join in bathtime!

how are things gt?

haven't watched greys pr i am guessing it's good though? I have nearly finished dexter, we have got 4 or 5 episodes left so need something to watch after this. I know it must be hard not to worry re anxiety and dd1 but please do try not to - lots of other quichesters have said lots of sensible things, big hugs x

sounds like you will be busy lily, and a swim and sauna so late sounds like it could be quite relaxing :)

oh wanda have some hugs

eek pikz when e had his bug we were told to give small sips of water at first and nothing more. Hope it goes away swiftly!

sounds like not much fun Zamboni I have a small boy shrieking over his monitor also, fab stuff!! He keeps going quiet though and I am hopeful. Next doors fucking cunting wanking arse shitting miserable twatting dog woke him up after he'd been off for ten mins so he's going to be like this for a while I think.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/10/2014 20:12

Go the fuck to sleep going on here too. DD1 is excellent at bedtime now. LO has taken over that phase now.
