How was your night with F in the end bp ?

BigPigLittlePig · 27/09/2014 08:23

She slept from midnight til 6, fruit Envy

F wil often ask for calpol on nights like last night, I have no problem giving it as it's a safe drug and only a one off. We have previously given dsd a tiny drop when we suspected she was trying to pull a fast one but she was older...

fruitpastilles · 27/09/2014 08:27

Yes that's what I thought, she has only started doing it the last week and she is teething so there are days when she does need it, but I think she's decided she loves it now so keeps asking. Oh and when I said 5ml, I meant 1ml. 5ml is what she has when she actually needs it.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/09/2014 09:06

Does anyone want an annoying husband and overexcited shrieky 7yo? He probably has some plus points but am struggling to think of what they are at the mo Angry Creating calm relaxing weekend mornings isn't one of them Angry Angry

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/09/2014 09:35

bplp wanna swap for one that's refusing to leave the house as the ryder cup is on. Oh hang on, he is leaving the house tomorrow morning but that's to play golf!

Wandathewindfairy · 27/09/2014 09:57

Having had both post cs and post vb poos I highly recommend the post cs poo as the lesser of the two evils. Honestly. Even after the fairly straightforward birth.

The new quiche addition and snuggling a newborn yesterday has made m v nostalgic about my births. 1 planned cs for breech, one drugged up off my face took forever, one stuck emergency spinal and forceps and one text book. It is dd1s birthday today, generally feeling nostalgic.

Not swapping my husband he is in good books. Grin

Wah Lilly has just aged me ten years by randomly turning blue / grey and stopping breathing. It was only for a couple of seconds but Wah!!!!

Turns out her blood sugars were low. Paed is going to check her over - guess we're not going home today Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 27/09/2014 10:51

Shock how scary for you yw .

BigPigLittlePig · 27/09/2014 11:08

Oh crumbs, they're scary wee critters when they do things like that yw. Glad it happened in hospital though, where help is on hand.

fruitpastilles · 27/09/2014 11:16

Oh no yw how scary!

Happy birthday to dd1 wanda Smile

YellowWellies · 27/09/2014 11:19

Clean bill of health from the paed. Topping up with EBM and nutramigen today to sort out blood sugars. My niece did the same thing the first night home from hospital. Am so glad we were here! Shock

Wandathewindfairy · 27/09/2014 12:39

So, are you home today then yw ? That sounds scary.

Wandathewindfairy · 27/09/2014 12:43

Oh wow and I saved about £100 in tk Max today!

Wandathewindfairy · 27/09/2014 12:45

I didn't buy the Betty Barclay (sp) bag, the Ghost top and the Roxy
Boots I put in my trolley.

Now I am home I wish I had.

However, I am having a spending money embargo.

YellowWellies · 27/09/2014 13:08

Wanda nope hopefully home tomorrow if she doesn't pull more stunts!

Wooo I've never spotted Ghost stuff in tkmaxx! Well done you though x

YellowWellies · 27/09/2014 14:50

Lilla did another grey colour change / apnoea lets scare the shits and giggles out of Mummy and the nurses episode. Paed coming up to investigate. Guess what she reckons it is?

Yep.... I didn't have to say a word.....

.... Reflux.

Sigh at least this time I might not have to fight tooth and claw for a diagnosis. Hmm

izzybizzybuzzybees · 27/09/2014 16:32

Oh no yw . Not good. However an early diagnosis has got to be a good thing if it is. Hope you're taking it easy.

Wandathewindfairy · 27/09/2014 17:19

No way. Though how great if you know from the offset. Xx

PetiteRaleuse · 27/09/2014 18:46

Scary way of saving you a lot of gp hassle later on ?

Reflux doesn't necessarily mean intolerances to the same extent as J though does it?

BigPigLittlePig · 27/09/2014 19:12

Wasn't it Kyzs littlest sister who did that a few times? At least as pr says, it's an early diagnosis, and you are, of course, the resident reflux expert Grin

How is the wee bear, has he been to see his new sister again?

Kyz · 27/09/2014 19:55

Evening all :)

well remembered bp! yep yw my littlest sister did the weird turning blue/stopping breathing thing down to reflux - was very scary stuff! Hopefully though since little L has done it in front of nurses etc and it's an early diagnosis you'll get any meds etc she needs. Bless you, have some hugs xx

Pass the series i'm reading atm is by Chris Carter - the Robert Hunter set. Not sure if he does any more, but the first book is the crucifix killer. They're quite gruesome but really good, if you like serial killer type books then i'd recommend them. I normally stick to this kind of stuff but tbh i'll read anything and like trying new things.

sounds all stressy qm hope you're looking after yourself!

I too remember the first post vb poo. I don't think you forget such an experience. The midwife said to me 'when you go for a number two, play like a man and just let it fall out'. I did exactly that.

These baby discos sound pretty funky!

Today wasn't too bad, e was hilarious! I feel about 8 months pregnant though. Don't know what all this bloating is about but it's getting right on my nerves!

BigPigLittlePig · 27/09/2014 20:01

Play like a man and let it fall out

Hahahahahahahahahahaha Grin

Wandathewindfairy · 27/09/2014 20:16

Anhhhhhhhh bed at 20:00 hours. Perfect! Grin

Wandathewindfairy · 27/09/2014 20:18

Peppermint tea kyz, peppermint tea. It was my friend I. That first bloaty trimester for four lovely babies and now I still use it for those bloaty days.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 27/09/2014 23:17

Those have been my instructions top. With all my surgical repairs I've been told not to push at all. Just let my body do its own thing.... Not easy!
