Morning! My little bundle of joy has been up since 4:40 and downstairs is destroyed already. She is currently trying to sit on a plastic discovery tree thing, feeding her toy dog with a frying pan Grin
Brew all round.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/09/2014 09:27

Morning all. Got up very early for a class at 7, which meant getting the girls ready was interesting. Anyway, done now.

Lunch with a friend planned for today. And that's it. Today I am not studying and not translating. I might read or will more likely keep on with Modern Family on Netflix. I should read though.

I have made a pledge to not start any new books until I finish the ones I am reading. Right now I am reading "How Eskimos Keep Their Babies Warm" which is one that MN Bookclub sent me at some point as part of a giveaway. I really thought it would be an interesting read but am not enjoying it at all. Am about half way through and forcing myself to go to the end in case there is a good chapter.

It is a wast e of a book. Such a good idea and so much scope, but meh. Anyone want it when I am done? I just sold it so well after all

Lily311 · 26/09/2014 10:08

I'm doing Children's literature as one of my course so currently reading the northern lights, and just finished Harry potter. I read them before and they are such easy reads, really enjoy them.

What's everyone's weekend plans? I'm going to see my parents tmrw and running a 6k race on Sunday.

YellowWellies · 26/09/2014 10:34

Whoop L seems to have avoided jaundice! But she has a tongue tie and double crown so I'll be going dairy free again once home after a tiramisu blow out! Her blood sugars keep dipping so she's had a couple of nutramigen top ups but fingers crossed once her tongue is cut she'll feed much better. She's dead keen, tries to latch every time I'm vaguely near but would probably ingest more once cut. She is also utterly adorable. Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

izzybizzybuzzybees · 26/09/2014 11:08

Glad L is feeding well. When will tie be cut? The double Crown thing is odd... E had one and no other issues.. Major hassle now doing her hair for school tho,

YellowWellies · 26/09/2014 11:42

At 2 - we got a cancellation - otherwise it could have been 10 days!

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/09/2014 11:48

Haha pr after that review I think I'll pass thanks.

yw sorry to hear you have to go diary free but I guess now you are an expert at managing it it should be easier 2nd time round. Hope the tongue tie gets delt with soon. At least it was spotted nice and quickly.

just back from taking E swimming. Not been for a while. After a shakey start she really enjoyed it and didn't want to get out. We were in there nearly an hour and a half.

in answer to lilys question, tomorrow I am taking the girls to a thing called baby loves disco. It's in a "club" in london and they have a disco, face painting, craft things. And the bar is open for the adults too (not that that is any good to me). Then in the evening I'm back up town for a friend's birthday. I'm going to be knackered!

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/09/2014 11:50

Cross posts yw. Good it's getting sorted so quickly. Any idea when you will be going home. With DD1 I was desperate to get home. I think with this one I'd quite enjoy being in hospital for a bit!

YellowWellies · 26/09/2014 12:51

No its looking like she's getting jaundice. So she'll be on the sunbeds soon. Boo. She really is determined to copy J. We were going to be let out sat or sun but that's unlikely now.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/09/2014 13:09

Nice to see the tongue tie is being dealt with so quickly. So it should be 10 days would be an unacceptable wait for something which takes less than three minutes. Sorry about the jaundice. Tis v common though can't they let you home and see if it clears up in the next couple of days? I was told to pop LO out in the sun or by the window and give it a few days.

I would love to re-read the Northern Lights trilogy I cried so much at the end of it though I swore I would never re-read it again. Blush

We seem to have a playdate organised for tomorrow afternoon then on Sunday we are going to the forest nursery open morning.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/09/2014 13:10

How is the pain yw ? Hope you're not overdoing it

izzybizzybuzzybees · 26/09/2014 15:39

Glad to hear it's getting corrected so soon. Hope the sun beds help and you and her escape soon

BigPigLittlePig · 26/09/2014 15:52

They got v twitchy about F with her jaundice as she was early - perhaps they are more lenient the closer to term the baby is? Fc a few rays zap that jaundice and allow you home soon, yw.

Tired today, and sleep dodging toddler Envy

YellowWellies · 26/09/2014 16:29

I'm a sucker for a period property - that place is lush and such good value! Boo that its sold but am v envious of the house hunting.

L is feeding much better after her TT was snipped. She's just fed for an hour, both sides, then slithered off with a fat belch.Smile

Jonas and DH have just been to visit. J drew her a picture of a parrot and informed us he "loved sister" Smile . He's an utter Daddy's boy after my late night disappearing act. But he did give me and a BF Lilla a huge cuddle.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 26/09/2014 16:39

Wow it's huge! Is that two beds in one room beside each other?! Wow!

fruitpastilles · 26/09/2014 16:43

isles that's lovely, I love how modern it is inside. I keep doing that too, finding lovely properties that have already gone, it's so annoying.

yw glad to hear everything went well with the snip. Love that J said that, how cute.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/09/2014 16:56

Great news yw it certainly makes a difference. Lovely that J is taking so well to his little sister :)

isles wow! That's beautiful. I really need to move to Scotland.

DH out tonight. I was planning on eating a nice meal with the girls then us all going to bed early but left the room for 10 mins to put sheets on a bed and came back and the girls were sat at their little table with a meal of babybels, yoghurts chocolate biscuits, fruit pouches and cherry tomatoes. Which makes it sound like I don't feed them, but it was half past 5, well before their usual mealtime which is half 6 so they shouldn't have been starving.

So I guess it'll be dinner for one.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/09/2014 17:29

We are all in pjs, dinner eaten (2nd helpings for a hungry dsd) and cuddled up watching Madagascar 3 and nomming dolly mix Smile Smile Smile

isles7 · 26/09/2014 19:17

It's in a shit part of town with zero parking but I could seriously compromise for that! Grump, I keep being drawn back to period, tall ceilings and beautiful architecture but my sensible head says new build Hmm

I've posted a wardrobe emergency on Facebook.

YW how sweet that J adores his wee sister already! The only person T loves is peppa pig. Or grandad. "mummy howibal" apparently Hmm Hmm
