Plus it would leave me with 2.5 hrs less a day to study and work.

Kyz · 24/09/2014 14:18

Afternoon everyone :) Phew, I made it till nap time, here's hoping I can survive the stint between nap time and bed time, or miraculously he wakes up in a better mood

pass i think p sounds glorious! She's full of character I reckon, and i'm constantly told this is a good thing!

izzy I hope J is ok? bless him

pikz that's a fab saying

I guess pr that with the way things are at school for DD1 no news is good news? I'm sure they'll tell you if there's anything the matter, but I bet it's really weird for you. I'm sure you'll get used to it and it'll seem totally normal :) You too eliza :)

FX mini wellies stays head down and makes an appearance soon!

wooohhhoooooo qmI'm SO excited for you

pass e pulls stunts like that all the time, he's a terror for doing something BECAUSE he shouldn't. He knows and that makes it all the more funny. I've no idea how to tackle this, and have to try my hardest not to laugh at him sometimes!

awesome horsey massive well done to you! How is E?

eek pr sounds like a stressy day, I did the french exchange at school and vaguely remember finishing half day on a wednesday. I would've been in secondary school then. Can't for the life of me remember where we stayed but we had a trip to paris and also to Lyon/Leon/Laon? if that's even a place. I am going from my memory, I was 11 iirc. A long while ago.

I saw your carrot cake wanda it looks bloody luffly

Gosh that sounds like a lovely setup for school dinners pr!

Bless her eliza :) Sounds like she's doing fab of late :)

YellowWellies · 24/09/2014 18:32

Hello all! Still contracting. Still no sign of arrival. Really hoped s/he might have arrived today as its my Mum's anniversary but unless its a ridiculously speedy affair its looking unlikely. DH and I are having a curry, shagging, raspberry leaf tea and gin swilling, colostrum expressing, pineapple chomping marathon tonight.

Had a good MW / consultant appointment earlier. So long as my insulin intake doesn't rise to 20+ in a day I should be able to labour in the pool without a sliding scale drip! And if he/she is back to back again they confirmed they do do mobile epidurals and would be happy to let me rest for an hour between max dilation and commencing pushing to give baby chance to turn. MW reckons any day now, I'm wondering if this wee bugger can keep this up for the next 17 days til I'm induced!

GTbaby · 24/09/2014 19:47

You vanished off my list. My FB won't refresh. I need my quiche fix Wink

Exhausted. I managed to get an early night however it was 1of As worst nights Sad so may as well have stayed up.

Bday weekend is fast approaching. Busy busy. But now my lil bubba is asleep I've hot to make the transfer and sort out dinner

PetiteRaleuse · 24/09/2014 19:49

You must be knackered yw I remember those last few weeks with DD1 well. Occasionally they would stop for a short while. Then I'd turn over or have a drink and they'd start up again. I suppose though it's best for them to stay in as long as possible. Thanks for today.

kyz it's 5 courses but still canteen food.

Fucking awful period pain going on here. Plus I got a shock when I weighed myself today. In my defence French jaffa cakes which are better than the original ones have been on offer for weeks.

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/09/2014 22:14

Oh yw it's looking unlikely for the 24th now Sad But still possible. There are a couple of hours left. Come on mini wellies!!!

pr I don't like jaffa cakes. This always upsets my DH as he can't understand it. I like chocolate I like cake and I like orange. It must be the texture.

GTbaby · 24/09/2014 22:45

See Eliza I don't like oranges. Or orange chocolate (or mint as a side comment). But I love Jaffa cakes. And while in hospital labouring with A realised they are lush in custard.

YellowWellies · 24/09/2014 22:55

I'm with Eliza jaffa cakes are like wee bath sponges - their texture makes them Envy .

PR I'm doing OK - getting OK sleep. Just a bit bored now! and blimmin impatient

izzybizzybuzzybees · 24/09/2014 22:58

The best Jaffa cakes are m&s ones....yum!

YellowWellies · 24/09/2014 23:15

My waters have just gone on the 24th September as I wished! Smile

Lily311 · 25/09/2014 04:05

Exciting! Good luck, xxx

Wandathewindfairy · 25/09/2014 06:35

Hope you are ok yw am going tone thinking of u all dayxx

fruitpastilles · 25/09/2014 06:48

How exciting yw fingers crossed minimini wellies will be here very very soon!

We viewed a house last night and loved it. We don't think we will get it though as it's the top end of our budget and is offers in excess of, so we reckon it will go for more than we can afford Sad
Still putting an offer in though, so fingers crossed!

Wandathewindfairy · 25/09/2014 08:07

fruit fingers crossed for you too.

stunt I have moved myself onto the shred level 3. Where I do prefer it to level 2 I think it is killing me. I normally do it Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri. Last night I just did some weights, and some squats and a plank. I can't bring myself to do it today. My whole body is killing me. So ...

A.) should I have a rest day
B.)would it actually be better to do it and shred through the pain

Wandathewindfairy · 25/09/2014 08:08

But I want to look like Natalie.

Or at least Anita

misslaughalot · 25/09/2014 08:13

Ooh do we think minimini wellies might be here?! Exciting!

Fruit where is the house? You never know what the owners might accept so good luck!

Congratulations Horsey! I started a masters a few months before O was born, passed one module then put it on hold as I just couldn't manage it with O and working part time, so am in awe of those who study with children. I'll complete it one day though...

All this cake talk is making me want to do some baking with O this morning!

Elizadoesdolittle · 25/09/2014 08:15

yw fab news. mini wellies might be here as we speak.

fruit fingers crossed for you.

Taking E to a gymnastics class today. That will be interesting!

YellowWellies · 25/09/2014 08:30

Miniwellies should be here by 10 but it will likely be by CS as the beloved wee feck turned breech again last night. S/he always turns breech when faced with the Doppler? Contractions have calmed now there's less pressure in my belly so I had a quiet night even if I was too excited to get more than a couple of hours. Wish us luck!

I'm so thirsty!!! Have been fasted for my CS and would love a pint of water.

fruitpastilles · 25/09/2014 08:33

Hmm wanda it would probably be best to carry on today I wouldn't though because I'm a wimp

miss the house is in Hednesford in Cannock, I'm hoping there isn't as much interest in it as the owner was saying, but she seemed very genuine so I don't think she was lying.

eliza gymnastics sounds fab, I want S to start something like that, I didn't realise they could do it so soon. I'm going to look into it!

fruitpastilles · 25/09/2014 08:35

Oh wow yw I can't believe in a couple of hours you will most likely have a tiny brand new baby! Booo to he/she turning again though.
Fingers crossed everything goes as smoothly as possible xx

YellowWellies · 25/09/2014 08:44

I know it sounds really stupid but its really just hit me that soon Jonas won't be my only child. And I'm a bit Shock .

Can hear lots of lovely newborns in the other rooms Smile

Just waiting for the docs whilst DH goes and has an elicit Costa coffee and breakfast out of sight from the hungry, thirsty, soon not to be preggers lady! The chairs DHs have to kip in here are shit!

Pikz · 25/09/2014 09:01

YW I've been there waiting for my cS whilst thirsty and hungry. Enjoy these few precious last minutes. CS is calm and controlled and you will meet them oh so very soon. Big hugs xxx

Jims · 25/09/2014 09:02

yw loads and loads of luck and best wishes. Hope it all goes swimmingly well. V excited for you!

fruit good luck with offer. We wrote a (sickeningly gushing) letter with ours explaining how i was pregnant as the sellers clearly wanted to sell to a family not developer. Don't know if that might help you.

eliza gymnastics sounds fab. My boys went to a gym party the other day and loved it.

Congrats horsey. V impressed with studying plus small person efforts.

I'm back in london heading for the office. Normal working at home day but am meeting uni mates for dinner so have come in instead. V much looking forward to that. Hope I make it through the day without getting wiped out!

StuntNun · 25/09/2014 09:08

Oh YW you're about to find out that two are even better than one. Good luck and take it easy post-CS. The first couple of days are the hardest but by the third you'll be a lot less sore and able to potter around a bit.

OP posts:
Elizadoesdolittle · 25/09/2014 09:57

yw I can't imagine what it's like sitting round waiting in a hospital knowing that very soon you'll be meeting your baby. Ever so exciting I bet but probably bit nerve racking too. Massive amounts of luck. xx

jims enjoy your night out. hope you last.
