BP s/he is head down and has been since Thursday thank goodness. ROA but not yet back to back!

QuicheMama · 23/09/2014 19:56

Not caught up properly as stupidly busy.

Finished work today. Words cannot express how fucking good that feels!

Had a wonderful photo shoot of the kids. The pics are fab. Something for my Mum and Dad to cling to when they are missing them. I am so blessed, and so happy at the moment, plus terrified too SmileSmileGrin

BigPigLittlePig · 23/09/2014 20:16

Whooooòooop!

Passmethecrisps · 23/09/2014 20:17

Amazing news about finishing work!! You must be so excited. Xxxx

Very frustrating times for you yw.

I can understand that totally pr and eliza. I suspect there will be a change again once they finally get to secondary school. I read notes about very actively involved parents who are always on touch with teacher and never hear from them at all. The stages of development need different responses but I personally like to know how much she has eaten and whether she has pooed! Especially considering I used to time her naps with a stop watch

What is up with her lilly? Just clingy?

Thank you for your reassurance about the telling off. I found out this morning that it was actually CM who have her a telling of for the first time not a librarian. This made me feel a lot better. She is getting pretty wild at the moment mind you. She took a big drink earlier then fountained it out of her mouth while laughing like a drain.

BigPigLittlePig · 23/09/2014 20:23

Pass the thing I find hardest when they pull stunts like that is not laughing at them Blush

Passmethecrisps · 23/09/2014 20:30

Yep. I did. Particularly when she lolloped around laughing saying "naughteeeee"

PetiteRaleuse · 23/09/2014 20:31

Ha ha. Me too Grin

Jims · 23/09/2014 20:41

pass That's brilliant. We also do much laughing behind our hands.
Our little library doesn't care about noisy toddlers. There are just too many of them around here for that plus they are very in favour of encouraging kids in.

vq hurrah! well done you.

yw hang on in there. I'm hoping the contractions aren't too uncomfortable in the meantime.

Facebook has made me smile this evening. Am knackered today so early night here I suspect. F had a right whinge this evening but we think he's just full of cold and finally getting the missing canine tooth.

horseylady · 23/09/2014 20:59

QM so excited for you!

PrBrew and hugs good luck today

Happy fucking fake Friday to me. Upside of part time. Thank god as L cried this morning for the first time in ages when I dropped him off, think it's because I wasn't around yesterday as had 14hr day in the city

Wandathewindfairy · 24/09/2014 08:22

pr is school open there on a Saturday morning? And do they always have Wednesdays off or does that change at some point? Sorry your night was poo.

I feel like I have turned into a lurker. I read but don't have time to post. That is terrible.

pikz big hugs! I know, like most of us know I think! it can become all consuming. Why don't you treat yourself to a nice session of reflexology and just mention you are ttc. If nothing else is relaxing and you need to relax.

Well done norsey I am incredibly impressed.

Keep posting and hanging upside down yw

Not much up with me at the mo. I am loving the school gate life. I have made a massive batch of carrot cakes for the school tea party and since I couldn't find any mini carrot decs in the supermarche I made some and am quite pleased with myself.

Pikz · 24/09/2014 08:24

< coverts a wanda carrot cake >

Wanda brilliant suggestion. Have started reflexology and it's really helping

Pikz · 24/09/2014 08:31

Wanda that said I was converting your carrot cakes but it disappeared!

Lily311 · 24/09/2014 08:58

Well done horsey
pr boo for shit night
I haven't made cakes for ages, must get back to it actually. O loves her nursery now, this week she just run in and blew me a kiss. A week ago I was questioning myself whether it was a good idea to put her there or not and look at her now. Clever girl.

I went for a run this am, 7,5km in 43 min.

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/09/2014 09:34

Well done horsey

qm how exciting!

E's nearly new cost a fortune clarks shoes got left in the garden and one has gone missing. I was hoping they'd last till she grew to the next size. She's now wandering around wearing an old pair of DD1S that are too big. She looks like she has clown feet. So off to the shoe shop again .

PetiteRaleuse · 24/09/2014 09:52

DD1's school is open Wednesday mornings now instead of Saturday mornings. It is closed Wednesday after 11.45. To pay for DD1's extortionate canteen fees I cut LO's hours down at nursery quite radically, so she stays at home on Wednesdays now and leaves mid afternoon the other days. I've lopped 18 hours a week off her contract! Admittedly the original contract was done when I was expecting to go back to work full time last year.

And until secondary school yes they will have Wednesday afternoons off. Not sure about once at secondary school but who knows where we will be living by then.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/09/2014 09:54

wanda I think you should post a picture of your carrot cake decorations so we can all admire them.

Wandathewindfairy · 24/09/2014 10:01

Ok. See fb is easier I thunk.

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/09/2014 12:15

pr how odd that school was open on Saturdays. I am very grateful for the free school meals that DD1 currently gets.

Talking of eating, since I made that appointment with the consultant E's eating has been so much better. For 3 days in a row she ate all her meals without any sick which is just unheard of. She's going to make me look a fool when I see the consultant isn't she.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/09/2014 12:30

The actual school meal here isn't too expensive. But if I want her to have it I also have to pay for the bus to go to the canteen, and for the wraparound care as the teaching staff have a two hour lunch break. As you have the choice to bring them home for lunch the wraparound care is paid extra. It costs me around €15 a day, 4 days a week, term time only.

The other option would be to bring her home between 12 and 2 and feed her at home, but it would break up the day for us both and she eats a 5 course meal at the canteen with her friends.
