lolli thats gorgeous.

Wow exciting for tugs and meringue, soon be cuddling yummy newborns Grin

Birdies · 14/02/2015 22:30

Ugh crapness at posting, sorry. Hope everyone is ok, especially salt, hope you're ok after your anniversary (and today).

lolli that dress is stunning, hope we get to see some wedding pics afterwards as well.

X is now stringing some words together too although she still chats away in her own little language most of the time and most things aren't pronounced properly at all. Actually I think her first three words together were "go away mummy". Hmm!

Please can I ask for advice about beds? If they sleep well in a cot, why would you move them to a bed? I'm worried about the sleep going wrong if I change anything but I don't want to be a bad mummy either. She's still in a sleeping bag so can't really attempt to climb out yet.

lollipoppi · 15/02/2015 12:21

Thank you Smile
The valentines chaos is over for another year, I got 2 hours sleep on Friday night, Mother's Day in 4 weeks!

Birdies, dd isn't in a bed, she can climb in and out of her cot, she spends most of the day doing this whilst playing but once she is in bed and the door is shut she has never attempted to get out of the cot, I'm not putting her in a bed until she starts getting out of the cot at night!

Tugs and glorious hope your both ok, also jealous you will be having new baby snuggles soon, mmmnnnnnn new morn baby smell

lollipoppi · 15/02/2015 12:22

Doh, tugs and meringue!

glorious · 15/02/2015 13:16

I wish! Smile

thank you for all your kind thoughts. i have bought a house!!!!! i love hearing all of your news x

glorious · 16/02/2015 07:32

Excellent salt, tell us about it. Do you need to do anything to it or is it good already?

Birdies · 16/02/2015 15:48

That's brilliant news salt! Could we see a photo maybe or is that being too nosey?! I love looking at houses. Has Floss settled in well too? Xx

lollipoppi · 16/02/2015 17:32

Fantastic news salt! Congrats ??
When do you move in?

LetThereBeCupcakes · 17/02/2015 07:44

Hello everybody! Been lurking but struggling to post as my phone is on it's last legs and I never get chance to sit at the PC.

So much excitement - weddings, babies, new houses! I'm getting a bit jealous. We're already married (to those going to child-free weddings, we had 36 under 12s at our wedding and set the photographer a challenge to get a photo of them all. That kept them busy for a while!), and no way am I moving house, which leaves baby. Hmm. Maybe not!

Birdies you wouldn't Grin. So long as they're safe in the cot (ie not likely to climb out and fall) leave them be. Sadly my DS was in and out like a yo-you so the sides had to come off.

DS has been through a phase of not going to bed until 8.30-9pm which was awful, never got any time with DH. He hasn't had a nap since Friday and is now in bed asleep by 6.30. Lovely having our evenings back but the afternoons are long!

Speech is coming on really well now. His favourite phrase is "I do it!". Usually followed a few seconds later by "Mummy HELP."

DH did some work on our bathroom yesterday. He started doing it in June 2013 and I've not had a shower since, so I'm very excited about potential progress!

lollipoppi · 17/02/2015 08:29

Cupcakes we have 24 under 12s coming, excellent idea about the photographer getting a snap of them all! We've hired a childrens entertainer and soft play equipment, hoping this will keep them all entertained
Dd and DS will be sat on the top table with us too which should be interesting Grin

JuniperTisane · 17/02/2015 09:33

Congratulations Lolli Grin Better have some rules for the adults about hogging the soft play...

Salt how exciting! When are you likely to move in? Does Floss have any idea about it?

I'm considering removing the cotside too Birdies though not before we go away for a long weekend in 3 weeks time. I'm not dealing with that in a strange bedroom! However it will probably be around easter/late spring I think. Door gate at the ready!

Latest speech here is "Course you can!" when asked if Dan wants something. Also he does a recognisable rendition of What the Ladybird Heard (at least, I can hear the animal sounds and the general gist of the story in the right order, he isn't reciting word for word).

Sun is out today, I'm trying to spring-clean with two preschoolers under my feet. At least I can shove them in the garden for a bit. and shut the door

AppleCrumples · 21/02/2015 12:28

Ffs just typed message and tried to add pic of ivy ans lost the whole thing!!!

Cot for as long as possible here.

Salt hope the move goes smoothly

Ivy lost her bunny (bubba) in the library yesterday, the panic! I actuallycried on the lovely llibrarian who finally found it Blush

LetThereBeCupcakes · 25/02/2015 07:36

Does anybody else have trouble accessing this thread via "I'm on"? Is it just because it's so big now? It's annoying.

apple thank goodness you found it! DS has his beloved cot-cot bear, but fortunately he's happy that it stays home (unless we're going away overnight), so less chance of losing her!

Spent the weekend at the in-laws having a lovely time catching up with everybody. SIL has pet snakes which DS was very taken with and hasn't stopped talking about them since! She is in the process of adopting and has just been matched with a 2YO boy so we're all very excited. Grin

Going to have a crack at potty training today. Wish us luck!

JuniperTisane · 26/02/2015 22:22

I have trouble accessing this thread from my phone if its over about 500 posts. I'm posting from the laptop now.

How did the first day go? We are still very much at the stage of thinking its funny to put the potty on the head, then wee next to it. I'm not expecting anything much for a good few months yet.

glorious · 27/02/2015 07:13

apples thank goodness you found it! I've got a spare of E's favourite just in case...

cupcakes that's really exciting about SIL, how long until he joins the family?

Not potty training here either. E is only just starting to countenance sitting on the potty now and then. We're about to book a holiday in Malaysia in May and the I think I'd rather she was still in nappies for that anyway . Glastonbury in June not so much, so we'll see!

AppleCrumples · 27/02/2015 09:47

Am not even considering potty training till early summer and if she doesn't get it before summer hols will probably wait til sept. They all get there in the end :)

We did have 3 bunnies but 1 got lost in tesco at xmas. Dp works there but still refuses to look for it properly! Now we have bubba and more bubba. We have to take bubba everywhere, I spend more time lookinf after bubba than Ivy Confused

lollipoppi · 28/02/2015 15:10

How's the potty training going cupcakes?

I'm also waiting, dd sits on the potty whilst her bath is running, she's never had a wee on the potty, but will quite happily then get into the bath, pee standing up, claps her hands and says wee wee Grin

DP text me earlier and said we're going out for a meal tonight, and to pack an overnight bag! Whoop whoop!
I'm not sure what I'm more excited about, a nice meal out or sleep!

glorious · 28/02/2015 22:38

Very wise apples.

Have fun lolli!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 02/03/2015 07:43

Potty training aborted before we even started! DS had a bit of diarrhoea so I chickened out. We'll have another go next time we have a quiet weekend. he's still keen and uses the potty to poo so I don't really want to hold him back too long.

glorious LO should be home in about 4 weeks, assuming everything goes ahead as scheduled. Finally managed to find a suitable card for them at the weekend - it's ridiculously hard to find adoption cards!

lolli how was your night away? How lovely of your DP to surprise you like that!

MsBug · 02/03/2015 08:11

Found you all!

Just catching up on all your news. Congrats on the house salt Smile

We're thinking about removing the cot sides - dd can't climb over but is getting too heavy to lift over without doing my back in!

Not seriously potty training either - dd likes sitting on the potty but prefers to wee in a nappy or on the floor
