If only I knew how to do one of those link things I'd link this to the old thread!
I'm here

pepperrabbit · 31/08/2006 21:38

I did it!!!! My first link, so proud... though obviously you have to be on the old thread to fully appreciate it's beauty....

colditz · 31/08/2006 21:44

Sorry

Half have you have never flipping seen me!

Daniel is getting porky, he was 16lb at 16 weeks! Still waking at night at least once, has no sodding routine I can recognise, and really not very interested in his milk. The polar opposite of his brother at that age. He is beautifully chatty though, giggles and coos, plays with his toys and rocks from side to dide, attempting to roll, which he casn't do yet at 19 weeks. IMHO I like it like that, ds1 rolled at 11 weeks, NIGHTMARE!

2plus2plus1 · 31/08/2006 22:30

I too would rather the non-rolling variety. Right PITA to be at her beckon call to roll her back. Trying to leave her until she gets really agitated in the hope that she will learn to do it herself . It is rather cute though when she holds her head high in the air with her feet raised, balancing on her belly - looks just like a little seal.

Xavielli · 01/09/2006 00:35

I wish my tummy muscles were strong enough for me to sit like that as long as Elli does! lol

Xavielli · 01/09/2006 10:09

Also re: sleep vs eating things. Mine do both like monsters! DS will sleep 12-12.5 hours at night and have anywhere between a 1-4 hour nap in the day. He can eat more than me.
DD goes 13 hours at night and sleeps some of the day, I really havent paid any attention to how long for

DebitheScot · 01/09/2006 10:26

I have an eater and sleeper, although doesn't sleep much during the day- only usually an hour at the most at lunctime and half an hour at about 5. But then he does still have a good sleep in the morning, after his 6.45/7.00am ish feed he sometimes goes straight back to sleep and sometimes has a play for half an hour then goes back to sleep. He'll then sleep till about 9.00am. At night he's sleeping from about 9.00pm (with a feed at 10.30) so I guess he's doing his 12 hours.

This morning I put him back in his cot at about 9.30 (he'd been awake and playing for half an hour) while I had a shower and got dressed and when I looked in at 10.00 he was asleep again! He's still asleep now which is odd and unlike him.

We're doing well with the food, taking it slowly with just a little bit of pear and a little bit of rice. He pulls a face at the first mouthfull then remembers he likes it. And it hasn't affected how much milk he's drinking which is good.

Well done pepperrabbit for doing the link, I wouldn't manage it

littlepiggie · 01/09/2006 11:19

how???????????????
ds was up every 1-3 hours last night, very bad night!
Are they bf or ff?
He still cant roll onto his belly, which i cant believe as he has been able to roll onto his back since about 10 weeks, and is trying to crawl(well drag himself along on his belly) he pushes up on his feet so that him bum is up in the air and his face is on the floor.
Also so gutted, AF back alseady, thought i would get away with it a bit longer as still bf and not on solids!!!!!!!!!!!!! goes and sulks.

DebitheScot · 01/09/2006 16:43

My ds is mostly bf but at 6.30pm he gets a half bf and then top up from bottle (6oz) plus babyrice, and at 10.30pm gets a 9oz bottle.

He's just fallen asleep again at a time he doesn't normally sleep!

He's still not rolling over, hope he learns how to do it before he starts school!

DebitheScot · 01/09/2006 16:47

oh and thanx Xavielli for the idea about the 'taggie'. I've made one too, I'm very proud of myself. Saw them in the Blooming Marvelous catalogue but I think mine's better Haven't decided whether to make another one the same incase he gets so attatched to it he won't let me wash it

NattyandThomas · 01/09/2006 23:05

thomas is sort of rolling over. only one-way and only when HE feels like it!
he has been blowing raspberries all day today. if you blow one back at him he laughs and does it again! he is getting so cute now, and actually interacts with you which is nice.
shame hes not putting enough weight on, only 14lb 10 when we had him weighed last week, prob due to persisting diareeh!
speak soon

had a better nigh last night, bed at 7, 2 min feed 10.30, 3.30 up at 7.
not on solids yet so cant give baby rice, but dont think thats what it is, think its those nasty peggies.

allyco · 02/09/2006 16:13

where am I? Who am I? What am I doing?

Five kids is bloody hard work .

DD1 worried about her finals
DD2 creeps off regularly whispering into mobile (boys I'll be bound)
DD3 desperate for a sodding HORSE of all things
DD4 can now throw the biggest tantrums I have ever seen and I've seen a few in my time...
DS still adicted to my boobs.

God. I'm almost looking forward to going back to work. Almost.

I really will try to check in more often...

How's everyone? Bet you are all in routines and dead organised and everything

littlepiggie · 02/09/2006 16:29

ROUTINE!!!!!!!!!!
Ds needs anger management, i will just dream about routine till then.

DebitheScot · 02/09/2006 17:14

anyone have any ideas about what could be causing a rash on ds's tummy? I'm sure its nothing serious as its not bothering him and he doesn't have any other illness symptoms. I also did the glass test and it went away so I'm sure its not meningitis. Its little red, slightly raised spots over most of the front of his chest and tummy. He's had them for a couple of days now. Do you think I should go to doctor? He's got 3rd lot (plus the 1st bit of the new one) of injections on Wednesday so could mention it to the nurse then.

Got a letter from the surgery today saying that they are giving the new pneumococal injection in 3 parts. 1st with the 2month jab, 2nd with the 4 month jab and 3rd with MMR. As ds has already had the 2 month jab I presume he'll be getting an extra one at some point between 4 month and MMR. Means he'll be getting 3 injections at once on Wednesday.

NattyandThomas · 02/09/2006 20:36

could be sweat rash, might be washing powder. try changing powder, use one of the trial tablets from bounty pack to save spending money?

NattyandThomas · 02/09/2006 20:38

thomas not in a rountine as such... he goes to bed between 9 and 11 and wakes up for a cuddle and some water around 3 about half the nights in a week.
he is having an evening meal now, before his bath and last bottle, which seems to help (he was waking up every night after prevoiusly sleeping through)
still no further on poo palava tho!!

Xavielli · 03/09/2006 02:03

Mine have both been FF. could be something to do with it I guess. Although my mum exclusively BF me and apparently I was the same.

The taggies are great, mine is nicer than the originals too

my LO's both have the same wonderfully flexible routine. Went round a friends house last night, didn't get home til 2am () they had both fallen asleep in their front room at about 10pm and hadn't stirred til we left. Got home, both went straight into their cots without so much as a whimper! I have been soo blessed! DD will have a bottle 4 times a day, every 4 hours exactly. I fed both on demand, as much is poss with FFing. It is nothing to do with me, they are hust happy to plod along and do thier own thing.

I'll stop now before you think I am trying to boast.

2plus2plus1 · 03/09/2006 07:34

What may you ask am I doing up at this unearthly hour on a Sunday morning? DD3 scuppered everbody and got up at 6:30 . And she didn't go to bed until gone 10pm!!! I then sat up until gone midnight watching a film thinking she would have a lay in.....Serves me right for ketting her have a late afternoon/early evening nap in excess of 3 hours!!!!!

I am FF too - so that probably explains the (usually) good nights. But at 11wks, when I was still BF she was sleeping 6-8hrs most nights so I think that I would have been lucky anyway.

Routine - I was just about to ask if anyone had a routine? I kind of know what to expect until mid afternoon from her, but after that she can be a bit variable. Now DTs are back at school & she will be going to nursery 3 mornings in about 4wks so I think something will emerge then if not before (she says with some kind of desperate hope....)

2plus2plus1 · 03/09/2006 13:28

And now DP has taken DTDs out for a couple of hours so I can catch up on sum sleep & DD3 has just woken up after 25mins sleep. I am not a happy mummy

2plus2plus1 · 03/09/2006 13:29

See I am too tired to get the spelling right for the context. Should have read 'some' sleep.

pepperrabbit · 03/09/2006 21:01

evening all.
No real routine here, which I don't mind in the slightest but when left both boys with my sister on sat as we went to the cricket, my list of helpful instructions said things like -"might have 4 or 5 bottles" "probably have maybe 1 sleep and 2 naps" "definitely has a bath before bed - bottle sometimes before sometimes after..."
She did really well as she's a structured day sort of girl, she said she fed him every 4 hours on the dot and he was as happy as larry!
Went to lunch with DHs granny today, she's very sweet but referred to both boys as "she" all day. Twas a little wearing...
Both boys exhausted after such a busy weekend and practically passed out at 7.30 so that was great

Xavielli · 04/09/2006 10:33

Hehe, I remember DS going to stay over night at my mum's for the first time. She had asked me to write down all the things I do with him in a day. I sat down about 3 times to write a list and found that I just couldnt think what I do! lol So I wrote it all down as I went along the next day. Just goes to show that sometimes even us mums don't notice how well our babies have got into a routine and quite how much we do for them in a day.

DebitheScot · 04/09/2006 11:18

there's about to be a bit on This Morning about the new 'contraversial' immunisation. I didn't realise it was contraversial.
Will be interested to see what they are saying about it. I'll report back later if it's interesting.

Xavielli · 04/09/2006 11:26

He said it was very very well tested and safe and we are soooooo behind the times.
