alexandra I have never noticed any regressions with either of my 2 so you maybe lucky and escape it completely.

pr even better then.

pass plane? I've obviously missed something. So yes!

E remains exactly the same weight as she has for nearly 3 months. My HV said this was a great sign since during this time she has gone from having super high calorie milk to pretty much none at all. As long as dietician is happy I won't need to get her weighed again for another 3 months. Woop Grin

Alex6 my H didn't have any regressions as far as I can tell.
Lo2 is now 7 months and had one at 4 months which seemed to last 2months, day time and night sleep totally messed up. He seems to be doing better now so hoping we have no more.
You will have sleep disruption due to holiday, being away from home/travel/time difference. So guess it doesn't matter if he regresses or not.

Pikz oh a big boy bed. H has a proper duvet today. Tomorrow I will get a pillow ready.
He slept in single beds when staying with family last week so I guess he will be ok. BUT I think he didnt get out of bed because it was unfamiliar. And I'm worried in his own room he will just pull everything out of all draws. Any tips?

We had a much better bedtime tonight. I've been doing extremely gradual retreat with J because of his hatred of the cot. But tonight after the second time he went in he was playing and singing and generally happy! So I sat with him and commented e.g. oh what a lovely song, time to lie down and go to sleep, where's your bunny etc. etc. just trying to make bedtime and the transition to sleep more pleasant for him. I really think we've turned a corner and while it may be a long road to get him back to self-settling, at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel. DH is back tomorrow so we'll see how that goes, hopefully he won't mess it up with more nighttime shouting. Angry

Good mining folks.

A lil Hmm meant to be going to buggy fit today with a friend. She texted last night. She is cramping with AF. Wants to meet at my house instead. At first I read the txt and thought "I'll go alone to buggy fit. But she makes no comment about me going with out her.
I want to see her. But want to go buggy fit. Fh says see her today and go buggy fit next week. But I was excited about it so am a lil disappointed.
Grumble over.

Vq how you feeling Hun?

That's annoying GT. When you e got yourself psyched up for something. How long/ what time is the BF? Could you meet her after?

Report
GTbaby · 16/05/2014 08:04

Timings are hard. Bf at 10.45. She is coming at 10.30. By time I'd come bk from buggy fit its the kids nap time. Including hers. And having guests after nap time is a bit hectic with dinner for both the boys. Although today I'm going to see a friend after their nap time and fh is having the boys.

I would have just said , " perhaps you can come over this afternoon I need to go to budgy fit"

I think.

Actually, I just buttered some toast and thought about it and thought, disclaimer I may be being insensitive, if she was cramping with AF last night it doesn't necessarily mean she will be today and some excercise would prob do her good. I am cross because you really need some support with this at the mo as it has been getting you down and I think is a lame excuse. Sorry. But that is what I think.

After actually working quite hard at working at home this week I don't want to let my chums at work down, one in particular, I want to help her out I am really excited about my day off we have toddlers this morning, lunch out then off to the big smoke to get a couple of bits in h & m and hit the mahoosive Tesco. ( there are other supermarkets In The big smoke).

Steak and chips for tea. And a bottle of wine. Perfect.

  • mop
  • hoover
  • dust
  • find cleaner

DH has been doing such crazy hours this week he hasn't seen LO since Sunday or DD1 since Tuesday. TFIF.

wanda enjoy your day off, you deserve it.

pr how is lo this morning?

gt that's annoying. I can understand how you feel. when you are look forward to exercising it's a shame to have to rearrange.

I have a date night with DH tonight. Am very excited. We are going to dinner (I quite fancy tapas after watching masterchef last night) and then to see Miss Saigon. My in laws are very kindly picking up DD1 from nursery and having both girls for a sleep over so I'll be able to get ready in peace and have a lay in.

Hope you all have a good day.

GT I'd be pissed. If you're on a fitness drive together bailing out is how both people go off course. I agree with Wanda.

Now do I wake the bear? - three 9am mornings in a row! Poor DH's flight was delayed then his battery was flat so he didn't get in until late. He could really have done with a good night but J wanted to be up and playing with him from 5 til 6.30. Every time he fell asleep (very quickly) he'd wake on transfer. And because he'd not seen DH all day he didn't want me! Blush Shame DH didn't benefit from this sleep in Sad

Wanda dauphinoise potatoes? Roasted sweet potato chips? Baked potato and sour cream?

Eliza lovely! Enjoy! You deserve it.

PR boo to work life imbalance. Is this just first few weeks craziness or a sign of things to come with his new job?

Wanda the more I'm thinking about it the more it's annoying me.
Original plan was to meet yesterday. I asked her if she wanted to come to buggy fit. She said yes instead on yesterday.
I thought I might be unreasonable about cramps things as I dont get them bad and exercise helps

Argh h and I are fighting for the phone

Am hoping it is just the first few months it will be like this. DH estimates 3-6 months to get through the backlog.

Steak normally comes with chips here too wanda but you could do dauphinoise potatoes or I found a good recipe for mashed spuds à la grand-mère recently which DH says is even better than his mum's mash (ha). Every French person I have told that I don't like mash has answered, without fail, "you haven't tried my mum's mash" convinced that I would love it. Never have as I hate purée. But I put myself on a mission to beat my MIL and finally succeeded this week. :)

Other than that I'd go for green beans parboiled or lightly steamed then fried up in butter, lardons, chopped shallots and garlic. And a nice simple green salad with a shallot vinegar dressing using a mix of walnut oil and olive oil. Sprinkle chopped walnuts over it for a nice effect, and/or add some fried lardons. Red wine, good bread, cheese and that would be your French steak meal. Voilà.

I had a half hour snooze in the garden whilst DD1 was at nursery and E napped Blush was lush. I'm now child free and about to freshen up ready to meet DH. Think I'll have a ice cold mocktail along the southbank.

gt hope you had a nice afternoon in the end.
