They're used to it here though Wanda, DS1 and DS2 have already been begging for the paddling pool. We have a fire hydrant sprinkler they love as well.

Right I'm off to bed as J has a very poor track record and there's no DH here to shout at him back me up.

Ooh. Did it work? I certainly had none as LO woke at 1.30 for no reason other than to have a break from sleep for a few minutes.

fruitpastilles · 15/05/2014 06:12

Didn't work here pr S woke 7 times last night and up for the day at 5:25.
We both have dentist appointments today, I'm dreading it.

ChasingDaisy · 15/05/2014 06:31

O had a bad night too. He's so full of snot and teething that he's really struggling. Poor kid.

ValiumQueen · 15/05/2014 06:44

It certainly reached north of the border PR Smile Many thanks Thanks J gave me a lay in until 5 Grin

flouncymcflouncerson · 15/05/2014 07:03

My J was a bit of a pest and morning was 5.45am. Too early for my liking. So we are on the couch with Disney junior on bad mummy

BigPigLittlePig · 15/05/2014 07:20

Was ok here. F just seems to need a lot less sleep all of a sudden. Last night for eg. she didn't go to bed til 8.30 having always been a 7pm kinda girl, and has woken ready to go at 7am. If she goes to bed earlier she just wakes at 5. Daytime naps have also gone from 2hrs to 1 if we're lucky Confused

Wandathewindfairy · 15/05/2014 07:55

How was your night pikz? Hope you got more that 2 hours 2 minutes sleep.

Glad you got a lie in vq

I don't know what has got into O he won't go down the stairs on his bum or his tummy he wants to walk. He doesn't want to walk one step at a time he wants to do it like a grown up. He was just sat on DS1s back, while he was lying watching CBeebies, pulling his hair, and when I walked over to him he pretended he was giving him a bug hug. Hmm I thinks we have trouble.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/05/2014 07:56

LO normally has a nap of an hour during the day and sleeps from8-7. This morning she had a temp of 37.3 I am crossing fingers it is post jab reaction it's been 11 days since the jabs and I think that's ro be expected iirc after mmr.

MsJupiter · 15/05/2014 08:20

Hello new thread. Hope some good/passable nights were had. We had another nightmare bedtime after an early nap and afternoon racing round the park. What more can we do?

Wanda L is the same with the stairs. He learnt to go down backwards on his tummy but is now refusing. He is so stubborn and independent I feel redundant at times (and also slightly concerned at what tumble he will take next) Confused

YellowWellies · 15/05/2014 09:06

A good night. And some spots. Faint though? is that how they start?

Elizadoesdolittle · 15/05/2014 09:16

Despite not being a very confident walker yet, E too only likes to go up stairs the grown up way. Her legs are too small though so she has no choice but to let me hold her hand which is something I suppose.

E too woke randomly off and on between 4-6am. Not sure why. She did at least go back to sleep till 8:30.

Another weigh in for E this morning. She pretty much has zero milk now so hopefully the fatty food is doing the trick.

pr would you mind posting or pming me your recipe for mac cheese please. it went down a treat but I've misplaced the recipe. I could try and do it from memory but would probably get it wrong.

PurplePidjin · 15/05/2014 09:17

r did ok. i have a migraine and puked at 5. mum's taken him for the day and i'm back in bed nibbling toast and sipping squash!

GTbaby · 15/05/2014 09:35

Pr can you on it to me too. Every time I think to make it I have to scroll thro masses of threads.

As tooth has popped thro.

H also tries to walk up stairs like a grown up. Looks funny. He is currently talking on the phone while eating his Cheerios. Jibber jabber jibber jabber HA HA jibber jibber. Hilarious watching him.

YellowWellies · 15/05/2014 09:55

Me too PR!

Wandathewindfairy · 15/05/2014 12:11

Me three.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/05/2014 12:16

Here's a c&p from the original post:

Ok, I don't have measurements so just wing it. My ultimate mac 'n' cheese.

  1. Cook your pasta, and put into a suitable sized greased oven dish
  2. Fry, or grill if you have to, several rashers of bacon. I normally do 6 as they come in packets of 8, so the other 2 go to the dog as a treat. Put to one side.
  3. To make the cheese sauce. In a saucepan cook a chopped onion and a clove or two of crushed garlic in butter. Add creme fraiche and grated cheese (I do a mix of compté and emmenthal) stirring all the while until you have enough and it's sauce like. Just watch the creme fraiche / cheese ratio - the sauce needs to stay creamy. Gentle heat all this time. Add a teaspoon of French grainy mustard and season to taste.
  4. Mix the sauce into the pasta.
  5. Lay the bacon rashers over the lot
  6. Cover with breadcrumbs
  7. Bake at 175 until it looks ready

Glad you enjoyed it :)

PetiteRaleuse · 15/05/2014 12:18
