Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Morning. So far today after nursery drop off I have been to the supermarket, picked up and dropped off some dry cleaning, been to the pet store, the bookshop and the post office. I came back hoping to have time to sort out my laundry but I have a surprice freelance project to be handed in this evening so am back to describing clothes in mind numbing detail.

YellowWellies · 02/06/2014 11:02

Morning all! Whilst listening to music and having a wee dance whilst we got ready for nursery this morning. James' song 'Star' came onto the radio, Jonas stopped mid boogie, listened to the chorus and ran and grabbed my hand pointing at the radio excitedly hooting "twinkle, twinkle Mumma!". I think he's going to be a muso, pondering the lyrics like my Dad! It proper made me smile! As does his dancing. But he doesn't dance to kids music? Just decent adult music. I don't think I'm going to introduce him to kids music if I can get away without having to!!!

BP good luck for the night shifts. Jonas does a hamster impression with any food he particularly loves - licorice, animal biscuits and local strawbs - they must have been good strawbs F was scoffing!

Today is DH and I's 3 year wedding anniversary. Time flies!

BigPigLittlePig · 02/06/2014 11:08

Happy anniversary mr and mrs wellies!

It's true F doesn't scoff her weetabix or broccoli in quite the same way Grin

YellowWellies · 02/06/2014 11:18

J scoffs a lot of his favourite foods like that. Especially after piggy preggers Mummy ate his ice lolly that she was meant to be holding for him Blush err it was melting what can I say!?

Lily311 · 02/06/2014 11:58

2 more day and we are back in the uk, staying for 12 days. I am looking forward to it, kind of hoping that it will help O to get over her tantrums. We have a brand new tooth which explains yesterday.

fruitpastilles · 02/06/2014 11:59

bp S does that, but only with blueberries for some reason.
Happy anniversary yw

So much for cracking on with the housework, all I've done so far is the bathroom and 2 loads of washing Confused need to get moving before S wakes up.

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/06/2014 13:30

I've made the mistake of sitting down. I find it so hard to get up once I have. still the house is peaceful for the first time in 12 days so I'm going to enjoy it!

persepolis123 · 02/06/2014 13:33

Happy anniversary yw. Are you going out for a nice meal or anything?

bp C does this with strawberries too. He absolutely loves his fruit and would eat it all day long if I let him. I have to draw a line though or it will give him the squits.

lily where are you staying in the UK? With friends?

The nausea has well and truly started. Trying my best to hide it at work.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2014 14:03

Happy anniversary yw :)

You know that scene in the devil wears prada where Meryl withers the very annoying lead with her speech about a blue belt? I'm trying to play that in my mind every time I almpst email the translating agency to tell them to take me off fashion projects. It is soooooo dull.

But hey, money in the bank until I can start more interesting projects.

I'm translating product descriptions for a high street chain and disliking every item on the list. Which is weird as I wear their cheap tat all the time.

ChasingDaisy · 02/06/2014 14:35

BP, O does that with blueberries and those Organix animal biscuits which I've had to stop buying as he was pointing at the cupboard screeching 'beeeskiiits' at ever meal time...

I am also contemplating the move to duvet. Purely because he has nearly grown out of his grobags and I don't want to fork out for new ones.

Wandathewindfairy · 02/06/2014 14:59

Happy anniversary yw

pr you are probably going to get the fish factory effect.

O just puts millions of everything in his mouth a bit like a hamster.

StuntNun · 02/06/2014 15:04

Looks like R is going to be the first one toilet trained at this rate Pidj!

My house is always tidier when DH is away but I think it comes down to responsibility. If you're the only adult in the house then you just get on with unloading the dishwasher or clearing the table but when there's two adults in the house there's always the hope that the other person will do it. That's what leads DH and I into games of bin Jenga. Wink

J's mattress arrived today so operation big boy bed starts this weekend. I'm dreading it as DS1 and DS2 were much older, and good sleepers when they went into beds. But J hates his cot so much that I'm hoping it will benefit him psychologically. His sleep has been up the left again the last two nights and we're sure of his food so either he has another intolerance we don't know about or stopping the Omeprazole has screwed things up. He's seeing the paed next week so hopefully they'll be able to do some ackshul tests and give us some definite information.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2014 15:21

What's the fish factory effect?

YellowWellies · 02/06/2014 15:25

Sounds like its stopping the omeprazole - we always have a shit night when forgetting a dose or trying to cut down Stunt btw who advised you to stop (did you do it cold turkey?) - we've been advised to reduce but not to stop cold as you get an awful acid backwash by stopping instantly? I reckon J can get good associations with his bed if you can just stop DH from shouting at him at night. Easier said than done in the wee small hours though. But it seems like he is undoing all of your good work at creating good sleep routines and sleep hygiene by scaring the wee chap. Wishing you sooooooo much luck with operation big boy bed.

YellowWellies · 02/06/2014 15:26

I think it's called that because folk that work in fish factories rarely eat fish? They get put off! PR you'll end up being a naturist at this rate Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2014 16:07

Oh no. Poor France! Don't want to inflict my flappy dangly boobs and wibbling tum on everyone. They've just given me two more sets to do for tomorrow evening.

Wandathewindfairy · 02/06/2014 16:09

That is the basic idea. I know someone who worked in a crumpet factory once. They had a crumpet phobia. My DH, SIL and pass I believe have been subject to fish factory effect.

StuntNun · 02/06/2014 16:15

YW I was told to stop it cold turkey as he was on it for less than a month. His eczema has flared and he's been farting and having diarrhoea plus disturbed sleep at night which all sounds like a food reaction to me but I swear he hasn't had any egg/dairy/soya. DH gave him seeded bread but I don't know whether seeds are likely culprits for food intolerances.

OP posts:
BigPigLittlePig · 02/06/2014 16:26

I would want to persevere, Stunt. Now F doesn't have milk, egg or soya, but still cannot get by without the drugs. Whether that is due to low level intolerance of something else or just, I dunno, her, I don't know. But she is the happiest she has ever been and reliably sleeping 12 hours in her cot at night. Off the meds? Not a chance, not even a gold plated, feather lined, pimped out cot would tempt her to sleep alone. Good luck wih whatever you try anyway.

YellowWellies · 02/06/2014 16:39

BP us too! I'm in the don't rock the boat camp. He still has issues with reflux whenever he's ill or teething without the drugs. I wish that weren't the case but meh.

ValiumQueen · 02/06/2014 19:08

Same here with the Omeprazole. Is he just on Ranitadine now Stunt?

ValiumQueen · 02/06/2014 19:09

And thank you PR for that delightful image that is now etched on my brain Grin

Pikz · 02/06/2014 19:24

VQ we know you would do PR Wink

StuntNun · 02/06/2014 19:29

He wasn't on anything VQ, I have restarted the Omeprazole today.
