New skunk is eznho or ezzy as we calling him means walks alone or solitary apparently will try get some pics of his albino self to share.

It's like the bloody algarve in Bristol today lovely weather bet weekend will be crappy.

mopsytop · 21/05/2014 13:13

Now they've offered one grand more than us. AGH. This is NOT fun AT ALL

fixyourgardengate · 21/05/2014 14:31

Wine & Cake mopsy

and a haddock for the other buyers.

mopsytop · 21/05/2014 14:44

Good thing I can't drink the Wine or I think I'd already have hit the bottle... !

Chipandspuds · 21/05/2014 18:40

Sympathies Mopsy house buying/selling is right up there as one of the most stressful life events!

I had my scan today and all is well with the baby :) DH is desperately trying to get a photo of DS holding the scan photo to 'announce' the pregnancy...I'm not getting involved! DS just wants to watch Peppa Pig!

mopsytop · 21/05/2014 19:17

Yay chip!

mopsytop · 21/05/2014 20:55

My scan is today week. V anxious. Really want everything to be ok.

Chipandspuds · 22/05/2014 02:35

Not too much longer Mopsy! No reason why things shouldn't be fine, but it is reassuring to have the scan and see the baby's heartbeat :-)

Aethelfleda · 22/05/2014 08:25

Hang in there mopsy!...sure it will all be fine...
(How did our grandmothers do it with not even a single scan to check, nine months of just waiting and hoping...)

Figster · 22/05/2014 09:30

I left DS pushchair out last night in torrential rain had a swimming pool in the basket by time I took it in at 4am. It's soddin!!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 22/05/2014 16:09

Oh no figster, do the covers come off?

Mopsy hold on, not long now! Exciting!

Anyone heard from Oi? Is she off on jollies?

I'm finished work now, ready for holiday next week. Hair and nails being done tonight. Done a bit of shopping today, and voted. All very quiet here!

Happy Friday everyone! We are going to see Northern Ballet doing the three little pigs at the theatre this morning. It's only 40mins long so I'm hoping DS will manage to sit nicely for the duration!

Pleased to hear the good scan news chip. Not long to wait now mopsy, hang in there

Aethelfleda · 23/05/2014 16:01

How many of your DC are dropping thei naps (or trying to?)
Cutrently have a whacked out DS who InSISTED that he was Not Nap, .....so he conked out the moment we did the afterschool run. Sigh, he's still very cute when sleeping

NorthernChinchilla · 23/05/2014 17:00

DS has occasionally dropped his afternoon nap aethel, though we generally try to enforce it at the weekend for some peace...

Loving the chook-stalking Kit, we're all about snails, bum-bum bees and pigeons here. Didn't realise you had the four cats as well, are they 'collected' or Mother and some kittens?

Lovely news chip, and glad you've only got a week to wait mopsy. So sorry about the house, it is sooooo stressful- are you going to think about a bidding war with the other buyers? Though given that there's been no interest and now it's an offer £1k higher, sounds a bit like an EA tactic Hmm

Do put up a pic soon figster, can't wait to see him!!

Having fun Up North at the moment, just got a new phone, got something approaching what I need footwear-wise from Next (hallelujah, etc), had hair and eyebrows done, and am off to the pub with Mum tonight. All's good!

Figster · 23/05/2014 18:57

DS hasn't napped for a year at least he doesn't seem to need it though. Will sleep in car and sometimes we get lucky and can get him in house for sleep without waking him but that's very lucky!!

I spanked him today he'd had the devil in him all morning screaming and crying about every little thing we then went swimming as per usual on Fridays he wanted to go in big pool I picked him up to the little pool he hit me in face, he then refuses to get in for first 5 mins crying and lying on floor when he finally got in he loved it as usual, at end he refused to get out had to drag him them he made a dash to get back in in end I had to pick him off floor while the 10 mothers from next class observed, then he refused a shower which he normally loves instead insisting on closing the door of a toilet cubicle and trying to lock himself in in end tried to pick him up to take him out and he hit me in the face again which was the end for me I smacked him on the bottom not hard but boy was he shocked..........for a whole 30 seconds. I'm trying not to hit but today it really was last resort time. He's not been much better since tbh.

Going out for drinks with friends tonight, dinner with friends tomorrow night and X men Sunday night live in grandparents are ace!! Mum here until Tuesday rain has limited roaming today but aquarium tomorrow.

Faffin · 23/05/2014 22:47

Well the three little pigs was really good, and as DS decided he wanted to sit on my lap instead of his seat he actually sat much better through it than DD who was a little fidget bum!

DS dropped his nap last august, much younger than DD did it so I really wasn't ready for it, but he always needed less daytime sleep than she did. He was still napping at nursery though, just because everyone else did, but I had to ask them to stop because he just wouldn't settle at bedtime on those two evenings.

DH has come home this evening and told me that his work have asked him to cancel our holiday in two weeks time. They've said they will pay for a replacement, but it's already looking difficult to find a week which will fit around other work he's got on. I am sympathetic, knowing what's kicked off for him at work, and trying to be supportive, but he doesn't seem to understand why I'm a tad pissed off about it all. And he doesn't think the kids will be that upset. I've told him he can be the one to break the news to them

mopsytop · 24/05/2014 13:34

That is a bummer faffin. I'd be raging!

For some reason, I can't connect to mumsnet on my phone, the app just won't let me in although I have the right password. GAH.

Good news, we accepted an offer and had our offer accepted. Now have to have survey done etc. so not counting my chickens, but first hurdle over!

Only 5 days until scan!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 24/05/2014 21:06

Today I am so hungover, for a while I thought I had noro virus.

Kill me.

Please.

Oh dear hop. The only words of comfort I can offer are that it will pass! I really wanted to die on Thursday, my migraine was so ghastly. But here I am bright as a button! Fingers crossed you feel better soon!

Northern here's the cat collective! Two ginger brothers who we took in as a favour to a friend, the other ginger and the kitten that moved in a month or so back. Thankfully the ninnins chickens are not ours, we just visit them :o

NorthernChinchilla · 26/05/2014 09:30

Ah, you sound like my PiLs kitten, they took in virtually every unwanted feline (and canine...) on the Fylde coast, on top of the four children (and emergency fostering!!). Your ginger looks a happy boy/girl- is it hard to tell the three apart? And wonder where the little kitten came from...?

Love 'ninnins' too, this is just the best time for the sweet little mispronunciations Grin

How're you today hop? What were you celebrating, sounds like it was epic whatever it was!

We're back, need to get the house sorted and do the shopping, get us into some kind of order for the working week, sigh... Had a lovely time up N though, took DS to the fairground I used to go to as a child- it was in the field next door to my primary school, so we'd see it being set up over the week and then go to it at Festival/Bank holiday weekend. So lovely and a bit of personal history to now take my baby to it Smile

Aethelfleda · 26/05/2014 20:20

Evening all!

We have survived a soggy daytrip and now are trying and failing to get the supposedly knackered DC to bed....joy....

How's everyone's day been?

mopsytop · 26/05/2014 21:26

We had a lovely day aethel. Nice tramp through the fields in the morning and Minimopsy got to jump in lots of puddles and talk to some horses. Then walked into town and had lunch at a food festival and Minimopsy had another good run about. Then home just as it started raining to watch 'Frozen' which she LOVED and watched from start to finish. Normally she'd never concentrate for that long. I think it was all the songs and she loved the funny snowman. Then we played for a while before bed. Then Mr. Mopsy and I had a lovely supper. All in all a fab bank holiday Monday! Hope you all had nice days too.

Scan on Wed morning... Just want it to be over and everything to be ok...

Figster · 27/05/2014 12:25

Hello All

Fab weekend had here live in babysitter has meant that Friday night was out for drinks with friends, Sat night out for dinner with neighbours, Sunday night Cinema to see the new Xmen was alright not brilliant though like a bit of Michael fassbender. Yesterday my mum took ds swimming, our friends came round with their 12wo so my mum could meet her, went to the aquarium, ds wobbled round the waterfront chasing his nemo balloon then he fell asleep at the table when we had dinner in the biggest restaurant in UK he obviously wasnt very impressed. Mum gone home today which is prob just as well as think DH and I would be divorced if she stayed much longer he hates having other people in the house, moving things, not washing his cups properly, cooking for him (heaven forbid) been quite fraught as i think he has been very rude and ungrateful for what she has done for us, the money she has saved us on childcare etc Ds will miss her but we off to Scotland in a couple weeks so not too long this time.

We having 1 step forward 2 steps back with skunk in terms of toilet training and he still not coming out except at night DH regretting having him already I think we need to be more patient. Finally have photos of skunk and am on laptop but got new Iphone 5s on weekend and dont have compatible charger at work........to be continued.

Bad thing of the last week is that I think we have eaten out or had stuff in 6 out of 8 days I feel massive, like I seriously dont want to eat again. Am on Slim fast today (and possibly for rest of my life) and have downloaded couch to 5k my teacher friend and I going to do it once her half term blow out is complete.

Good luck tomorrow Mopsy am sure it is all fine.
