DS actually slept through last night, though I think I was so tired I didn't sleep properly, went in and out. He's gone to bed on the early side with no TV, see if that repeats the magic fat chance.

My baby half-sister, who was born the week I started my A-levels, is getting her GCSE results this week faffin, how funny! But yes, where does the time go?

I was just thinking about your skunky last night figgy, sorry he's not doing too well Sad Is there any training you can do for skunks, or is it a bit of a lost cause? And do you have a pic you can share, I'd forgotten about that!

Sorry you're suffering again mopsy, one does really forget the glamour and comfort of pregnancy when you're not going through it. Can you take anything for the PGP, or is it just rest (ha!)?

NorthernChinchilla · 19/08/2014 20:56

My Dad got lucky chip, moved to one of the tiny villages that's just on the edge about 20-odd years ago, before house prices went stupid. I love Home and Colonial, got a great coat from there, and the shops are good. But yeah, think we could just about afford to share a bedsit with you!

OiMissus · 19/08/2014 23:10

Agh ageing.
My nephew also turned 15 last month. But the really upsetting thing, the thing that is absolutely the must upsetting of all...:
Age spots
The backs if my hands are starting to get those large freckle- like age spots.
Vile, vile, vile, vile signs of old age.
If anyone has any real cures that will stop them dead , or make em go away, PLEASE share!!

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 19/08/2014 23:26

My youngest sister will be 20 next year(!) still not over my mum being a 50yr old now! Can't work it out cos I swear I'm still 18.

Oi, my nan swears by astral overnight & sun cream everyday on her hands, she's 84 & has only just started getting liver spots in the last 10years or so (I remember when I asked about them when they first appeared when I was a teen!), vitamin A cream?

mopsy, I'll join you in the OAP shuffle, out walked by a 2 yr old today ffs.
I would love dc4 but physically there's not a chance in hell I want to go through this again. Hope you find a comfortable walking pace!

baby-having vibes to you seven, hope she makes an appearance soon!

mopsytop · 20/08/2014 07:44

If it makes you feel better DrFunkes, my parents are I'm their seventies!

TheOnlySeven · 20/08/2014 12:49

I'm 36 weeks pregnant Shock

DrFunkes having 2 under 3 certainly doesn't help does it? I've been lucky and not really suffered in any of my other pregnancies, this one has really taken it out of me though. DH has half-mentioned DC5 and been met with "not a chance in hell I'm doing this again".

In sleeping news DD2 has slept through for the last 3 nights, first time in 15 months I've had a decent nights sleep, shame it's taken so long and the next one is imminent.

Figster · 20/08/2014 13:09

Im guessing you have never made it to 36 weeks before Seven? dont worry will be over soon!!

Oi i have said to my friends before look at my hands they definitely are ageing I have no beauty regime to speak of and just moisturise going to have to get the big guns out and start doing some anti ageing shit. humph!!

Ds finally got his postman pat helicopter last night he has been on about 1 for weeks, he has a picture of one from the argos book he takes to bed with him and constantly asks for one, we gave in yesterday because it was all getting a bit sad to watch. It'll be forgotten about by the weekend i expect like his octonauts, JCBs, kitchen, tool bench, jigsaws etc etc

northern skunky is lovely in all other ways he is not aggressive, he comes out round the house every night he doesnt know how to play so trying to teach him give him some variety. He uses the tray intermittently sometimes we get a poo on the floor overnight but can cope with that it is the weeing in his bed and lying in it driving me mad. we got him a new bed yesterday as he has to date been in plastic covered cat bed with blankets we swap out as cant trust him with anyhing else figured we would get him a little hutch where we could put blankets down on one side and a tray on the other as we think he has been trying to go in one corner but it wasnt big enough and this morning we came down to a clean towel and wee and poo in the tray SUCCESS. probably a fluke which will have cost us 40 but if he could keep it up then brill. It is a little wooden house and fits in front of our never used dishwasher so hopefully that is it sorted. finally on a laptop so have put on a pic. I am usually just on the mobile app so dont have the ability to do it apologies it is the wrong way round.

Oh God. PGP so painful today I just had a blub about it. So scared it's going to get even worse. How will I commute to work?

NorthernChinchilla · 20/08/2014 21:50

Yay albino skunky!

Off to bed early, as it'll be me on the middle of the night wake up...

TheOnlySeven · 21/08/2014 20:06

Really hope PGP doesn't get much worse for you mopsy

Where is everyone today?

Still no baby here . Even tried to tempt fate by going shopping an hour away in the opposite direction from the hospital but still don't even feel close.

fixyourgardengate · 21/08/2014 21:35

Cake for seven and mopsy

I'm just compiling the enormous "to do" list for the bank holiday weekend. Top priority being someone to take the kids off our hands for a few hours so we can paint the front door in peace....

NorthernChinchilla · 22/08/2014 07:16

I know that feeling fix, we have to take A/L when we want to decorate!

Figster · 23/08/2014 10:04

3 days into the new skunk bed arrangements and we are dry!!! Hallelujah Grinfingers crossed he keeps it up. Ds next once the kids are back to school and cm more time to support him.

Off to slimbridge so ds can splash around in wellybootland it's actually nice weather for now.

Looking forward to dr who tonight!!

Come on seven get on the pineapple think this one knows it's your last and hanging on in there!!

Aethelfleda · 23/08/2014 10:44

Well done skunky!

Back home. DH has comandeered the car to go to watch cricket all day in Brum. I, however, will be unpacking, washing, and cajoling three tired post-holiday children. Oh the glamour...

OiMissus · 23/08/2014 20:09

Sending healing pgp vibes to Mopsy, and channelling speed bumps to seven, whilst waving pom-poms for skunks.Grin
I had a vair vair glamourous Friday evening. It was one of those high falouting affairs, ...you know when you end up cleaning the fridge coz you've not had a better offer.
the Boi is now abed, and I'm wondering if I should do the fishtank. I hate cleaning the fishtank. It takes a couple of hours. The fish is on his way out. But has been for ages. It sounds bad, but I wish he'd get in with it so I clean the darned thing for the last time and put it in the loft. Or sell it. Bi orb bollox!

mopsytop · 23/08/2014 21:53

I hear you re fish tank Oi. No pets in this household. Ever. I refuse to clean up after them.

PGP better since Wednesday. Was just randomly really bad that day. Not fab but fine since then.

Moving out this week. Will be sad to leave this place. But time to go. Hoping we can move into new place in cpl of weeks.

Seven, any movement?

OiMissus · 23/08/2014 22:16

Exciting house move times !!
I should do well to remember that In the future. No to pets.
That's why people have cats. Lazy people have cats because there is no cleaning up. They sh1t in other people's gardens.
I will not succumb to cattery. Cattery killeth the wildlife. And knock stuff over and scratch stuff.
Cats are crap. Killer crap.
My neighbour jogged across today. (She of 3 Alsatians, and -previously - 2 or 3 cats.) we/I've been here 2 yrs. always friendly. Never invited to their house. They've been invited to 2 of my parties (and came) - 2 yrs ago.
Anyway, they're getting a replacement cat (?) and have invited us (me n Boi) to visit said cat in a few days.
Has nothing to do with cat. Has to do with DH leaving, wanting to find out more. (I actually think she means well. She's not a gossip. She's just finding a way to check we're ok. That's ok. It'll be nice to know my neighbours more.)
Her husband in the other hand is a gossip. Also, they are going to sell up soon to move to their house in Spain. He's probably panicking that I may need to sell this and do will drag his price down. - he tells me i got this house for "a song". So I bet Zoopla have dragged his price down already.
I am not selling.
I have pennies in the bank.
I just need a pa to sort out the work I need doing!!!

mopsytop · 23/08/2014 22:45

Cats = cat hair all over your house. Litter trays (awfulness). Smelly cat food. Cat whinging outside your door in the mornings. My now husband had a cat when I first moved in. He died age 18. Well he was v ill and eventually we had to have him put down, the poor thing. But I'm still finding cat hair in random corners. It never goes! not properly. So think long and hard before going down that road. They live a looooonngg time!

pluCaChange · 24/08/2014 11:47

Parrots live forever, too! Our lovely neighbour years ago married someone who inherited a parrot from his aunt. The parrot crapped on lovelt neighbour's furniture (she was v house proud) and survived her (LN), too! It was very sad, as she should have had many more years, and a chance to outlive a creature that hated her! Sad

Good luck with the moving, mopsy! And I hope the holiday is restful, and you get to lounge in some water to feel more comfortable, be it bath or a bigger body of water!

Good luck with the baby, seven! Sorry you've been so uncomfortable. Hope you manage to get some rest before the birth (and after, of course!)

How's your back,DrFunkes? If it's still getting at you when we come back, let's meet up and I'll bring the "BNIB" wheat bag, which is a lovely thing to have sitting on sore muscles! Smile

Hope your holiday was nice, aethel! Did you come back specially in time for you-know-Who, or did it just work out like that? Grin Don't tell me what happened, though! I'm downloading it now to watch upon our return!

Sending potty-training vibes for one and all, including your skunk, figgy (who looks quite sweet all cuddled up in that box!)

Sorry this is all a bit of a rush. DD and I areleaving today, and I'm panicking, as I keep finding more things which ought to go in the bag, along with 10 days' worth for us (no mains electric, just a generator, so no washing machine), and a wedding for me & DH (it includes a bloody cocktail party. seems a very choreographed [to death event. Hmm

DBro is leaving his rehab place on Monday, as the insurance ran out, and we are now keeping our fingers crossed for him in the Big . DM may go over later in the year, but we are conscious that she can't force him to do things like host her, it's important for him to develop his own willpower and new way of life. So nervewracking though...

Also, house is a disaster, with lots of floors discovered to be rotting, so loads of things have got to be taken out to be done over.

Sorry if I've missed anyone. I can't seem to get any time to think, so

pluCaChange · 24/08/2014 11:48

sorry, pressedpost too soon!

... and with little time to think, everything sort of happens outside, without happening in one's head.

x to all.

pluCaChange · 24/08/2014 11:55

Oooh, aethel, just downloading some more BBC stuff, and I found you!

Gah I've got a cold coming on been wondering why I've been so short tempered today Angry

mopsytop · 25/08/2014 17:25

Hope you're ojk figgy.

Any movement seven?

Rain rain rain Sad Sad Sad Packing coming on apace. Less than two days left here. I'll be sad to leave I must say. We have had so many great times here and also engagement, marriage, first child and bump.

TheOnlySeven · 25/08/2014 17:51

Think she's engaged today, constant pressure down below and back hurting. Having BH but still nothing regular :(
