Its scary because I cant breath, then I have asthma triggered by hayfever, air polltion and dust. So I cant breath to start with if I have an asthma attack o just dont see how I will cope or tell someone or get help!

oh well Hmm

Aethelfleda · 28/07/2014 13:46

Hmm... So you're planning to keep not breathing for the next few days then? Hmm

Glad you got an appointment but that's a long way away. Promise the thread that if you feel even a microcosm worse you will go straight to a walkin centre or A&E ? Seriously, you do not want to dick about with breathing problems. It's probably a virus but that can trigger really bad asthma sometimes. And if you're worse you need to be seen.

AnAirOfHope82 · 28/07/2014 14:23

Its like little cluster attacks not one big one. Little ones over four days on top of a chest virus.

If I get worse I will call 999 or go to a&e. My uncle died from asthma.

pluCaChange · 28/07/2014 15:47

So you're planning to keep not breathing for the next few days then?

Damned good question!

Chipandspuds · 28/07/2014 16:45

If it was me I'd plant myself in the doctors waiting room until they fitted me in or turn up at an out of hours doctors Air! Wednesday is a long way away and if you need medicine better to get it sooner rather than later!

I'm having a rest in the car as DS has fallen asleep on the way home from a play date. Ahh!

We had a lovely day out in London yesterday, DS was amazingly well behaved and walked up and down lots of steps on all the tube stations while DH carried the buggy! Slightly behind on housework but never mind!!

mopsytop · 28/07/2014 16:59

I'm with the others Air! Get thee to the walk in centre asap I'd say. Sorry you're feeling so terrible Sad

Figster · 28/07/2014 17:46

3rd week in 4 ds in bloody cm imposed quarantine she wouldn't have him as he has spots around a cut on his knee worried It was impetigo. DH had to take day off work as I was already in Reading when this went down I was scheduled to be in an all day meeting in Epsom. Dr couldn't rule it out so he is now on antibiotics and cream he has said he is fine to fly on Wednesday thank god as we are going to Scotland for my friend's wedding and I am working out of the local office on Thursday so Work have paid for my flight really didn't fancy having to repay that. Out of 19 potential cm days this month he has been 10 Been a sodding nightmare.

Figster · 28/07/2014 17:57

Things come in 3s don't they this got to be the end of it.........surely

AnAirOfHope82 · 28/07/2014 18:30

I went to walkin yeaserday and nurse give me a blue enhaler.
I made gp appointment.
I could go sit for hours at A&E just to be told lots of water, painkillers, sleep proped up, take enhalers and its a virus I just need to let it run its course. Lots of rest hehehehe yep with young kids and dh hehehe. Everytime.dd crys he brings her up to bed as she wants you, she is tired, she doesnt want me and then goes back to play on his phone or xbox gerr

AnAirOfHope82 · 28/07/2014 18:30

Fig I would look at getting a new cm.

AnAirOfHope82 · 28/07/2014 18:33

(i managed so sleep only 2.5 hours, so I will stop moaning now or nc to moaning Mertle)

NorthernChinchilla · 28/07/2014 18:39

That is really annoying figster, the unpredictability of it as well. Is the CM being a bit ott/unreasonable, or is it just really really bad luck? Hope it's not impetigo to put the tin lid on it!

Still think you'd be better off going to the out of hours doc air, these things can turn really nasty so very, very quickly.

Ditto Dr F and seven, we don't have holidays, we accept that if we have no. 2, we will have four very skint years and four fairly skint years during our 30s, and we have prioritised a nice house with a garden. There's not much room for treats.

Had a good weekend with our friends, and then had a hungover morning of crap parenting- all sat on the sofa eating crisps and watching the Despicable Mes, it's great just once in a while Wink

OiMissus · 28/07/2014 19:55

Hope you're feeling better soon Air.
I would post more but I'm falling asleep!
Z z z z z ...Sad

Figster · 28/07/2014 20:25

The first time sending home early and then for 48hrs because he'd had 3 poos in a day after a weekend of relatively unhealthy food was overreaction the throwing up and now this I suppose she is right enough.......doesn't make it easier though

AnAirOfHope82 · 29/07/2014 02:21

When children are this young they can be sick alot. They can catch everything going and a good cm will have policies in place and follow them for all children. I think its hard for both parents to work with out family support when paid childcare fails. I think the most secure form of childcare is a nanny as she will look after sick children in your home I think.

Children are just germ magnicts at this age!

(sickness update: I can breath but now im coughing my lungs up and its horrid, also I cant sleep due to coughing and reading the news story about gin on bbc news. I had forgot how horrible london in 1700's was Sad)

mopsytop · 29/07/2014 10:15

Bummer figgy. It is a wreck the head. Minimopsy missed at least one of every three weeks of nursery in her first year (although she was only in two days a week) but it was so frustrating. Will be even worse if the same happens with this one as we will both be working full time so it will be very difficult to manage (neither I nor Mr Mopsy have any family nearby). I really sympathise Sad Sad Sad

Feeling massively anxious/low today. Was awake worrying for ages before I went to sleep. We went and looked at house yesterday to measure up a bit (still not exchanged contracts) and I am still v happy with it but there's so much to do ... all the walls downstairs and on three floors of hall/landing are wallpaper painted over (argh!), new kitchen and kitchen floor needed, carpets in awful state etc etc. I know it can get done. I just feel daunted by it all as I'll be even more pregnant and in the thick of the first semester lecturing/long commute. I should be excited but I'm just feeling stressed. And stressed about when we can actually move as it is taking forever Sad Sorry to be a moan.

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 29/07/2014 10:24

Jebus, if DS got sent home for every little rash or more poo than normal, he'd never even be there! I'd look at a different CM or nursery figgy, such a nightmare to keep dealing with.

I'm here, and still hop will put a comment on FB about that!

Sorry you're feeling poorly Air

We had a weekend away, DS was ... challenging. The heat and my parents had no patience for him and I had no patience because I was too hot. But it's better now we're home. He started to have a melt down this morning and I managed to calmly avert it. Think he's still a bit tired though. We have my sister and her four youngest staying at the end of the week. Will be a mad house but DS will love it, I'm sure.

Hope everyone else is OK!

Bloody vendors have gone on hols for a MONTH and we were only just informed (after they'd left). GAAAAH! Wanted to exchange asap so we could a) be moved before going on hols in September and b) before my term starts. Feeling SO cross Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

pluCaChange · 29/07/2014 20:57

Who the hell goes on holiday for a month? Confused

Good luck with the rash, figgy

DC are wildly tired and thrir hunger is out of synch with meals, so are crazy. No hot weather here!

mopsytop · 29/07/2014 21:25

Go and find the wedding poem thread in Active convos... it is hilarious!

Aethelfleda · 29/07/2014 21:33

Evening All

Is it me or is the weather still Too Darn Hot? I thought things were meant to be settling down...

Chipandspuds · 30/07/2014 06:58

The weather here seems to have cooled down a bit Aethel? I've definitely slept better!

We're having a cake sale at work today for Macmillan Cancer so I need to try to exercise a bit of self control! I've made some fairy cakes last night - taste tested one and they've come out nicely phew!

Hope things settle down soon Figgy it's such a worry when you've got no family support nearby for times like this. We've been really lucky with DS as apart from a week of chicken pox last year he's not really been off nursery. I have only needed to take two days off this year when he had an ear infection. I'm hoping we will be lucky again with the baby! It can be really hard with some jobs to call in and say you can't come in that day.

I'm looking forward to going back down to my normal 3 days a week (doing 4 days a week at the moment) I'm behind on all the jobs at home and more importantly I'm missing DS! He's being extra well behaved and sweet at the moment, if he was full of tantrums I'm sure if be happy to be working more!

mopsytop · 30/07/2014 08:13

mmm cake. I'd find it hard to be self restrained Chip!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 30/07/2014 09:14

Period pain. Please send wine. And cake.
