morning everyone!!

junior has ben a good boy the last few days but both him and dd have a cold ggrrrr!! is there anything i can give ds for the cold?

he has grown out of his 0-3 months clothes and will have to go and buy 3-6 months today!! amazing how much money you need for a small baby!!

have managed to start ironing some clothes last night but still got a long way to go!! 10 weeks of no ironing is not good!! will have to start organising everything and get on top the housework!!

better go and get us all ready to go toddler group, i wonder if its going to rain today?

well hope everyone has a nice afternoon, chat soon!! (trying so hard not to type in text style!!)

prettymum - put down the iron and back away slowly, hands where I can see em etc... I stopped ironing years ago when
i was studying whilst working. DH irons his own workshirts, everything else we just live with the creases

FirstAtForty · 02/10/2006 18:49

nixnoo - I'd persist with the dream feeding at 12 for a while if you can, it might just need a bit of time. Emma goes from 12 through to about 6.30 most nights, though her daytime feed schedule is every 3-4 hours.

She used only to go through from 12 till about 4am, but the sleep length has gradually increased. (Of COURSE she'll be up all night now I've typed this )

re the ironing!! I'm pretty slack on it on the whole, but have developed this strange compulsion to iron babygros (nothing else, just the babygros). My DP thinks I'm mad.

hello all. well i had my 1st night out on saturday and had a very nice time - didn't get home until 2am. my dd was looked after by her grandparents who were very pleased to look after her -in fact she behaved extreemely well, she is normally very tired in the evening. During the day i have to feed her about every 3 hrs, in the evening it is more or less all the time with a half hour break for her bath and nappy change. does everyone else have a similar regime? she is 11 weeks today.

glad to hear it isn't just me who has a huge pile of ironing and housework. I feel like the summer has just disappeared, it also feels a bit like a dream and one morning i will wake up in my old life. I like things now though - dd is a positive enhancement!

another question for all of you- when can i take my dd for a swim? Do i need to wait for her booster injection?

I too really feel for those whose babies have reflux and i hope people have had an easier time today.

Do you think we will all forget all the sleep deprivation , tantrums etc quickly? At the moment i can't imagine having another one partly because i feel so lucky that everything turned out ok - dd and mum ok.

i took my driving test 7-8 times i actually lost count. it was awful.

anyone watching spooks tonight? i like the main bloke, can't remember his name.

i have telephone directories propping up her cot.

does anyone else have a greedy baby? mine will eat and eat until she actually over flows. i suffered a bit from engorgement after my night out and this was the cure. I had to get up in the middle of the night and express milk it was that painful. by the way tommy tippee disposable breast pads are excellent. thin, waterproof backing, my dress wasn't ruined!

sorry for grammar hard to write one handed!

I second Koshka's motion new thread please! I would do it but I'd only mess it up. Witty title ideas please ladies

Hi Koshka hope you and your boy are good tonight!

splat · 02/10/2006 21:23

Hi all

Thanks for advice Kayzed dream feed seemed to help last night, you were right it is weirdly one of the better ones! Hope your LO soon starts to feel better.

Nuria - my DS is on Gaviscon and now domperidone.....fingers crossed! Worth pushing GP for - did have to really persuade DP that it warranted medical intervention, as he is a bit anti drugs. He would rather suffer, but not in silence! Not puking as much or as restless during feeding - although did manage to puke on my chest today in babybjorn- wondered when that would happen! Dr Browns bottles also "seem" to help. My DS has approx 32 - 36 oz (6 x 5.5 - 6oz bottles) over course of day and night. He was 13lb 8 last Thurs, but is above average line. Other babies his age seem to have 7oz bottles tho??

koshkaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhhh · 02/10/2006 22:20

Hello.....
Got Jake a pumpkin suit from BHS...so cute...it has stripey tights with it and everything!

Oh yeah....new thread HERE!!!

KiwiKat · 09/10/2006 22:55

Sorry not to have posted for ages - we've been having dramas with colic, waking up a hundred times in the night, and what I THINK is a tooth coming through, except that it's further around than I thought it would be. But after reading all your posts, it sounds like everyone else has been going through exactly the same things.

He's such a gorgeous little boy, it breaks my heart when he cries the way he has this week. I nearly had a breakdown last Monday - had to go home for a sleep from yoga, and was nearly in tears. It's gotta get better, right???

usandbump · 10/10/2006 07:22

We are on a new thread, sorry can't do a link but if you look at Koshkas post the one before your there is a link there. See you over there xxx
