Ds1 is fine now thanks - they bounce back so quickly! It will take me a lot longer to recover from the sight of him lying unmoving at the bottom of the hill (thank goodness he always wears a helmet)

superblue - glad you ds has been "fixed". Very traumatic for you to go through. A friend's ds had the same, and he is now a lovely lump aged 6 months.

whitestar - good luck for preop. My dd had surgery (she was alot older though 17 months) so i know how you feel.

koshka - hope you get things sorted.

The coos are lovely aren't they. Leo chats to his big bro and sis, even when they are ignoring him!

mawwest - lovely pic

agalch- do all the baby looking after in our house so am entitled to be too knackered to do the deed. Although as far as parents and Outlaws are concerned Sophie is our last baby but DH and I would quite like one more. We will see though-then he needs the chop! Lol at him leering at your boobs. DH kissed mine goodbye this morning when he went to work-got to give him something to keep him going.

kayzed-I think Sophie must have been through a growth spurt at about 9 1/2 weeks. She is 11 weeks tomorrow and is hardly drinking anything. Am looking forward to getting her weighed next week when she has her 2nd lot of jabs as am worried she isn't having enough. She sucks her fingers but am convinced this is more of a comfort thing. Trouble is I don't know how many oz she is having. Often she is just using me as a dummy.

whitestar-will be thinking about you tomorrow.

FirstatForty-Ebay is extreme fun and I'm skint so it is a must. Got to pay for my overly expensive hair cut somehow.

Sophie cooing at me all the time when I speak to her-had forgotten what a joy it is. When DH carried her upstairs last night she was twisting her head off trying to still look at me-I just melted.

Anyway, night all.

Good luck tomorrow whitestar, will be thinking of you

Nixnoo - I live in the Docklands area of London - Not too sure how close exactly this is to you as I'm relatively new to the area (and country!) I know what you mean about looking enviously at the Mums groups, I had a fantastic one in Oz that I really miss. Luckily DS and now DD keep me busy enough. LOL at your cool kids comment. We could meet up, if you're interested although my parents arrive next week from Oz for a couple of weeks so it would need to be mid Oct onwards....sounds so far away.

Koshka - hope you're OK - thinking of you. Focus on your gorgeous DS and try and stay strong for him, it must be so hard.

I became an Auntie again today, my brother and SIL had a little girl in Oz. 4.4kg! and judging by the photos my Mum sent she's a spitting image of her big sis. Its times like this that its hard living on the other side of the world. Would love to be there

Amelia has her immunisations tom. hope all goes well.

Haven't even attempted to put some photos up yet - no doubt I'll have to involve DH - so need to pick the right time

FirstAtForty · 11/09/2006 22:28

Superblue ? hope DS enjoys his new swing and that he recovers very quickly from his ordeal, and that you and DH recover from yours soon too. Must have been really horrible.

Whitestar ? hope all goes well tomorrow.

Wallace ? glad DS has bounced back

Maewest ? Dom?s a real cutie!

I have a question ? how do your LO?s behave when you take them to the supermarket? I get quite worried about Emma ? she behaves TOO well! Just sits in her car seat balanced on the top of the trolley and gazes solemnly at me all the way round - it?s almost scary. She?s doesn?t seem happy OR upset, just? solemn. She never does this at home, I think they must spray something into the atmosphere there

JeanieG · 11/09/2006 23:33

Evening lovely ladies,

All of your photo's are fab. It was really good to see what you all look like.

We all must have the most gorgeous set of babies and children also.

Koshka- I truly hope you are feeling a bit better today. I was in a similar situation when I had my DS, and just to let you know, it does get much better and easier and you do come out the other side with a smile on your face. You have a gorgeous little boy there that needs you and loves you no matter what.

Superblue- How scary. Glad your LO is feeling better.

Blossom- I have gone heavier. I weighed myself today and I was 10st 3!!! So I decided I needed to do some serious exercises, and have been having skipping competitions with DS and DD1. I managed to do 60 skips in one go. I was soo impressed with myself.

Am off to bed now, am knackered after my monster skipping session.

Take Care

Good Luck Whitestar.

usandbump · 12/09/2006 08:21

here

fingers crossed this is a link

usandbump · 12/09/2006 08:48

yay it worked! I'm so impressed with myself

AF- Auntie Flo [period] But I don't think it could have been as it only lasted 2 days and it was ver light. Who knows?!

Donna3- Thanks for the tip about nuk bottles. Zack still only takes 2 oz at a time but he does with no fuss at all which is great

Wallace- hope your DS is ok Kids are such a worry I've already got loads more grey hairs and Zack is only 8 weeks old

I've got a swing for Zack and its a godsend,he goes in it after his first morning feed giving me time to bathe, dress and come on here if he drops off

Koshka- Have been thinking of you, I think you should confront the situation. The not knowing is just as damaging. {{{hugs}}}

Superblue it must have been a ver frightening week, glad your DS is picking up

Thinking of you Whitestar xxx

I too love the coos, I spend alot of time laid down next to Zack, I love our little chats

First@Forty- Zack hates his carseat so shopping used to be a nightmare but we have started taking a blanket and laying him in one of the trolley seats and he now loves it! I think its the lighting and he gets lots of strangers paying him attention

All the photos are fab, our children are gorgeous [and the mummies!]

Had a pregnant friend and her hubby over for a Chinese last night, it all seems a lifetime ago! Bless her she is tired, fed up, nervous and full of uncertainty, I don't envy her.

Well off to get Zack weighed, have a lovely day all

maewest · 12/09/2006 10:41

Am a bit ashamed to say that I gave Dom a dummy last night to counteract the grunting and farting and encourage him to sleep more deeply. He was pretty enthusiastic about it and fed at 7.00pm, 11.30pm, 4.00am and 7.30pm so managed to get some sleep (although I still wake up with every grunt and stir so still really broken sleep). Sometimes he seems to need to suck if he's windy, not always that hungry esp at night. DH is still in the spare room during the week and I do miss him (even the snoring) and I know he misses us too.

Good job Dom is such a handsome chap! Gummy smiles are getting me through at the moment

kbaby · 12/09/2006 11:26

hmm it says they are shared.
try again

typical after my wonderful night before, ds fed every 3 hrs last night and was awake from 1-3am, i asked dh to get up with him but he said id gone to bed at 10pm so id had more sleep!!!!!!
i weigh less than before i got preg i was 9 stone 3 and gained 2 stone while preg and im now 8 stone 12. i lost the 2 stone a week after ds was born.
maewest- i gave ds the dummy as well. dd still has hers and i said i wouldnt give 1 to ds but the constant rooting on everything 2 mins after a feed convinced me he needed to suckle.

kbaby · 12/09/2006 11:30

sorry forgot to ask.
how do you get your los to sleep

if ds needs a nap between feeds the only way to get him to sleep is to hold him. ive tried swaddling, putting him down drowsy etc but he is wide awake. im worried encase im building problems.

IamBlossom · 12/09/2006 11:36

Maewest don't feel guilty about trying a dummy, there's plenty of time for much more guilt to come, I can assure you! Beleive me if Toby would take it he'd have one too. DS1 uses it for sleep and in the car and as far as I'm concerned it's been a godsend.

does this work?\link[http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/album_contact.html?c_album=3967760}

IamBlossom · 12/09/2006 11:38

how about this?

IamBlossom · 12/09/2006 11:40

Hurray! i did it all on my ownsome! That's me and Dh with DS1 at his christening last year, and Toby yesterday looking chubby in his carseat, and DS1 yesterday on his birthday trying out his noooooo JCB his grandparents bought him! Great this photo malarkey!

IamBlossom · 12/09/2006 11:44

KBaby I find I have to bounce Toby in his chair to get him to sleep during the day, or cuddle him or let him suckle. Different at night as he goes to sleep on his own in his crib, although having said that last night he wouldn't ( I think I woke him up too much changing his nappy) and I had to turn the light off and cuddle him to sleep. So we were up between 3 and half 4 yaaawn...

HumphreysCorner · 12/09/2006 12:02

You are all real people tee hee!

Scared to put a pic of me up as you are all so tall and slim-I am the complete opposite Still can't believe my mum forced toast down me once cos I was too thin!

More lovely babies-aw!

Have just cleared my greenhouse of all my tomato plants and cucumber and also my runner beans. It is sooo hot and muggy out there am going to have to have another bath.

Have a good day.

Kbaby- I can't get Zack to sleep during the day either, I have to take him out in the pram. Its going to be awful when the weather turns Cuddling him and rocking doesn't even work for me although he drops off easily on DP. At night I feed him in the dark and he either falls asleep during his feed or gets very drowsy and then I leave him in his cot. It has to be dark and v quiet though.

Bloss- I can't see your pics, what am I doing wrong ?!

Thanks KZ

HC- How do you do it?!! I just about manage to give the house a quick once over (pick up newspapers and load dishwasher) and get the dinner on and I feel blooming fantastic if I manage to hang out some washing!

Well the Family Drop-In was an experience this morning basically lots of glam mums who obviously dress up for the occasion! I didn't hang around just got Zack weighed and then legged it A couple of friendly sorts smiled and made polite conversation the rest just looked me up and down decided I wasn't very interesting and looked away again Never mind he weighed 10lb 9ozs by the way!

Coming over Koshka xxx
