CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2006 07:38

Right ladies - the race is on to see which of our DCs can self feed a sausage roll first!

Oh, and some of you don't seem to have aged since we got pregnant, so if you've got closer to your telegrams from the queen then please let me know!

They had them half price in boots awhile ago, which was well worthwhile. That doesn't help you much now!

God, I'd never let dh near a pub
But he did come home with 2 casts of Jay Kay's hands last night, so now I have very attractive nre front room ornamentation

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/08/2006 19:19

I got a hipseat after we talked about them before. Haven't quite got the hang of it yet though - think maybe my huge boobs sort of get in the way of a good position. Will persevere though.

Amiable - look forward to meeting you too. Hope we're not a disappointment in the flesh!

Jas - hope dp does get some work out of it (enough to buy you a hipseat ).

Hi Ladies,

Your meet up sounds good, you will have the keep the rest of us informed.

Had a bad day with DS today, not sure what was wrong exactly but he moaned and cried from 2.30pm until about 6pm. I only managed to get him down for 45 mins nap aswell which probably didnt help so think he ended up overtired. He is tugging his ear a lot too and dribble is back. Looks like a third tooth is about to emerge next to the other two at the bottom so he had calpol and dentinox. Still didnt get him to bed until 9pm though.

DS is in the paper today in the Top Tots competition, I'm a very proud mummy!!! Another one for his memory box with the one that is in there from his birth.

My SIL is expecting her second two weeks today by c-section. She had a normal birth last time but broke her coxyx so thinks it is going to be a doddle have a section. Apparantly all her friends (except me) reckon it's a lot easier than labour and that she wont be in a lot of pain after!! Unless I am a complete wimp I think she is in for a shock!! It is putting me off having another a bit as the thought of going though that again is scary but I so want another baby and not a big gap. Figured if I had two close together I could go back to work properly after the second is about 6 months and I would like another one is about hmmmm 9 months!! I am mad arent I?! Perhaps SIL storied of childbirth in a few weeks will put me off!!

Lewsmummy · 10/08/2006 21:56

3k - i was looking on a clomid thread yesterday (that's wot i had to get pg) and someone on it said they had a 6 month old LO an was 3 mth pg naturally with no help after taking clomid 1st time

3k · 10/08/2006 21:58

Sorry I just noticed lots of spelling mistakes in that. Told you I had had a bad day!!

3k · 10/08/2006 22:00

Excellent Lewsmummy, I am hoping I wont need any treatment this time which is another reason I want to start early. If in a few years there is still no baby number 2 then I can have treatment knowing I gave it the best chance.

I am worried my scar will split open and the baby will fall out though!!!!

Lewsmummy · 10/08/2006 22:04

I really don't think that would happen

Jasnem · 11/08/2006 07:16

Morning,

Boy slept from 8.30 to 5.30 last night I didn't of course. I woke up with freaky breasts, as I have one tiny marble in a sock style, and one Huge solid bowling ball style. I've stuffed him to relieve the pressure but am still fairly uneven looking.

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/08/2006 07:33

Better even them up by lunchtime Jas or we'll all point and laugh .

3k - my ds pulls his ear alot too, what's all that about?!

No news today really, hope you all enjoy your day

mustrunmore · 11/08/2006 08:33

Seeing you 'all' today
Dh not working the weekend
Going on holiday Monday
Lodger moving back in Wednesday

mustrunmore · 11/08/2006 08:34

Chloe.. ear pulling might be teething, unless he's only doing it when tired?

Frizbe · 11/08/2006 08:34

at your boobs Jas have been there! great news re the sleep for ds tho

Chloe, the ear pulling is a teething pain thing...

3k, another? this soon? I am going to tell you, you are mad ouch for your sil breaking her coxyx last time tho, how did that happen?

dd2 woke at 5.30am today again, grrrrr I'm so wanting her to get back into 6.30 wake ups, cause then dh gets up, followed by the rest of the house, and I'm sure I'd be soo much better for that extra hours sleep......ho hum.....
we're off to bounce on a friends trampoline this am, should keep the older two happy!

Have a great meet up girls

Lewsmummy · 11/08/2006 10:24

Wooo hooo dh is letting me get a Quinny Zapp.

And all i have to do is sell my rickity cheap cosatto dixie on ebay.

Hmmmm wot colour do i want?

Chloe55 · 11/08/2006 10:31

What's a quinny zapp? Some type of pushchair?

Wow, I never knew the ear pulling thing was a teething issue - he has been teething loads recently so it does make sense, thanks guys - you learn something new everyday, I thought it was a habit he had gotten into

Lewsmummy · 11/08/2006 11:30

Yes chloe its a pushchair.

this one

SoupDragon · 11/08/2006 12:27

I've often ummed and ahed about the Zapp but am put off because it doesn't recline.

Lewsmummy · 11/08/2006 12:41

I know but the dixie i have now don't recline ayway and he sleeps in it. Its only as a second buggy anyway for walking the dog etc.

Flamesparrow · 11/08/2006 15:37

I don't come on for a couple of days and you talked soooo much!

Can't reply to all, but a yay for the 6 months excl b/f, pmsl @ Jas's wonky norks, Chloe - DD used to pull her ears with teething, but for infections too... she would always have a temp with those though, MRM - my house is the pygmi infested tip

We have had very little jabs reaction this time - 3rd time the charm?!?!

Teeny tiny bit of a tooth sticking through at the top ... noticed as I was trying to give him calpol - he rocked himself on my friend's DD's lap and whacked his head on the coffee table I dunno if he cried more or if she did!!! Poor thing was devastated. I know that he can be very strong when he needs to be - DH nearly did it last night!

Frizbe · 11/08/2006 16:12

Flame re boys headwhack, dd2 bumped her's on the table today too, but not hard, she was just messing me about and threw herself sideways, bump, oopse never mind...
Talking of pushchairs, do anyones kids complain when they're in them, or is it just my beloved dd2, she'll only sit in one for about 5-10mins before whinging like a trouper I am horrible and do tend to ignore her, as I can't generally pick her out, as have dd1 to contend with too, and she can see out of it (its a duo) but I even tried her in a single today, and she complained the same?? its like she finds sitting uncomfy, but then that's just daft right!

Jasnem · 11/08/2006 18:26

Hello all, we had a lovely afternoon meet up. Thanks csws, mrm and amiable.mrm - I didn't get charged for the extra hour when we left...did you?
The dds are very tired.

I did tea this evening and left boy with them while I was dishing up. Turned round to both girls walking in to the kitchen. I got as far as "I hope you haven't left him on the sofa because he will" when he fell off. Luckily its a fairly soft carpet and no harm was done.

mustrunmore · 11/08/2006 18:35

Nope, didn't get charged! Made it home just before it started raining. But... we'd left some wee in the potty and ds1 wanted to empty it before doing a poo, didn't quite make it, poo everywhere. Was cleaning up and wringing clothes out, when he shouted from his bedroom that he'd done another one and couldn't get to the potty in time Yuck. Thank god it wasnt in clown town!!

Had a lovely time today, and what a luxury to have 2 little babysitters for him

Just for the record everyone... i didnt notice any oddities in Jas's chest region

Frizbe · 11/08/2006 19:56

lol MRM there you go Jas, you have a 2nd opinion!
at the poo tho, oopse n all that, don't think we've had it that bad here, now you've said that!!
Glad you all had a great time
Hotmama, where have you gone, are you going to organise us northerners?!

Frizbe · 11/08/2006 19:58

northfleet MRM or was it 3k, I can't be arsed to look down the thread a local meetup for you!
