CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2006 07:38

Right ladies - the race is on to see which of our DCs can self feed a sausage roll first!

Oh, and some of you don't seem to have aged since we got pregnant, so if you've got closer to your telegrams from the queen then please let me know!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
damewashalot · 30/08/2006 13:55

Here's a question for you, am I the only one who didn't know that you get a higher rate of child tax credit when you have a baby under 6mths? Hadn't bothered telling them about ds3 as I thought that there was a 1 child rate and a 2or more child rate and I was right. BUT we had our pack where you tell them about any changes so I phoned and said got ds3 now, yesterday paperwork came through and we getting new baby rate which is quite a bit more. They only back date for 3mths from when you tell them so have missed out on a bit, but none of the info they have sent me tells you about it so how was I meant to know? or am I the only one and a bit thick???

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 14:01

I think i knew for ds1, but forgot for ds2. And i vaguely remember being asnnoyed when it went down after the 6 months!

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 14:07

I don't know if I knew or not - just always update the the second anything changes anyway.

Buggy... not sure - will swipe my mum's new 3 wheeler cos mine is cr*p.

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 14:11

I wouldn't mind crap!!Anything with wheels would do. As long as i'm not carrying two kids round all day; it'd break my back!!
I'm thinking this might be a real possibilty now . But it'd prob have to be either tomorrow (eek!) or next Wednesday.

damewashalot · 30/08/2006 14:12

Didn't get around to it as already had 2kids so as far as I knew having a third wouldn't make any difference.

ellenrose · 30/08/2006 14:19

Happy Birthday Dame

Hope the CC works better tonight.

Have to go and check my Woollywraps now - Flame - have you ever overdone the lanolin?

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 14:31

Underdone this lot, but don't think you can overdo.

Chloe55 · 30/08/2006 14:56

Happy birthday Dame.

Ds slept until 8.20am!!!! I am in He only woke once very briefly at 4.30am after going to bed at 7pm! I had a lovely lie-in

I stopped smoking when I found out I was pg but I have toi admit I do have the odd one if I am on a night out (sorry CSWS).

Frizbe · 30/08/2006 17:04

hurrah chloe

Dame, fab prezzie, I want one too

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 17:12

arrgggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

dewmeadow · 30/08/2006 17:31

what a huge read!!

Happy Birthday Dame!! What a groovy present - I would probably get one and STILL never look at my photos. Mmmmm... Thorntons choccies!!

Cant remember what I have to say....

dewmeadow · 30/08/2006 17:35

Oh yes, 3K, what do you mean "follow on milk"?

Ive been using SMA white - do you mean the red tin (progress?)?

DS has first cold and woke at 6.00 (as well as his 2.00 feed) not able to breathe properly through his nose, so up early today. Also, up earlier with DD as she had burrowed down into her quilt in her sleep and was lost, nad needed to be rescued - thankfully not really awake. I always go to the toilet when I get up to them - glad Im not the only one - thought my kidneys were malfunctioning!

Chloe55 · 30/08/2006 17:57

Another one here who always goes to the toilet if I get up through the night

Oh, forgot to say - My pelvic floor is shot to bits. Went to a wedding on Friday night and they had a Kay-lee on (no idea about sp) but I mean that scottish dance thing. Anyway, was busy being thrown around the dancefloor, laughing hysterically on the way and I dribbled, and I don't mean from the mouth!!!!!! (sorry if tmi) but I was mortified - luckily I was wearing a pad because I was due on but it shocked me into realising just how childbirth can affect your body

dewmeadow · 30/08/2006 18:52

my community midwife told me that you need to do pelvic floor exercises for the rest ofyour life!

In Ireland its "ceili", and I think in Scotland it's "ceiladh" - whatever way you spell it, they're deadly crack

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/08/2006 18:53

Ceilidh (I think) Chloe.

Happy!

Back later to catch up properly.

THose are gorgeous csws!!

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 19:23

finally

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/08/2006 19:32

Ok, time to try and catch up on here before I bath DD then catch up with the clearing up!

Photo frame is cool dwa. I was looking at them in John Lewis this week and wondering whether to ask my parents for one for my b'day (I know it was a month ago but I didn't know what I wanted so they are 'owing' me a pressie). There are loads on Amazon for those that were interested. Just search on 'digital photo frame'.

at mrm going to Poole - I still haven't organised my trip down there.

Why do people keep mentioning getting up at 6ish as being an early morning?! That seems to be our norm, despite not going to bed til 8 or after.

I know nothing about tax credits, but don't think we're entitled so it doesn't really matter (that is the one where you get nothing if household earns over some fixed amount or other isn't it?)!

Where's Jas today then?

3K - DD seems to be a bit off her food at the moment too (possibly the cause of her wanting feeding lots in the night), which I'm putting down to teething. She's taken to throwing all finger food very purposefully straight onto the floor too!!

Went to St Albans this afternoon to get shoes from a startrite shop. Spoke to them on phone first and they said that a Clarks 2H is a Startrite 2G (WTF?!), and they did have some in in a G. Turns out he was thinking of the older childs size 2 and thought I wanted school shoes!!! They had some to fit nevertheless.

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 19:39

ooo... i could 've met you in St Albans; there's a bus that goes there, as long as i dont take the double buggy

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/08/2006 20:53

Is there a bus that goes to Harpenden too? I'm always up for a meet up there!

Just realised that my VAT return has to be submitted by tomorrow, so guess the rest of my evening will be spent searching for phone bills, as that's about the only VAT being incurred at the moment! How dull .

PhoenixGirl · 30/08/2006 21:00

OMG read this R u mad?

PhoenixGirl · 30/08/2006 21:02

I think i'm a bit mad trying for no. 2 now

dewmeadow · 30/08/2006 21:11

wooooooooooo PG!!

I want no 3 but not for a while, though we have resorted back to the dodgy, dangerous game of conception...

dewmeadow · 30/08/2006 21:34

I want a buggy for DS and need advice!! Have just been on ebay and I want a cheapie but not one that looks or is pure sh*te. WHat's the deal with these 99p prams? Cant remember the whole talk from before and too lazy to look it up - what do you like/recommend?

Jasnem · 30/08/2006 21:57

hello,all,

Glad I was missed,csws
My broadband connection died, and I've only just got it back.
I'm typing in the dark, though as I've run out of light bulbs so this will be a quickie.

Thell, cat me and I'll send you the wrap (or I can cat you if you want, as I've already paid).

Happy birthday Dewmeadow. It's my birthday next month and I'd love one of your lic frames, but don't thik I'l be getting one at thoses prices.

Back in daylight, will catch up properly then.
