CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2006 07:38

Right ladies - the race is on to see which of our DCs can self feed a sausage roll first!

Oh, and some of you don't seem to have aged since we got pregnant, so if you've got closer to your telegrams from the queen then please let me know!

Happy Birthday!!! Me being on late last night was a silly plan... very very tired today Still, letting DD run along the quay most of yesterday evening worked - she slept til gone 9am .

Poor DS cried and got brought downstairs at 8am, I put him in his swing "while I just closed my eyes", and I was gonna put him in fresh nappy, do breakfast etc in a couple of mins... woke with DD coming downstairs to find me . He promptly fell asleep in the swing whilst I went to find said nappy, so is still sat there!!!

Various bits to do in and out today, so will probably be on and off.

Frizbe · 30/08/2006 09:51

Flame so of you living by the sea

Forgot to say dd2 is sleeping great in the mornings bar yesterday, when I let dh kick me out of bed (I'd gotten her sleeping later whilst he was away!) he heard her, kicked me at 5.18 and I went trotting into her half asleep, it was only about 11am when it hit me what I'd done, so I lectured him when he got in, and this am, he woke and listened to her instead without waking me, and she settled again, hurrah! got up at 7.30

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 09:54

Frizbe, you are in exactly the same position as me. Hence we're going through the hell of cc.

csws... I do wee when ds2 gets me up most times, but sometimes its easier not too, as he'll wake ds1 up with the screaming if I leave the room. if I stay, its just a pitiful cry sometimes And if he wants feeding, there's no time, its an urgent milk emergency, then once he's fed, its back into trying to stop him screeching before he wakes the street up.

Frizbe · 30/08/2006 10:08

{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}} MRM, little un's eh! are you doing the go back every 10/15 mins thing?

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 11:05

yep. well, start off milling around the room, then doing the leave and go back (coming on here in the meantime!), then when he's approaching almost settled, just lying on the bed in the room, having a think! And he's now sleeping with his head craned round to see us, because i changed the position of the cot the other day!

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 11:08

flame.. was going to ask you? Is your town still an oap haven, or is it classed as officially trendy now? Hope you dont think I'm being cheeky! Just interested because I've never been! Might come for a day trip if I can get a direct train; there's no way I'm changing with both pests and the buggy and all the stuff!!

damewashalot · 30/08/2006 11:20

I am waiting for a parcel to come but I don't know what's in it and dh suggested that we all go out to eat tonight.
I'm still feeding to sleep will have to stop at some point but will get him settled in his own room first.

PhoenixGirl · 30/08/2006 12:00

Helooooooo

We've just had a nap on the sofa for an hour and now he's happily playing in his playpen 'talking' to his toys lol so i get time on here for a bit.

Happy Birthday Dame, hope there's something nice in the parcel

Hope the cc gets easier soon mrm.

Last night was dh last night so once he decides to get up today we'll be able to something together for the last few days of my week off.

DS makes me laugh, i'm just watching him and he's not really playing with his toys he goes more for the labels on them he plays with them for ages.

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 12:08

Oooh no - did you not hear?? We've gone cool! The Opera House bought all kinds of young clubbing things to us. Woohoo (can you hear the dull excitement in my voice?).

Lots of stuff for kids on daytrip too... oceanarium.

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 12:11

yuck. i can think of nothing less appealing than traipsing round looking a slimey sea things!!! Seriously, i'm going to look into trains, then i'll be picking your brains about buggy accessible places to see and eat etc etc. If i can work out how to fold my p&t for the train; i love it so much I've never put it down since i got it Its either that or Alton towers, which might be better as I can hire a buggy there, and it'll be free entry!

damewashalot · 30/08/2006 12:14

oooh parcel came, is exciting if you like me and like gadgets was grumbling that all of our photos are digital so don't look at them very much and he has got me a digital photo frame that you pop a memory card in and you can look at your pics can just have 1 or can cycle through lots, can have lots of cute pics of my boys in it.
Lunch now then I have to make cookies as ds2 wants to with the nigella lawson cookie cutters the boys got me. (I've got a few of her kitchen bits so they got them to match

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 12:17

How cool is that?!?! Link please!!!

MRM - come to Bournemouth, I can meet you at the station, you can borrow a buggy . you don't even have to play with me all day - just meet for coffee, borrow buggy, and give back at end of day

damewashalot · 30/08/2006 12:28

Not just me that likes gadgets then? I'm terrible, DH says look at this....whatever isn't it cool? and instead of saying you can't have one we can't afford it like a wife should I say cool I want one
My frame is very cool, it's even got a remote control! Can't do link as don't know where it came from.

damewashalot · 30/08/2006 12:32

Just spoke to DH and asked if we are going out as wasn't sure he said just going to sort that out now I know it will be somewhere that the kids like and it's not the same as a posh night out on our own but it's just as good in a different way IYSWIM whats the point in having kids if you don't want to do stuff with them?
I can't resist the chocs keep having one when boys aren't looking

PhoenixGirl · 30/08/2006 12:46

oh find out where i came from i want one.

PhoenixGirl · 30/08/2006 12:47

where it came from

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 13:09

My friend got one of those frames as a pressie from her dh, then found out it was £120. I think they're getting cheaper though.

flame... you mean you dont want to play with us all day?! csws will laugh though, as you've said the magic words... a chance to try someone else's buggy out!! I might look into the train later. I'd have to come on a Tues, Wed or thurs though, as ds1's nursery restarts next week. He's going 2 mornings, if i can get to him to stay with less tears. Luxury... 4 hours in the morning with only ds2 to entertain!!

PhoenixGirl · 30/08/2006 13:13

i've just found one on iwantoneofthose.com and it started at £259 up to £399 so think i've changed my mind about wanting one lol

damewashalot · 30/08/2006 13:16

Sure it wouldn't have been that much pg try froogling it he tends to dop that to get best price for stuff

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 13:24

@ price

I would happily spend all day with you - I tend to scare people when I offer to crash their daytrips though

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 13:31

Ah, I'm touched
But the important thing is... what buggy have you got?

PhoenixGirl · 30/08/2006 13:36

Ok i found cheaper ones but still £113.

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 13:37

ooo, I've just had a quick look and in theory I could get it for £16.90, direct train. I'm getting tempted! Could have ds2 in the papoose and ds1 walking/hipseat when tired to get as far as Waterloo for the train. Its a straight underground line down there. [brain ticks over]

PhoenixGirl · 30/08/2006 13:40

I've just got ds to eat all his dinner by giving him a spoonful of food followed by a spoonful of yogurt cos he loves yogurt but only ate half his dinner before getting whingy and not eating, the second he saw the yogurt coming his mouth was open for it so i did it that way. Ewwwwwwww but it all goes down same hole as dh would say.

mustrunmore · 30/08/2006 13:42

ds1 is nearly 3 and still loves eating both courses together! he's just had fishfingers and natural yoghurt for lunch!
