Right ladies - the race is on to see which of our DCs can self feed a sausage roll first!

Oh, and some of you don't seem to have aged since we got pregnant, so if you've got closer to your telegrams from the queen then please let me know!

dh is working nights so nothing better to do

mustrunmore · 27/08/2006 21:36

I tried black hair, but it went a grey/green horrible shade.

Had a purple bedroom in our flat; when we moved, dh's number one rule was ... no purple anywhere, of any shade.

Second night of cc is shambolic; gave in and bf ds2; he seemed so thirsty from crying. But did stop before he fell asleep, put him in cot, and then he only cried a couple of mins before gomig to sleep sniffing

mustrunmore · 27/08/2006 21:38

We had a slap un lunch today.. in Ikea with both ds's

No more choc for me; on a mission to no longer look pg. Esp as good looking lodger is back

Jasnem · 27/08/2006 21:42

Oooh I've got wine in the fridge

My purple tendancies have been squashed over the years. The dds are both trained to choose it at every availabe opportunity though.

Jasnem · 27/08/2006 21:44

I'm feeding to sleep, but he usually wakes when I put him down now. I'm sitting with him until he drops off, and only getting him back up and feeding again if he's really stressed and upset.
I couldn't do cc. I'm too soft.

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 21:45

Get the wine out jas

My bedroom was lilac, now cream but still got lilac bedding. And we got lilac tiles in the bathroom and lilac towels and bath mat.

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 21:47

We sort of did cc when ds was only about 4 mth old and he goes down no problem most nights now. It is hard at 1st but OMG is it worth it

mustrunmore · 27/08/2006 21:50

How long did it take to get easier then? Last night dh put him down, and he went really easy, but tonight was horrible.Does it include if you give a half feed?!

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 21:55

For him to go to sleep without crying at all did take a while for us and i've never fed him to sleep (but i did used to cuddle him to sleep) If u get it in ur head that its for the best and are determined he will get used to it eventually i'm sure but if ur gonna do it i think u need to stick to it not give in and feed him. (sorry)

Jasnem · 27/08/2006 21:55

I've eaten a large pot of yoghurt (still no chocolate delivery) and have the wine in my hand.

I think cc worked for csws in about a week, but I may be imagining it.

Bu88er. Boy is screamin. I may or may not be back later.

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 21:58

Yeah csws did do it quickly cos as it started working for her ds started going to sleep on his own without us going up to him at all.

dewmeadow · 27/08/2006 22:01

Can boys wear purple and not look like girls?

dewmeadow · 27/08/2006 22:04

also couldnt do cc with DS- it was so traumatic with DD and to no avail. Though we did it at 18 months when she went into her own bed. Her door was closed and she kept crying for me and I would go ina nd put her back into bed, etc. So DH said that it had to stop and we would let her cry. How long????

5 minutes and 2 nights, and never again. But she was 18 months

Jasnem · 27/08/2006 22:29

I have a purple tie dyed t shirt that was dd1s, which my friend used for her ds. I think it depends what you put it with.

BTW I fed him back to sleep again[blush. I'm not going to worry about it til I'm ready to stop bf. Both dds stopped waking in the night when I stopped bf, and I think at least dd1 was going to sleep on her own by then.

Don't worry about it now jas, worry if ur feeding him to sleep at 16 yr old then u've gt a problem.

Jasnem · 27/08/2006 22:35

Amiable · 27/08/2006 23:00

Well, once again DD has woken up. Having looked at the feeding chart we keep (I know, how anal! ) the last few nights the feed has come forward from midnight to 10pm in half hour stages. She has obviously decided that as we haven't done anything about it, she has brought her night time feed forward herself, so she can get a decent nights sleep! Not that it makes much difference to us, DP is a night owl and usually up til well past midnight anyway so he never minds giving her that late feed.

Well, we're off to see friends tomorrow - my oldest friend, who I've known since I was 10, and her hubby. She has her MIL staying at the moment, so is keen for us to visit for the afternoon. Her DH is Egyptian Muslim, and his mum doesn't think they drink, so they have had to hide their booze!!

Then I'm possibly going up to my parents for the afternoon on Tuesday (only an hour away) and then meeting up with some of my friends on Wednesday for a baby-free evening. Hectic, hectic! I'll speak to you all later in the week.

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 23:02

Evening Amiable

3k · 27/08/2006 23:26

Hi Ladies I'm here too!!!

I feed DS to sleep on his last feed, he kind of knows that he has a bath then a cuddle/bottle then he nods off and we put him in his cot for the night normally.

For those of you bottle feeding are you going to change to number 3 milk the follow on one with more iron now they are 6 months or stick with number 1 or 2?

Have a problem with DS with breakfast, he doesn't seem to want any at the moment. Tried Ready Break this morning and he projectile vomited after 1 mouthful as he hated it that much!! He did have a big lunch after but no dinner. Seems some days he wants food but definately gone off breakfast. Any ideas? I tried breakfast first then bottle and now bottle then breakfast.

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 23:35

Hi 3k

Think i'm just gonna stick to milk he's on (sma white) according to other mn follow on stuff is a waste of time.

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 23:36

Don't know about the breakfast thing 3k sorry

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 23:40

Lewis started gagging on puree again at tea time today, i thought he'd got over it after i tried him with lumpier food but he seems to have started again. I gave him a bit of rusk just before his tea, he gagged with his tea then was sick a bit after it, blame the rusk I'll hae to see what he's like tomorrw.

PhoenixGirl · 27/08/2006 23:40

have

3k · 28/08/2006 00:03

Maybe they have their days where they seem to lapse a little, I'm not too worried as he eats when he wants it but it would be nice to get some brekkie down him.
