CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2006 07:38

Right ladies - the race is on to see which of our DCs can self feed a sausage roll first!

Oh, and some of you don't seem to have aged since we got pregnant, so if you've got closer to your telegrams from the queen then please let me know!

Boy has hair, but no teeth. I will try and post a pic of dd1 when I've worked out how to scan it. She had her first hair cut after she started school at 4.
The fact that he was born with hair was the only thing I took in when he was born, as I was expecting another baldy. It's all fallen out and grown back blond, but he still has more than either of the girls did at a year.

Flamesparrow · 23/08/2006 13:31

I'm gonna be a nappy advisor... I'm gonna be a nappy advisor...........

Jasnem · 23/08/2006 13:46

Congratulations.

Do you get paid? How does it work?

Flamesparrow · 23/08/2006 13:57

Commission. I get the orders, people pay me full price, then I get them for 15% less to sell. 20% off to build up my display collection (ooh the hardship - I have to buy some more nappies to have a full set... )

damewashalot · 23/08/2006 14:04

Will you make any money at it flame or just end up with loads of nappies??

BTW I gave up waiting for UK flying stuff have joined US one.

Flamesparrow · 23/08/2006 14:20

Not a clue, but cheap nappies are always good . I'll hassle a few local drs surgeries etc, and they point people to me from the website

damewashalot · 23/08/2006 14:39

I keep clicking bottles must go do stuff

Flamesparrow · 23/08/2006 15:56

I've had some uk fly lady stuff now. Liking the 27 thing fling (only did the chucking 1/2 though)

damewashalot · 23/08/2006 16:07

Well......... I've still got a shiney sink longest ever it's been so clean kitchen tidier so we'll see afraid i might be a failure cos i really don't like shoes so am not wearing them

Flamesparrow · 23/08/2006 16:15

I'm anti shoes too.

But since I'm still sat here in pjs and dressing gown...

Amiable · 23/08/2006 17:30

CSWS - love the photos of the meet-ups! the photo of pippa is brilliant!

Chloe & Frizbe - thanks for the food/weaning stuff. I've been serving up pureed veg, but am feeling brave enough to venture into finger foods & lumpier stuff now. DD is one of the younger ones and will be 6 months tomorrow, so I think it's time. I would have done BLW (just my knid of lazy thing!! ) but only read about it when I had already pureed and frozen loads of veg, so figured I might as well carry on.

the weekend was lovely with my friend and her family but I was very down on Monday night after they'd gone. It went so fast. DP and her hubby got on brilliantly, when I asked DP what he thought of my friends, he corrected me - they are now "our" friends!!

can't remember what else I wanted to say, hope you are all well.

Flamesparrow · 23/08/2006 17:44

Back is finally starting to ease - a day of sending bottles did me sooo much good.

DS is asleep in crib after being whingy, DD watching backyardigans, and is slightly whingy, but I think better for the rest.

House is still a state, but I am feeling more positive about it gradually getting fixed, thanks to FLYing. My mum is all enthused by it too

Jasnem · 23/08/2006 18:40

I have a shiny sink and no shoes.

Flamey · 23/08/2006 18:41
Grin
Flamey · 23/08/2006 18:46

Hmmm... took out the meat... just found out that we have no casserole mixes, very little other food... gonna have to go to the shop!

Jasnem · 23/08/2006 20:13

I'm going to carefully ignore the FLY threads until next week.
My task when the girls are away is to spring clean and tidy the whole house. I will start once that is done. (Every other year they've gone gor 3 days and I've decorated, so even with boy to accomodate it should be easy)

Hope your back is better .

I had 6 kids for lunch. My two nearest neighbours are both fairly heavily pg, and both have been hospitalised this week, so I took in 3 small boys for lunch while the grandmothers collected things to take to hospital. I'm glad 've got a tent in the garden.

Frizbe · 23/08/2006 20:15

Ok can someone explain the flylady thing, I've been paying no attention to that thread, what's with the shoes??

I have a horrible air pressure induced headache (I know this as its got a bit better now a thunderstorm has been over) but bloody dh appears to have taken my headache drugs with him, that I can take whilst BF and he's left the sodding stuff I can't have, grrrrrrrrrrrr and with my poor head.

MRM good luck with the run, I'm guessing if its raining as hard as it is here, your not going

Flame congrats on the nappy lady thing! you'll be doing the real nappy days with your local SS then will you?

CSWS dd2 is a hair and flesh grabber here too, she's also started trying to teeth on me today, she is sooooo off of these boobies in two weeks time

Jasnem · 23/08/2006 20:25

It's getting on top of cleaning, and taking pride in yourself (haven't read enough to explain it better) Step one is shiny sink. step 2 is getting dressed to your shoes....never going to happen here. I once went an entire school summer holiday without wearing shoes once!

mrm has a running machine thingy, so rain is not an excuse

My excuse for total lack of exercise is that I'm A LAZY MARE(Accidental, but appropriate capitals)

Jasnem · 23/08/2006 20:27

Do you have calpol and childrens ibuprofen Frizbe? You need to drink a fair bit t get an adult dose, but in an emergency it's betterthan suffering.

Flamey · 23/08/2006 20:42

lol - I need a translation

"you'll be doing the real nappy days with your local SS then will you?"

mustrunmore · 23/08/2006 21:02

~Jas, you're not lazy. You're just one of those annoying people that look naturally fantastic
Run did not occur, due to children, phone calls, cleaning, life. Crap. Even with my pride and joy treadmill.

mustrunmore · 23/08/2006 21:04

Oh, and was wondering.. who's going to the xmas do? Other than Jas, I know.Amm basically looking for someone to walk in there with!!! And offering a sofa bed to anyone travelling from elsewhere.

Jasnem · 23/08/2006 21:05

Psychomum put Flame down for it!

Did she tell you Flame?

mustrunmore · 23/08/2006 21:11

Are you going by tube?

Frizbe · 23/08/2006 21:17

Ah an indoor running machine, how fab, couldn't you do tel calls whilst on it then MRM, like they do in films

Jas, I've only got calpol in at the mo and not enough for an adult dose, I lilterally chucked out ss's over 6 stuff the other week as it'd gone by its sell by date.....drat!

I can't have a shiney sink, we've one of those stoopid plastic ones, bloody hard to get/keep clean, oh how I long for a stainless steel sink (damn developers)
