CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2006 07:38

Right ladies - the race is on to see which of our DCs can self feed a sausage roll first!

Oh, and some of you don't seem to have aged since we got pregnant, so if you've got closer to your telegrams from the queen then please let me know!

Oh, ffs!
Here's my last couple of days:
Dad gets puncture driving down here; blow out on M1 hard shoulder.Gets it fixed. Drives us to Mountfitchet.Tyre flat whern we return to car. Pump it up and leave early to get back to KwikFit to moan. Goes flat on M25; pump it up in the rain. Leave coat on road in error. ds1 wakes and needs a wee. Speed to Tescos as quick as poss with a flat. Changes his mind. Get to KwikFit. Fixed £91.Drive to Ikea. Stuck in traffic.

But it was a great trip out for Lex. And I am happy because I got new drawers from Ikea, so can do lots of rearranging tonight!!

csws.. you can post that photo, but if I decide it horrible, I'll have a fit and you can unpost it!!!

mustrunmore · 19/08/2006 08:42

Hi Frizbe; I'm exactly the same bf quandry as you!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/08/2006 09:02

So everyone's in a good mood today then?!

mrm & bram

I kept trying to post yesterday but it wouldn't let me - Argh MRM for your days.

12 children - my two, plus Psycho's 5, plus her friend's 5... (see Psycho's depressed thread for where I have been most of the week).

Wedding today, so not on much.

Breastfeeding - I can't be bothered to stop... far too much hassle! I may change my mind if we have teeth issues though

Not really sure what else to say right now. Oh - DS is now on a mix of purees (mainly shop bought because I am enjoying the holidays too much to cook an evening meal half the time, let alone puree ), and whatever we're eating. He seems happy

Jasnem · 19/08/2006 09:11

It's a lovely picture

I don't feel too bad. I'm used to getting very little sleep now, and so far the girls have been good. dd1 has rediscovered the joy of Harry Potter on the xbox, so I'm reading and drinking more tea

Flame - I hope you're okay. I'm worrying about you as well as PM.

Just keep going with the bf until they get teeth and then decide. It's way too convenient to stop without a very good reason now (for me, anyway)

mustrunmore · 19/08/2006 13:21

I think I'll carry on until I dont need to sterilise bottles, but hopefully drop a lunchtime feed, as there's no chance of him letting go of his bedtime one.

csws... its actually not very nice. Bram looks very cute and poignant, but I look as if I've got short hair. And far too overweight.

mustrunmore · 19/08/2006 13:48

Flame.. watch the postman

PhoenixGirl · 19/08/2006 14:05

I'm home from work now and got Lewis fast asleep on my knee.

Forgot to say my zapp came yesterday and i love it

We're off to my mums for a few drinks tonight and staying over there (even though dh doesn't even drink) they've got a pc in case i get mn withdrawal symptoms

mustrunmore · 19/08/2006 15:36

So, can you fit any kind of buggy board on a Zapp?

PhoenixGirl · 19/08/2006 16:34

Well i'm not an expert on buggy boards but i wouldn't have thought so. I think i read a thread on here somewhere the other day and it said u can't.

Frizbe · 19/08/2006 21:09

dahhh drat re the Zapp n the buggy boards.....its cute when they fall asleep on your lap tho isn't it

Flame hope your ok? hope wedding is good.

Jas, how are you feeling now? I've managed to get thru the day with a very tired dd1 by the end of it, she even went and put her own jammies on and demanded to come home from Grans!

CSWS I can't get it to load......

Oooooh dd2 managed to haul herself 4 paces forward today across grans floor before she gave up and howled and as surely it can't be long now before she's off, my ickle baby is growing up....

mustrunmore · 19/08/2006 21:25

crap, crap. ds1 fell asleep 4pm; nothing would wake him. But he's wide awake now.

Frizbe · 19/08/2006 21:27

Oh bugger......keep him up until you go to bed, you never know he might sleep thru then?

3k · 19/08/2006 23:49

been out tonight and my mum had DS, he cried for ages then threw up in his buggy and I didnt leave a change of clothes so he has been sitting in sick for hours. I feel really awlful, dont think I'll got out for a while now it has put me off! Had a good night but this has ruined it as I feel guilty now. Only went to a local pub for dinner and a drink with out neighbours but it was really lovely until I got home

Jasnem · 20/08/2006 07:36

morning all,

My kids are waiting til they go to my mums next week, then they will sleep til 9 every day.

Jasnem · 20/08/2006 07:44

mrm- what time did he go to bed, and did you get any sleep?
Are you wanting a quinny zapp now?§You are definitely queen of buggies.

3k. Why didn't she ring you to come home?

mustrunmore · 20/08/2006 08:00

He went to bed 10.30pm after rice krispies, but dh lay with him until about midnight (he fell asleep on his bedroom floor!). Thought we'd be in for a lie in today, but he woke up at 5.30 when dh left for work.
Dont think I do want a Zapp; think I'm back onto the idea of a buggyboard for the trip to nursery. But I want one that only costs me a fiver!!!

Jasnem · 20/08/2006 08:13

The whole late night = lie in has never worked for us, either!

Frizbe · 20/08/2006 13:09

oh drat MRM, sorry it didn't work out that way....why do they always get up at 5.530 instead of 6-6.30? pah!

3K agree with Jas, why didn't she ring you, or undress him and make him a toga or something! whilst using hairdryer to dry out clothes......(can you tell I've done that before )
Hope you had a good night until that happened anyway and don't let it put you off going out, they have to get used to mummy the seperate person, even if it is a bit painful at 1st for them.....

Jas, sorry to hear yours got up early again too....is it just the girls off to your mums or are you all going?

Have been to meet some friends at soft play this am with a little boy, so dd very happy as she not only got to play with another person her own age, but we also ran into another girl from nursery, who we hadn't arranged to meet, whom she promptly attatched to and the three of them played happily for an hour together

mustrunmore · 20/08/2006 13:12

Frizbe... my best day for ages was when Jas's dds adopted ds1 at the soft play He still keeps mentioning them!

3k · 20/08/2006 13:57

Not sure why she didnt undress him to be honest, I dont think she realised how bad it was as it was more underneath him in the pushchair and not so much on top. She did wipe most of it off on the top but the bit underneath was hidden. He went to sleep more or less straight after. He is fine today, we bathed him at midnight and he went straight off. Sometimes he just gets really upset and makes himself sick and my mum hasnt seen that side before. Poor thing.

Off food shopping in a bit once DH has put the seat back on the pushchair as we put it straight in the washing machine last night. They are not easy to get off or on are they!!!

PhoenixGirl · 20/08/2006 14:18

Hello,

We all stayed over at my mums last night (including the dog) and just got back home. Lewis went to bed and slept all thru the noise that all the drunken idiots were making downstairs (me, dh, mum, dad and 4 of parents friends) Me and dh slept on an airbed on the room floor (not at all comfy) cos my bro wouldn't give his bed up for us even tho he didn't even roll in til 6am and then Lewis thought it'd be good to get up at 6.10 anyway. So i'm knackered and a little bit hung over.

Why does my child blow raspberries with a mouthful of food? Does anyone else get that?

I think i've mentioned it on here before about lewis gipping with his food. Well i stopped pureeing my own food a few weeks ago cos i thought it was something i was doing and went to jars but he still did it and i was starting to worry about him.

When i met chloe55 last week i think she saw him do it and she mentioned oscar had had some 7mth old jars so i thought i'd try Lewis with them and the gipping seemed to get a bit worse with the lumpier food. So since Friday i've gone back to the 4-6mth jars and touch wood he hasn't gipped once. But he eats finger food ok so what does anyone think the problem is/was?

Its took me ages to write this and can't remember owt else

PhoenixGirl · 20/08/2006 15:07

Is ds ok to have philaelphia?

Bit late to ask really cos i just gave him a little bit on cracker bread but for future reference
