I was careful not to ask for personal opinions on whether Scotland should be independent (though would be interested) just whether you think the yes or no will win it :o

TheDetective · 18/02/2014 21:02

18 months apparently.

I was informed of this by a patient.

So I could not tell her to fuck off, and run away screaming.

Grin
TheDetective · 18/02/2014 21:06

Then she told me it lasts 2 months.

GRRRRRRRR! Shock

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2014 21:08

I was about to say 18 months and thought better of it. :o I don't remember an 18mo regression with DD1. Possibly because she was already happily sleeping in my bed. She had a few bad nights at 19mo but that was when LO was born and the ILs were here so put it down to the change in circumstances.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2014 21:12

18mo regression Aaaaaarrrrgghhhhh.

BigPigLittlePig · 18/02/2014 21:18

Nope. Am ignoring you. It's not true. Anyway, you have to be sleeping to be able to regress.

Hope ds2 is better, Stunt. And dd2 VQ.

Nice to see you Flouncy. Am vair jealous of hols.

Erm.

Tired. So fucking tired.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2014 21:23

Somewhere in that link it does say that sleepers regress at 18mo and non sleepers start sleeping.

YellowWellies · 18/02/2014 21:23

Hmmmm think we best wean before the 18 month regression kicks in. Marvellous. Confused

Passmethecrisps · 18/02/2014 21:29

Thanks ladies! It feels lovely. I did know that she can now do dairy but it was great for her to have the official sign off. I think we might get one more prescription and use it to wean off. Fingers crossed other quiche babies follow.

I think we had a fake charity collector round tonight. Cerebral palsy kids Scotland. Selling awful home made fridge magnets. We called the coppers as it is such a cynical thing to do. I figure that if she was genuine then she might be helped by some advice on door to door stuff. P loved the coppers.

flouncymcflouncerson · 18/02/2014 21:32

Hal! Regression....Js life is a permanent sleep regression!!

He does eat tho....like fecking horse!

Surprisingly am not that excited about said holiday. Feels fake, like I'm not really going! So looking forward to surprising my friend tho! Any good ideas?

Passmethecrisps · 18/02/2014 21:34

And between you me and the quiche pr I reckon it will be a no. Bored of it. I think Alex salmond is a self-serving, lying toad who would sell us all down the river on the promise of policies akin to 11 year old children.

Flag. Meet mast.

PurplePidjin · 18/02/2014 21:48

What about non-sleepers who have become sleepers?

Pikz · 18/02/2014 22:01

< sees news of more regression>

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2014 22:09

I don't know. As I said I didn't notice much of a recression for DD1 and am hoping LO will just miss this regression out completely. I do hope the rumour mentioned on that site that non sleepers start to sleep at 18mo is true for the quiche sleep dodgers. And may the sleepers skip this chapter in the baby manuals.

BigPigLittlePig · 18/02/2014 22:10

Fingers crossed eh?

StuntNun · 19/02/2014 00:44

J has gone back to sleep after his new midnight wake up but I feel too upset to sleep myself. We had a few nights of better sleep here and there but it's been back to 'normal' again lately. The nights are such torture.

No, no, no. I don't believe in sleep regression Confused.
Going for music class today. Highlight of our week. We are shape sorting this morning. Well,I'm sorting. She is watching me.

YellowWellies · 19/02/2014 07:57

PR I think the no vote will win, similar to the vote on AV - largely through reactionary wariness of the new from the electorate. I think folks views on independence very much depend on what they do for a living. Teachers rightly hate Salmond for pushing thru his ego project 'The curriculum for excellence' before its ready in time for the referendum.

The big banks have told their staff their jobs will move south if there's a yes vote which I find a shocking (and illegal!) attempt to blackmail them and influence the electoral process. I'm minded that if its bad for the banks its probably good for the rest of us.

I work in renewables / climate change - fields that have a promising future in Scotland either way but which have benefited most from SNP policy - so we've all got a bias! Smile

Folks need to remember that the vote isn't a short term vote on personalities - a yes isnt a vote for Salmond or against Cameron (I'm certainly guilty of the latter!!!) but a vote on long term structural issues.

I think if the West of Shetland oil bloc leasing and offshore RE leasing can be used to fund a social fund a la Norway then there is a chance for a decent social democracy. Studies also show that 5 million is the optimum size for a responsive in touch democracy. I look at the UK under the current smug public school shower being sold up the river under crony capitalism, private sector companies clamouring for the mail, the NHS, the parole service, the police and I shudder. I see the EA and other bodies meant to protect our people, environment and our heritage being hamstrung and deliberately prevented from doing their jobs and then being blamed for it. I see work not paying and income gaps widening. And I do think there must be something better than this.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/02/2014 08:00

Morning quiche.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/02/2014 08:02

That's interesting yw thanks for the explanation :)

ditsygal · 19/02/2014 08:55

18 month sleep regression? we don't seem to have recovered ever from the 13 month one! we have a couple of good days and then something else disrupts it like colds, fever, teeth, bad dreams, seperation anxiety, the moon being full or the cat looking at him the wrong way - who knows!

We are currently dealing with the worst cold he has ever had and over night his breathing scared me as was very laboured and noisy so we are off to the drs at 10am to be told its just a cold and to stop worrying I'm sure. But I have to check just incase.

flouncy ofcourse you were missed! I am jealous of the hol!
pikz hope you feel better soon, hugs.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/02/2014 09:12

Typical that my first freelance project is about something of which I have zero knowledge. It's going to take ages....

PurplePidjin · 19/02/2014 09:44

r woke at 2:30 for an hour and a half. i doubt i was asleep before midnight. today i am grumpy and snappy and so tired i feel physically sick. and my mum has a "migraine" read slight headache and major case of cantbearseditis just trying to get my shit together to go to play group where someone will make me a coffee and feed me biscuits Sad

YellowWellies · 19/02/2014 09:54

I ate two cubes of cheddar yesterday at playgroup (I couldn't resist the wee snack plate) and Jonas decided he wanted to start the day at 5.30. Luckily DH had him until 8am after I'd tried to feed him back to sleep for half an hour. At the moment anytime we have weird sleeplessness it is diet related.

Ditsy I hear you - it took us easily 2-3 months to get over the 12 month regression / MMR / teething shit storm - it was horrible. Am soooo looking forward to the 18 month regression when I'll be 3-4 months preggers - two months of sleeplessness and pregnancy insomnia oh the joys!

PR good luck!
