I am waiting to hear if I will be awarded my first ever paid freelance project. V v v v bad pay for two days of work, not even enough to pay for my weekly shop, but I need to build up a portfolio of work to show potential clients and this would be a good one to have. Am also preparing a cover email for two clients I'd like to do a freebie for (oo er) in exchange for references.

Hello quiche! Have you missed me?! Or should I not ask that.

Today has been spent reading through the last thread whine I've had snippets of time with kids not whining at me. I did it....1055 messages have been read. However I haven't taken much in at all....Except....

CONGRATUFUCKINGLATIONS MRS YELLOW WELLIES!!!!!! WOWEE!!!

Very happy for you guys. J will make a great big brotherbear :)

Em...I see sleep is still shit for my other favourite J....sorry to read that but at the same time it gives me hope that everyone else's baby is sleeping well and it saves me from having stabby thoughts about the others! Sorry to those with sleeping babies but until you have been here in this fucked up sleep situation you cannot not possibly know how crap it is to read of people complaining about early starts :( J goes down around 9pm after being cuddled to sleep and wakens at least 3 times til we go to bed at 11ish where he then sleeps on my face...literally!

I have started back our baby swimming for a few weeks with J. He loves it! I also have a nice week planned. Met a friend yesterday and this Friday I'm spending the day with friends at a muchos fancy hotel spa which they are treating me to for my birthday. Mar hall of anyone fancies a nosy!

I jet off next weekend which is exciting and scary! So I'll be in Manchester on Friday....will only see the hotel and airport but hey I'll be near some other quichettes.

Exciting about the holiday flouncy

Well done pr

O was hysterical several times today, she is definitely in pain just not sure what hurts her. We have an appointment on Thursday with the gp, just hope she won't get worst. At this stage I'm suspecting teeth.

Need to start studying again but I think I won't until I finish all of dexter. It's just too much of temptation.

Ps when I said he sleeps on my face this is interspersed with him wakening in and kicking us both about ten times! He kicked DH in the throat last nite!

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2014 18:51

DD1 gave me a black eye one night. I hate co-sleeping. I was heavily pregnant and I think the neighbours suspected DH.

Report
flouncymcflouncerson · 18/02/2014 19:06

I hate it too. But for us it's cosleeping or no sleeping :(

ValiumQueen · 18/02/2014 19:07

Hello McF Smile What is it about sleeping on your face? J does that too, and the whole kicking thing is just like our bed. He did sleep through last night though so Please God let this be him turning a corner.

Report
PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2014 19:10

With DD1 it is cosleeping or no sleeping too. Poor LO has never had the chance to cosleep. DD1 won't sleep in her bed at night. She's three next month.

flouncymcflouncerson · 18/02/2014 19:18

how ya doing mrs?

pr does she sleep ok in your bed? I almost think I could deal with it if he did sleep well but he really doesn't. It's so hard and I don't know what to do about it as it just doesn't seem fixable!

PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2014 19:36

She sleeps ok but moves around a lot - lots of kicking and hitting and general starshaped limb action. I end up moving down the bed and sleeping curled up near the bottom and that wrecks my back. She also coughs a lot at night. This is the second autumn/winter she has done that. And she snores. All this is better than her being awake at night though. I can't get used to it though and sleep less and less, though stress hasn't been helping.

applepieinthesky · 18/02/2014 19:50

C still sleeps with us most nights. He starts off in his bed but is awake by 2 or 3am and won't go back to sleep in his bed. I should be firmer but if I try to insist he stays in his bed he gets absolutely hysterical and I need my sleep so he ends up in with us.

Yes PR, the curled-up-in-a-ball stance. I often have to sleep banana shaped too. Not good. I do not bend that way.

You do what you have to do to survive.

Report
PetiteRaleuse · 18/02/2014 20:14

Backwards banana? I know that one. Last time I slept facing DD1 was the Night of the Black Eye.

But her sleeping and stopping me sleeping is better than her not sleeping and stopping me sleeping.

Evening laydees!

Halloha to flouncy! You are always missed. I bet that holiday is being coined down in minutes!

Congrats to the freelance work pr! Speedy work.

The haircut looks cute chasing.

P was at the paed today. Been discharged as she is 50th for height and weight and clearly thriving. Omeprazole as long as we want but time to let go of the nutramigen. Moo milk here we come!

Yay Pass!!!! That's so exciting!

The day we freaky eaters are all waiting for! And one of us has done it!

How do you feel about it? Grin

Speaking of meds, I had forgotten to mention O is now med free - has been for 4 weeks. It might be more. We ran out, and there was no difference without for the first time. So we've just not give it, and there isn't a difference. So there we go!

Next dairy challenge we have scheduled for 16 months. 6 months from his last one, and at least a month before the next cunting bastarding shitting regression should arrive.

Fingers crossed for no illness at the end of March!

I'm getting a little afraid he won't accept new foods by then though. He is just starting to show preferences for food. He damn well knows what a biscuit is now, and you better not have one without him getting one too Hmm. Wee bugger!

Sometimes I feel a little envious of co-sleepers then I slap myself! as O just won't do it, so we can't use it as a way of settling him. I've tried so many times!

It's hard to settle them again at this age. I run out of ideas after cloth and sheep. DP would give milk. I won't as we ended up doing CCing after DP was giving milk when I was on night shifts and O started waking more and more expecting milk.

Luckily cloth and sheep sort out 90% of wake ups. Calpol the other 9%. It's just that 1% where we run out of ideas!

pass that's great news :)

I have a question for the haggismunchers: what do you think about the referendum in September? Which way do you think it will go?
