Omg I would have cried! Anyone who says don't cry over spilt milk has clearly never expressed!!
Bring that sounds horrendous I hate being cold! Are you roughing it out with m now?
Pear what are current times?
Kitten and tiger slept well last night, no wake ups from either but I've had to take kitten to the doctors, she's been bunged up for 3 days and yet pooing every 30 mins a tiny bit like a raisin then screaming in pain as it's comming out plus her bum is now red raw even with sudey so she clenches to stop us wiping Hmm so horrible but she's had her first dose of lactolose and has had a big nappy!! Woo hoo thrush cream to make sure it's not that aswell little darling

bringonthetrumpets · 10/02/2014 18:44

Aww poor kitten! Ouchie bum. Maybe some nappie-free time after her bath?

Shock Poor you frus !!! Ahhh, horrible feeling. Thanks for you!

Our house is back to a normal temperature. I guess the new filter did the trick. We are still all huddled under blankets watching the Olympics though Grin

Yeah. Little Miss is getting to be a grump when it comes to sleeping. She came in our bed at 3 am probably because she was freezing her toes off and even after having a big feed was hitting me, pulling on my face, squealing, kicking around, trying to roll around... it was a bit torturous. We eventually fell asleep under the duvet and she got in a nap this morning whilst I have to battle it out with the caffeine and choc chip cookies I made

I've had her nappy off her quite abit bring but little bits of poo kept comming, we've just taken it off for the bath and no more after poo gate so fx!
It's so anoying when they seem untried then nap it out in the dayConfused yes your glad they can sleep but when they've kept you awake and you don't have the same luxury it's just cruel! A big fluffy baby grow and blankets tonight??

Oh no. Poor Kitten. Do you have any suspicions what could be the cause? Baby pear is still constipated. The Doctor says it will get better the more he moves. I hope he's right as I don't like hiding Lactolose in his pudding! Oh kitty we've gone back a few step Hmm He's doing 15-20min in the day and tonight he took 35minutes. He's getting himself in a big state. So much so I have had to go in the room, place a hand on his back and say ssshh ssshhh for 2 minutes. Amazingly that seems to be doing the trick and send him straight to sleep but I feel I may now be putting bad habits into place. He's still in his cot though and I've not gone back to rocking so it's sort of my compromise with him. He is still a baby koala my baby koala Blush

peardrop2 · 10/02/2014 21:35

I must say 7 nights on and it doesn't feel like we've cracked it tonight. I'm starting to think this could take us a month Hmm However, on a positive note... Last night he slept until 5:30am and I got 5.5 hours sleep which was heaven! Yes, I fed him and yes that messed up breakfast but that's another battle Wink

peardrop2 · 10/02/2014 21:37

However, 7 nights ago I was dream feeding...that's something very positive right Wink

peardrop2 · 10/02/2014 21:38

I do not miss staying up until midnight

peardrop2 · 10/02/2014 21:39

Oh and we've noticed that he's stopped biting our shoulders in frustration from being so over tired so that's lovely to know that we've fixed that for him Smile

bringonthetrumpets · 10/02/2014 22:23

I know there are specific things that Gina F says to do or not to do when it comes to sleep training, but every baby is different. If it's working for you, then it's not a bad habit and he probably just needs that reassurance that you're there and he's not alone. Glad that what you are doing is improving other areas as well.

peardrop2 · 10/02/2014 22:31

Bring ~ I'm not following Gina F for the sleep training part. I think she's a firm believer not to go back into the room at all which doesn't suit me as I like to check if it's gone past 25/30 minutes as that seems to be the time when he generally needs me. I just like to reference Gina for routine times and weaning. But you're right...all babies are different. I'm not going to ssshh pat him every time though as I really don't want him to rely on that and never self settle as I'll be back to square 1 then Wink

Any babies waving or clapping yet? Not here. Just crawling from us and lots of raspberry blowing & voom voom noises.

peardrop2 · 11/02/2014 03:39

Can anyone recommend a travel booster seat that fits on chairs for eating? I've heard the munchkin one is quite good.

I just did shhhh pay at 3:15 and it worked a treat but I walked out the room and heard his settle himself so I'm not doing damage woohoo Smile Also realised I'm only actually doing it for 2-3 minutes so it's not like I'm there for 30 minutes patting away. TG I don't have to hear the crying in the night...pheweee!

peardrop2 · 11/02/2014 03:39

ssssh pat

bringonthetrumpets · 11/02/2014 05:58

Ohhh myyyyy godddddddd. She is driving me BONKERS.

OP posts:
kittykatsforever · 11/02/2014 07:09

Oh no bring! What's she up to? Or is it the fact she's up full stop?
Pear it doesn't sound bad having to do a little shh pat, especially only for a minute, the 5:30 wake up was that missing his 3? That's really good, if it was me I'd have dragged it out til 6 then started the day with a big happy smile open curtains arnt you clever type but then you miss out on an extra bit of sleep, would be good for him to drop it naturally though! You need to go to bed earlier young lady!!! When I had wake ups I'd be in bed at 7:30 lol
Kitten has been clapping and waving for months, don't know why she was so quick, she can't follow me from a room but she can wave me out lol Grin

Ha ha frus I'd love that!! Her shaking her head saying stupid mum thinks I can't get anywhere mwahahahah lol

peardrop2 · 11/02/2014 08:46

That's weird. I know 2 other babies who wave, clap and sit. Maybe it's that or crawling lol If I was a baby I would choose the clap and wave option Smile

Kitty ~ my dilemma is the morning time changes nearly everyday. Last night he woke at 3am. I think my only option would be to let him CIO if I wanted him to sleep through Hmm boo! You're right though. I shouldn't go to bed so late. I was painting my nails for 1 hour last night. I just feel I desperately need some ME time at the moment as I've lost 8 months Grin Maybe this weekend when I start dieting I'll be more inclined to go to bed earlier so I don't eat Blush

kittykatsforever · 11/02/2014 09:04

Ha ha pear that's what I do on my diet days! I do the 5-2 so only have to starve two days a week!
You are doing the right thing and soon enough when he's sleeping you will get your time back, we are exceptionally lucky with ours that they are usually both asleep by 7-7:30 and will both just go straight to sleep, sometimes after we've had dinner and sat on the sofa we are like omg how nice I'd it when they've gone to bed! Lol
Must say though once I've sat down I can't be bothered to do much, that's why I do my cooking etc with the kids so I don't have to later was up till 11:30 last night doing my eBay stuff though, that's the latest night I've had in ages lol

kittykatsforever · 11/02/2014 09:08

Pear do you ever give him 5 minutes at 3 if he wakes to see of he will go back to sleep? Just leave him I mean and see how he reacts for abit? When kitten had set times for waking and it went later it would sometimes go back till the earlier time but then go later again until it was later all the time

Going to start sleep training this weekend - going to try pick up/put down and ssshh pat methods and see how we go.
