Hahhah no he wouldn't dare Wink I'm so exhausted again Hmm Kitty maybe you're right. Maybe I just need to let him CIO in the night. He was hungry at 7am because there was a long enough gap and he hardly took any milk at 2am. I was kicking myself for not sending DH in to give him a hug and settle him back down.

kittykatsforever · 13/02/2014 09:26

Don't feel you have to seriously just because i did, I just wanted you to know incase you felt like you couldn't, I would always wait for 5 mins or so to make sure he's not settle if himself, you will be able to tell from knowing how he is, could you maybe try just offering him water or would that anoy him more? My sister was told to do it by her hv as her dd was so big 99 percentile lol is he a good weight? Kitten is on the 75th

peardrop2 · 13/02/2014 09:28

Agnu that's really nice that you've found someone to share fun times out with your little one Smile

Bring...so?

peardrop2 · 13/02/2014 09:32

Hmm I think water would upset him. He's 21lbs. I know other babies who're sleeping through and dropped the morning milk feed after a few nights. What did you do with kitten, go in and put your hand on her after 5 minutes?

peardrop2 · 13/02/2014 09:42

I don't fully trust my HV anyway. She told me that he had nappy rash near his bits. For weeks I was layering nappy cream but I was suspicious as It did not look like nappy rash to me. I realised myself that he's allergic to bubble bath like me and once I stopped using it the problem went away. So, I don't feel this particular HV gives the best advice.

kittykatsforever · 13/02/2014 10:53

I can't really remember pear, I think I just waited to see how the stiring / crying was then if it escalates went in and put my hand on her bum shhhh it's sleepy time then went back out again, sometimes i didn't go in, sometimes it got worse it was all trial and error but I just didn't feed her and it only lasted a few days after a week she never woke again bar when she's been unwell, she was back up to two night feeds at this point after sleeping through, I think I would have been ok with one maybe lol but she went up to two then I though no she's getting into bad habits

I don't trust HV either. It's a pretty shoddy system if you ask me! No consistency, different opinions all the time, wrong advice or information, and they don't actually do anything when things actually DO come up. Urgh. It would save the country so much money if they just did away with them.

She slept through the night! Shocked my pants off this morning when I realized that I had woken up before her and that I hadn't be woken up through the night. She had a really long feeding session right before bed and seemed to cluster feed and then she was good for the night. Praying she'll do it again tonight. She's got a runny nose without seeming to be sick in any other way.... teeth?

DH and I have a date for the theater (Tristan and Yseult) and dinner at what could be one of the best restaurants that I've ever, ever eaten at. I can't believe our first date was 7 years ago today Shock

Bring ~ how was date night? It sounds lovely. Hope you had a fun and much deserved night out! We were meant to be going on our first date tonight since bpear was born but my sister has had to cancel babysitting Hmm Another time maybe.

Frus ~ it must be really hard for you. I'm sure clingy koala will settle soon. Hang in there! Are you enjoying being an adult again (yourself) at work? Or are you just missing being a mummy? A friend told me this week that she's enjoying adult conversation and dressing up again back at work but I think her little one isn't clingy so it's not the same experience for her Hmm I must of tried at least 20 bottles in the end. He didn't want to know so I gave up. Luckily for me I can stay at home with him for longer and I enjoy bf so he's off the hook Wink Otherwise I'd be using the Doidy cups with difficulty. He can drink a little sip of water from them. He thinks it's a game. He doesn't know how to do it on his own yet because normally I give water in a free flow beaker. I never give him juices or bm in a beaker.

peardrop2 · 14/02/2014 10:18

Happy Valentine's day ladies! I brought bpear a heart helium balloon. He was thrilled when I gave it to him this morning Smile

I feel human again. He slept from 7pm to 5:30am and then 6-8am. Yay! I fed him at 5:30 because he was hysterical hungry. If only he could repeat that every night I would be ecstatic! I slept from 11-5:30 woohoo

I hope your DH's remembered a card today! Flowers would be pushing my luck Grin I'll give everyone some flowers myself ThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanks

kittykatsforever · 14/02/2014 12:54

Pear that's amazing!!!! What a great valentines gift! He's definatly ready to drop it/ go til later then, I'm sure he was starved by then, he did so well! What will you do if he wakes earlier again? Try not to feed him til a similar time? Hopefully he will just repeat this again, I bet you thought you'd had the best night!
Dh remembered and I got a card and chocs, we have the m &is meal for tonight Grin

peardrop2 · 14/02/2014 15:10

Thanks kitty. I was pretty happy when I woke up. Like bring said it's a nice surprise and shock when they sleep well isn't it! I think I'll try my best to encourage him to wait until 5ish for milk and hope that it gets later and later.

peardrop2 · 14/02/2014 15:15

Ofg. I get one minutes peace whilst bpear is in bed and I huddle on the couch under blankets only to be over looked by my hideous neighbour who is standing on his roof, raking in the rain and looking straight into me Shock

I know. Who rakes in the rain! My nutty neighbour that's who. Frus I forgot you worked with children Blush

Kitty we've gone for M&S tonight too. I wisely guided my DH what to buy though rather then leave him to it otherwise I would have got a random 3 course meal lol

peardrop2 · 14/02/2014 18:00

Aww so glad you gals have been having lovely V-days! Our date was ahhhmazing ! The show was hilarious and just really fun to watch and then dinner was SO GOOD. We've never had a bad meal there. Lots of yummy red wine (mamas got a headache this morning) but so much fun. M was not a happy girl that I wanted to put her back in her bed when I got home so we had a little girl in our bed and I got out of having to do anything, ahem, adult TG
