I love the fact that he had to clarify exactly what you'd fallen onto Hop :o

I got to sleep eventually, and the small stayed asleep also. His leggings have been posted, I will get pictures when they arrive :)

Eldest is on a sleepover tonight. Boys are asleep. I've had a Storage Wars marathon. There goes the neighbourhood...

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 21/02/2014 23:46

I've got a weird tingling sensation and weakness all down my arm, and the muscles in my neck and back are really stiff and painful. I've really broken myself.

mopsytop · 22/02/2014 18:06

How are you today hop? Hope you're a bit less sore.

We went into town today to buy new shoes for Minimopsy but her feet haven't grown so she can keep her current ones for at least another month, yay! Then we went to a birthday party and then to the animal farm at the park with her 2 best friends. Lovely afternoon but she had no nap and is very cross and tired now as a result!

Aethelfleda · 22/02/2014 19:19

Oh dear hop, sounds like you've irritated a nerve... Really hope it's a bit better today....

Lazy gardening day plus a monster trip to LIDL. Must have (relatively) quiet weekend time more often...

And now we're watching Clue. Very silly slapstick humour, and despite the comedy violence it's pretty DC suitable: there's no bad language apart from the odd OMG.... And the ending lead to me having a chat with DD1 about how homosexuality was illegal in the 1950s. We talk about all sorts of stuff in our household!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 22/02/2014 20:01

Hmmm. Not better today, actually think it's worse. Pain is all focussed above my elbow and I keep getting pins and needles and numbness/weakness in my arm and hand. Also it hurts like a bastard to drive. It's a really odd kind of pain, makes me feel sick more than anything else. I'm debating going to A&E tomorrow but don't know. If I have broken my bloody arm falling in the garden I will cry, that is a sure sign of imminent old age.

OiMissus · 22/02/2014 20:05

Oh hop - sympathies - whilst the slip sounded slapstick funny, I've had my share of muscle pain this year to understand that it is no fun at all. Hope it gets better soon
The Boi 's poops are still not solid. 2 weeks now. So a sample has been sent orf for poop analysis. He's still eating fine and happy, lively, in no pain, so I think we're ok. But his poor bottom does get sore. Hmm
Today I went to see the new patio door frames I want. The project is ON! Grin

mopsytop · 22/02/2014 20:06

Uhoh hop. Can you ring OoH doctor and describe symptoms/ask for advice? I don't blame you for waiting until tomorrow for A&E. Weekends are a nightmare there Sad Sad

OiMissus · 22/02/2014 20:08

X post - pins and needles may mean a trapped nerve. Tha may need a cryropracter. But if you think there may be breakage, may a trip to A&E may not be a bad idea. (Go now before the drunks arrive, and whilst the sportily-injured are about. Wink)

OiMissus · 22/02/2014 20:09

Cryro- what?!?

PartTimeProcrastinator · 22/02/2014 20:40

Waves at thread, thought i'd drop in! (Name change from BJR)

Am supposed to be putting together a portfolio for a job interview so seemed like a good time to go on mumsnet and eat chocolate.

All good here, finally managed to mostly kick our co-sleeping habit by getting DS into his own bed instead of a cot. He loves it but has made him extremely clingy in the day, but only for me. Feel like a constantly removing him from my leg at the moment.

Ouch Hop sounds painful, the description did make me laugh though!

Random question, Oi you said that Boi's poop hadn't been solid for two weeks, made me think. Is it weird that DS never has solid poos? Anyone elses DC like this?

Figster · 22/02/2014 21:25

PT welcome back how's things with your OH? DS pops are rock solid he's on movicol now to try and get him more regular.

Watching captain Phillips tonight very good!!! Hmm

TheOnlySeven · 22/02/2014 21:41

DD1's are soft when she's had too much dairy, she's lactose intolerant though. That sounds awful, I mean she's fine with small amounts but I can tell when she's had too much of it.

hop I'd definitely be off to A&E tomorrow.

OP posts:
mopsytop · 22/02/2014 21:43

Watching 'Moonrise Kingdom'. Fab!

PartTimeProcrastinator · 22/02/2014 22:35

Things with OH are good at the moment, thanks for asking Figster it's been so up and down but on the up at the moment, lots of changes have happened and seem to be sticking! We have a nice few days away booked in March when we're leaving DS with my parents which I think is very needed.

Hmm DS's poops are mostly like sludge sorry tmi! I only started thinking it was weird when I realised how horrid it made potty training accidents. He is still diary and soya free. I thought it was the prescription formula that made his poops weird but he's been off that for a couple of months and it hasn't made a difference.

Aethelfleda · 23/02/2014 06:18

hop, get ye to an A&E tomorrow dear, an "odd kind of pain that makes me feel a bit sick" is vey common in people who have a broken bone. It may be a little chip rather than anything major, but especially if it's combined wt a loss of function and lack of improvement, then you need an A&E checkover rather than a chiropracter. It does sound lile you really whacked it and we'd hate you to sit there with something actually bust :( .

Ps. 6am. dH tired. I am up with DS. I do Not do mornings....Unk.

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 23/02/2014 07:58

Arm hurts more and I couldn't get the lid off DS sippy cup this morning, so DH is going got drop me off at A&E and take DS swimming later. Feel like such a tit.

Glad things are looking up part

mopsytop · 23/02/2014 08:19

Oh dear hop, hope you don't have to wait too long and that they can fix you and ease the pain.

Figster · 23/02/2014 08:24

How come DS can sleep until after eight on the weekdays but barely past seven on the weekend? Is it Bred into them?

I've left him watching toy story two this morning while I sit and have a nice breakfast in the conservatory. I am a birding widow today DH is probably out to around eight I had bought a lot of paint some brushes and sponges to do some artisty stuff today but I'm just a bit worried at the damage he could do to the house how do you guys set up "art and craft time"?

Thinking mighty soft play later as a new one is opened five minutes from my house it's not as good as the others in the local area but it's a hell of a lot closer and is open until two.

Captain Phillips was good last five minutes Tom Hanks was exceptional today I expect I'll be mainly watching Ben and Holly or the Octonauts. DS is very selfish when it comes to television really need to start weaning him off that little bit more but I swear DH uses it as a babysitter because he doesn't know how to deal with him otherwise

Figster · 23/02/2014 08:24

Oh and hop good luck with the medical profession today I hope they take care of you

Aethelfleda · 23/02/2014 08:30

((((Hug)))) Hop, you're doing the right thing to get it looked at. Really hope there's no break but I have a suspicion there might be.... If you have bust somthing it will feel a lot better when it's immobilised. Good luck!

Figgy, I usually find the table with the most wipeable surface underneath (laminate/tiles) and put some newspaper on the table so whole lot can be binned afterward. If you use glitter it will cover the whole room for weeks afterwards. And either old clothes for DS or a painting apron. There are some very good ones out there (we've got Silly Billyz heavy duty craft aprons at ours with long arms) even the expensiveest ones are only about £10-12 which is much cheaper than replacing clothes!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 23/02/2014 11:50

Not broken. Soft tissue damage probably pressing on a nerve. Love the NHS, was in and out on half an hour including xray!

TheOnlySeven · 23/02/2014 13:29

Glad it's not broken hop, where on earth is this magical A&E where you can be in and out in half an hour though?! Would you be less embarrassed to know that on the day we moved house I slipped on the wet patio first thing in the morning and had to help move everything without the use of one arm because I couldn't move it. I wasn't able to get to A&E until the next day and I'd torn a ligament in my shoulder.

I'm finally suffering from the early pregnancy exhaustion, DD2 is super clingy and won't be put down, so much housework needs doing though

OP posts:
ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 23/02/2014 13:31

North Manchester, I really cantt praise them enough. The nice xray tech support even helped me do my bra up afterwards!

mopsytop · 23/02/2014 13:51

Glad it went well hop and hope it heals quickly!

OiMissus · 23/02/2014 13:54

Glad it's not broken.
And hurrah for bra help!
I made a list of all the house "To Do"s whilst DH was sat in his arse and I was washing/ironing/making lunches. He got the hint. I haven't seen him since!
