Nah, satsumas are worse. DD1 loves them but heaven forbid if we peel it for her.

boba I had a questionnaire to fill in, then they done her height and weight and just asked if I had any concerns. DD1 also has terrible concentration, she's always hyped up and never sits still, still struggles with 4 piece jigsaws because she gets so frustrated and has no patience Confused

mopsy excellent work by MrMopsy, and glad minim perked up a bit.

Told my parents about the pregnancy today. Their reaction wasn't great tbh :(

northern hope it's nice, we're having Chinese.

Pregnancy?! Congratulations:o

Bananas are fucking banned from my house. Pesky evil yellow bastards things. Smallspawn loves pears, 'appoos' and 'bawbries' right now. Pears and apples, relatively cheap, strawberries are not. Neither are raspberries or cherries which he also hoovers up with gay abandon. Thankfully 'gapes' aren't overpriced at the minute and he will trough those merrily too.

Day six of sertraline, and I still have the shakes. Hoping it wears off soon. The lack of appetite is welcome. The constant nausea is not.

Thanks for the heads up on the Vans hunting Boba. It may have to wait though, the Elderspawn is being eleven soon and I have a trip out to organise. Silly sociable spawns!

What is it with out-of-season fruits and small people? My lot dive on raspberries and Strawberries when we are out, and no amount of "but there's about six in the packet and they're £2!!!" will dissuade them... So I alternate between refusal and caving. And have planted some raspberry canes in the garden to see if we can grow some up against the fence.

(((((Hug))))) for seven, sorry your folks weren't cool. It's your family choice though, so they just have to mum up a bit and get used to it. Hope you are feeling less knackered now?

Grr for drug side effects kitten, I hope it wears in soon and you start to feel a bit better. At least the days are getting a little lighter now we're past midwinter...

Cherries give me rage. I spotted a punnet of maybe two or three hundred grams in Tesco for near on six pounds at one point last year. Six pounds!! Elderspawn lives for the end of cherry season as our local small fruit shop sells them dirt cheap, and she gets a couple of weeks of buying massive bags of cherries for about a pound. She even consents to share them sometimes:o

Bloody idiot child Angry

Today not sure maybe a mini day out if weather holds maybe nothing we still have monsters UNi to watch. Beef and ale pie in slow cooker tonight.

We have been up since ten to seven. So far played buggies, the squeaky eggs shape sorter thing, drawn lots of spiders (me)/squiggles (Minimopsy) on the blackboard, jigsaws and eaten breakfast (homemade cinnamon buns from the freezer ... used an American recipe and they're way too sweet so Mr. Mopsy and I only ate the top half (less sugary) but obvs Minimopsy LOVES them and ate most of hers. Later we will go down town to buy t-shirts for Minimopsy and tights for me (the excitement!) and B&Q for boring house bits. Then do some boring house bits. And I've a lecture to finish. So that sounds like rather a dull day actually!

I'm weaning off my venlafaxine so I can get pregnant this summer but it's messing with my head and ds and dh have decided to get colds so I don't get to feel sorry for myself just yet.
We had 2yr check at hospital because ds was early but they just wanted to know when he started walking, if he eats ok and watch him play and talk for a min then height, weight and head circumference and we are finally discharged!

Ds is just getting into toons and can sit through some films so rainy Sunday afternoons are now family film which is really nice

Boi can probably watch a film for about 20 mins before he'll be distracted by something else.
He's at football now. I'm resting.
I need to get up and get ready. I went out last night into Manchester. Got home sometime around 2.
The house needs some attention... I better make it look like I've made an effort before DH gets back!

Oh and I've done something to my knee. Just as my shoulder is better, I twanged my knee kneeling by Boi's bath yesterday morning. Confused
Later today we have the pleasure of some of DH's friends coming around. They are amongst the most annoying and ignorant people you could have the misfortune of meeting. They love Jeremy Kyle.
I'd better tidy up and see where my patience is hiding...

You need coffee Oi.

Lots and lots of coffee...

We are being lazy today. I have just chucked dinner in the slow cooker, bolognese for the win. Middlespawn is doing his homework and Elderspawn is in her room alternating between Percy Jackson books and tidying. I have no idea what Smallspawn is doing, but nobody is shouting so it's either good or disasterous...

Middlespawn has been faffing about with playing skylanders for about forty five minutes. I say playing. He just keeps changing the figures and squealing like a girl. I need a Brew

All of your meals sound delicious!

I have given up on cooking lately, must start getting back into it again! Are there any chicken recipes your children like? DS doesn't seem to eat much chicken, but loves anything with minced beef or tuna.

We've been to a local fish shop where they serve reasonably priced coffees and have a small soft play area. DS enjoyed feeding the koi carp and playing on the slides etc.!

Oh dear figgy :(

I had an eye test and bought new glasses today. TOTAL change from previous styles. Sort of squarish tortoiseshell-ish. I actually think they're fab but is a bug change. I thought they were pleasantly nerdy to suit my inner nerd but the shop lady insists they're mega of the moment and über cool... whatevs. I love 'em. Then I went AMS had a sneaky drink ON MY OWN ... yummy Belgian Duvel, which, to be frank, rather went to my head, given that I've rather given up on the booze since Christmas. It is rather strong. But I read Agatha Christie for an hour and really enjoyed my time off! Got home an hour ago, cooked Minimopsy an omelette and did the washing up while she had a major tantrum ... currently sitting on sofa watching peppa. I gave in for an easy lrfy Blush

Oh dear Figgy. Poor mr. Figgy, imagine not dtd for a week! You are horrid to him!
(Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha fucking ha! Men can be such imbeciles!)
Sorry about your back and forth day. Hmm
Our visiting imbeciles only stopped for an hour so we got off lightly. They are much more bearable since they had a baby. The baby is cute, and they are governed by having to be at home to feed her. (They feed her shop-bought baby mush, and carrying that, and a spoon, bib and bowl would be too much hassle.)
The mum just moaned and moaned about there not being any advice for new mums anywhere. At all. I told her (once again) about all the websites there are, that there are a million sources of info...
The world has it in for her. Her HV hates her, the midwife picked on her (none if them knew what they were doing at all...). Yawn.
Boi has been a delight just recently. He had a month or so of being a little sh1t, where the tantrums, hitting and crying just seemed relentless, but he seems to have given it up. Maybe he did listen to me when we had a conversation about how nice it is when we are all happy...?
He's not given it up entirely, of course, but the only tears I've seen today were when he didn't want to go to bed. GrinGrinGrin
We've taken the side off his cot. We may regret it. But as long as "Elvis" (DH) tells him that he has to stay in bed, because Fireman Sam stays in his bed, then he can grow up to be a big, strong fireman. Grin
DH has a sore throat from all the Elvis impersonating. He he he!

I just got new glasses Oi. Are you saying that, basically, you just need to be me? har har

My non drinking turned into one duvel, get home, put Minimopsy to bed, then immediately made a cocktail (Corpse reviver 2... equal parts gin, Cointreau, white vermouth, lemon juice plus hint of absinthe ... yes please). Willpower 0 - booze 1. ... hmm

Oi let us know how the bed goes. We are debating it here, but he's still unable to climb out of his cot so... not yet.

mopsy that sounds lovely.

My planned week off work, spending quality time with DS is going slightly awry, I've got to take him to his 2 year check on one day, and now the inlaws are threatening to come up that week! Argh! NO!

OK, need some input. I'm seriously debating... buying a bike and cycling to work. It's 6 miles and fairly hilly, so I'd need to do some practising before hand. But I just can't motivate myself to do any exercise in the evening, and this way I'd be biking 12 miles, three times a week, and that's got to be enough, right? Plan is to get DH's bike out of the shed (and put back together) and have a go on that first. I'm spending the better part of £100 a month on commuting, so really would only need to do it for one full month to have paid for an OK bike. And this way we can do family bike trips (with a child seat). Is this really stupid? 6 miles, twice a day, three times a week, is quite far.

Ooh, did you have a good night out Oi? Do tell- I only get the vicarious pleasure of others going on the town, so all details welcome Grin Hope you got something done to the house before your DH landed.

Sorry your day was so crap figgy, you're really bearing the brunt of the crappy weather down in the SW. Nothing wrong with looking forward to work as a break from family/partners/children/home sometimes!

I second the curry and pasta bake ideas Chip, it's how DS eats chicken. For us it's ham that he's not too fond of.

We've had a decent day, though I've ended up having two naps, as I didn't get my lie-in this morning and both DH and I have been under the weather. Wandered into town to get butties, put together the tallboy for the bathroom (and I'm going to scuttle upstairs and get that sorted, so that's another room unpacked Smile). Went up to the Heath, DS had a good splash in puddles, then went for a swift half at the pub on the way home. My 'rents have been spoken to, DP's just about to speak to his, then it's a ready meal for dinner tonight- been doing pretty well managing without a cooker, what with all the cooking for the freezer we did.

DS has had his bath, and I can just hear him flopping about in his cot and chucking the books out, generally a sign he's getting ready to pass out...
