Grr vq

We have had an epic parent fail.

O squeaked in the night but went back to sleep.

So DH goes in this morning And he has been sick. No sick on him. He has scooted away from it to the other end of the bed!

I can' tiger out of bed too cold. But have so much to do today as is only ONE SLEEP!

PetiteRaleuse · 16/02/2014 08:22

Only one more sleep for me too.

Passmethecrisps · 16/02/2014 08:34

Raar!

PetiteRaleuse · 16/02/2014 08:38

:o

ValiumQueen · 16/02/2014 08:42

Raar! O was very good to not get it on him, and to move down the other end. I hope it was just a burp went wrong, and not a bug.

PR did you get any sleep?

Passmethecrisps · 16/02/2014 08:47

Glorious day here. We are just about to take little miss mountaineer off to the park.

Other plans for today? pr do you and DH have a nice evening planned?

applepieinthesky · 16/02/2014 08:49

That's a shame chasing. Was looking forward to hearing about it.

pr how are you feeling about it today?

DP and I went to the cinema yesterday but can't tell you what Robocop was like because I fell asleep Blush The Mexican restaurant we went to after was lovely though. Great food and enjoyed having a few baby free hours.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/02/2014 08:53

I thought tigering out of bed was worth keeping!

He seems ok in himself and no temp. His molar is coming through, about 1/4 of it is there, so am thinking it may be that and the excessive saliva it can cause, though his nappies are vile too. Him and DS1 had the same for tea last night and DS1 is fine.

They have trooped off out anyway so hopefully he doesn't puke at the Kitchen Cafe.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/02/2014 08:57

Ds1 this morning;

"I can't find my story book"him
" what does it look like"me
"Well.........its a rectangle"him

Ok thanks. That gives me loads to go on!

Evilwater · 16/02/2014 09:19

Hopefully N is napping, and I'll try and do some painting this morning.
We are nice and dry, but the roads are absolutely full of pot holes.

No talking here, plenty of babbling.

Right off for a cuppa,
Evil

PetiteRaleuse · 16/02/2014 09:25

About four hours sleep so not bad.

Feeling stressed and shouty but that may work in my favour tomorrow. Not that I'll shout.

ValiumQueen · 16/02/2014 09:30

I am glad you got some sleep PR x

wellieboots · 16/02/2014 10:57

please go to sleep small child! I love you and everything but it is nearly 10pm. Note to self - do not in future send DH to resettle during nap when it's after 2pm just so we can finish DTD! Epic failure - well, the DTD was great, but not worth the crappest bedtime in yonks! Sorry, TMI, as you were...

Donnadoon · 16/02/2014 12:13

wellie Grin

Evilwater · 16/02/2014 12:27

Well that was..... Embarssesing. Blush
n handed my his new shoes, so we went out. The moment we passed the car, which is just parked outside the flat, he has a major tantrum. Sad
I mean everything, sitting down, tears, snott, the high pitched scream of no. I got him to walk down to the end of the road, and back again. Confused

He's in bed now, exhausted from all that noise.

TheDetective · 16/02/2014 13:31

I have been sooooooooooooo ill! Envy

DS1 was ill wednesday/thursday. Seems by friday overnight I had caught it, as I was tossing and turning, hallucinating all night long. I was sweating buckets, and the minute I lifted my head off the pillow I thought it might explode. DP crept upstairs just as O let out his first cry of the morning, and I just wanted to cry. DP sleeps downstairs fri nights, so as to not wake me/O on saturday mornings. He asked me if I wanted him to stay off work. Like a knobhead, I said no, go in. Feeling embarrassed at needing someone to look after me.

Biggest mistake ever. I ended up getting DS1 up, to take O downstairs while I lay waiting for pain killers to work they didn't sweating past myself. It was 2 hours before I could go downstairs. DS1 had to do O's nappy, and give him breakfast. Blush

O was pretty quiet most of the day, so think he might be under the weather too. I gave calpol just in case.

Feeling slightly better today, but can't face much in the way of healthy food. My body is craving stodge Blush. Didn't eat at all yesterday.

Anyway, if anyone needs to lose a few lb, come on over. I lost 4lb in 24 hours just sweating Grin. Urrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhh. I now weigh 12st 5. Another 2.5lb and I will have lost 4 stone. Realistically, I'll probably put that 4lb back on once I'm well again. Damn it!

Off to catch up on almost a week - been on nights then ill, so life has stopped.

Am off work this week. So of course I am ill. I'm only ever ill when off!!!

TheDetective · 16/02/2014 14:07

Well, I've forgotten everything I've read... except squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! YW's upduffed! Woohooo!!!

Congratulations!! And that sounds like a good plan. Your LMP date is what they will go by anyway, so you will likely end up with 2 scans! I'd get that appointment booked now Grin. Booking in here is any time. I booked at 5 weeks Grin Grin Grin.

TheDetective · 16/02/2014 14:10

I'm wondering if I should get O seen by the HV. He doesn't understand things. He doesn't point, or make himself understood. He doesn't know to get his shoes, his book, his coat, or anything else.

He knows 3 instructions. Clap hands, wave bye bye, and stamp your feet. That's it.

As everyone says as long as they are understanding... but O doesn't! He doesn't understand any of the things your LO's do. :(

I feel sick with worry.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/02/2014 15:43

He's probably fine Detective . Understanding those three instructions is fine. He'll get to pointing in his own good time. Milestones are not set in stone. They are more malleable. Mile-playdoh-models.

Glad you are better. Stop worrying.

I have the countdown theme music going over and over in my head. Not the end bit, the first twenty seconds or so. It won't go away.

TheDetective · 16/02/2014 15:59

Playdoh. Playdoh. Playdoh.

applepieinthesky · 16/02/2014 16:15

det when it comes to being 'normal' there is a huge range. I wouldn't really wouldn't worry about it at this stage.

YellowWellies · 16/02/2014 16:32

Det Jonas is 16 months (15 adjusted she adds to reassure herself!!!!) and still not walking independently! He's not trailblazed in any area - he can follow some basic instructions, can do some cool fine motor stuff like shape sorting and tower building, his language is so-so he has maybe 15 words but he can't walk and looks like a 12 month old (he's still not 20 lb!). Your O was such a trailblazer in terms of his gross motor skills I'd be surprised if he was equally advanced in all areas - please don't worry. Looking at vids of him you've posted - he's all there!

Lily311 · 16/02/2014 17:51

Agree with yw, det he probably is fine. O does not point at all but understands nearly everything and listens to instructions. But as far as gross motor skills, she was behind at crawling, walking, turning, etc. they all develop differently.

PurplePidjin · 16/02/2014 17:58

R's best little buddy (3 weeks younger) says all sorts of words - loads of animal noises, uh oh, good girl, etc. R has none of those. He's walking, she's still only just there needing two hands to hold. She pointed at about 6 months, he's only just started and still prefers the whole hand reach. They're both well within normal range, just learning the same things in a different order. O is so very advanced with his physical stuff he's most likely just not got to verbal stuff yet Thanks

ValiumQueen · 16/02/2014 18:08

Det O is fine.
