My own cats use the garden as a toilet already Angry I shouldnt need to do sodding poo patrol for cats should I?

If dd has decided her bfing days are over, mrsbug, at least she decided on her own. 16 months is a good run. Dan is likely to drop to one morning feed soon I suspect.

Constant babble is what we have too. We hwve recognisable sounds for bf, cat, sheep, duck, mum, dad. Not words, just sounds.

OohQuack · 07/05/2014 23:36

With the rear facing is there room for longer legs? They looked scruched up at the min.

With boob feeding if I put him on the pillow he'll slap my chest ... polite to the point... but if I didnt sit him on the pillow I dont think h he'd ask for it. If he stopped now would I have to up his milk and calcium foods or what?

glorious · 08/05/2014 07:28

The sandpit has a lid which is kept on all the time unless E is actually in it. Otherwise the cats would be delighted! maybe it'd keep them off my flowerbeds

The erf seats do have more legroom than the baby seats. It varies between them too, and one of the reasons we got a BeSafe one was they have more than most.

glorious · 08/05/2014 07:30

Slightly jealous of all these babies limiting feeds. When I'm at home E is a total milk monster, plus overnight. I still can't go out in the evening Sad

Lostbobbles · 08/05/2014 07:49

Creepy - Love that little cardi, well done your nan, great knitting.

OhQuack - Re extra calcium, Lo just has two beakers of milk a day --sometimes one in the afternoon if she is teething and off food. Can always just give some cheese , yogurt etc as a snack.

Who mentioned SAND, just hearing that work freaks me out. It's my second worst phobia after wasps my kids have little hope
I did however allow playdoh out yesterday and am now fine with mixing colours i just throw it out after

BubbaApps - Both mine went through hating bath stage, didn't last long. Have you tried blowing bubbles in the bath, Lo asks as soon as she gets in now.

DD1 missing school trip today, school won't allow her back for 48 hours. Although it's outside so at least she is saved from the rain.

Polyethyl · 08/05/2014 07:58

I've just got an axkid ERF seat. It fits into my ford fiesta! And baby has leg room.

And regarding breastfeeding - my mother, husband and childminder have all asked me to stop. Baby is so demanding and throws such tantrums when I say no - that I'm dreading weaning her. She turns on the tears and looks so woeful and betrayed when I try to distract her from my chest.

JuniperTisane · 08/05/2014 09:15

Tell 'em all to sod off then Poly. Tell them it up to her and its up to you and nobody else when you choose to finish.

I don't mind sand. We have an old butler sink full in the garden which we keep a lid on to stop the cats and the boys do like driving cars and diggers through it mainly. I really hate playdough though. Luckily DS1 isn't keen either and Dan prefers to stack the tubs than play with the actual dough.

I do love the Aquadoodle. No mess and he doesn't try to eat the water pen either.

I'm watching him stack shoes right now. Happy boy.

mrsbug · 08/05/2014 09:16

Poly sounds like we have the opposite problem. However you only need to stop if you or dd want to, ignore everyone else!

plenty of room for dd's legs in her new car seat although she has short little legs like her mum

lost i am with you on the wasps, going to try really hard not to pass my phobia onto dd but i turn into a screaming wreck when they come near me!

mrsbug · 08/05/2014 09:18

X posted with juniper. We have the aquadoodle too and dd tries to suck the water out of the pen!

JuniperTisane · 08/05/2014 09:22

Dan did do that, and eating crayons too, but he seems to have twigged its more fun to drink from his cup and attempt to scribble with the pen.

BuntyCollocks · 08/05/2014 13:16

Agree with jupiter, poly - tell 'em to fuck off. I'm still sad C has stopped. She'll ocassionally latch on if I'm bare chested and she's near, like if I'm drying my hair or in bed, but she has two sucks and then pulls a face (there is still a little milk there but it's definitely weaning milk, v v salty and not a lot).

lost oooh good idea :) she loves blowing bubbles, will try that tomorrow. Is probably just a phase. She started doing it when dp put her and dd1 in together but she gets upset when he does the bedtime routine anyway. She is clingy with me and no one else will do at the moment.

poly its up to you and your lo when you stop. Its such a short time soif your not ready to stop, don't.

Ivy got an aquadoodle for xmas and loves it. Haven't tried her with the playdoh yet but i love it! The smell is lovely :) Though it does get stuck in the carpet which drives me crackers!

OohQuack · 08/05/2014 21:17

I bought a tomy mega doodle just to provide the need for drawings till I can trust him. I let him use chalks aswell outside and inside on the chalkboards ive made. I considered aquadoodle maybe for at his nans ;)

OohQuack · 09/05/2014 17:37

It took ten mins of chasing to get this craply composed photo of him with half his certificate for 8 tiny talk signs. Im sat hear under a pile of toys that he's dumped on and around me. I can't and darent move. He has too much energy...HELP

JuniperTisane · 09/05/2014 18:41

I wore mine out at the local farm park today. He had no interest in the animals, of course, except the rather grumpy cow he kept poking. She gave him an 'F-off' look and I don't blame her. He thoroughly enjoyed the tractor ride saying Rrrrmmmm-Rrrmmmmm all the way round. When he saw some big tyres being used as planters he said Rrrmmm-Rrrmmm at them too. I guess I've lost another boy to racing...

LetThereBeCupcakes · 10/05/2014 07:27

Juniper I think it's hard wired into them. DS is car-mad, too. Though he's also shoe mad (to the extent that he shop-lifted a pair of crocs at the weekend, running off with them squealing "Shoooooooes! Shoooooooes!" at the top of his voice).

Nursery is just introduction Makaton so we're getting sheets sent home with a new sign every couple of weeks. This week it was "thank you". DS' god mother uses Makaton in her work so she's been giving us some lessons too. Hopefully DS will take to it.

Poly I'm also being put under a lot of pressure to stop BFing. Since he can't have dairy and doesn't like the prescription formula I don't really understand what people expect me to do!

DH has taken DS out for the morning so I've got lots of jobs planned. I am currently messing around on here and not doing anything useful...

lollipoppi · 10/05/2014 08:11

Cupcakes that made me chuckle, I can just picture him doing it, shooeesss shoooeeeesss Grin
Sounds like a perfect morning, sod the jobs, get a cuppa and relax

there is a park and canal just at the back of our house so we go there quite often to feed the ducks, the past 3 days when I've drove past it DD starts quacking in her car seat, so she recognises that's where the ducks are, either that or she actually thinks she's a duck Smile

LetThereBeCupcakes · 10/05/2014 10:22

lolli I like doing the jobs to be honest. I'm not very good at sitting around relaxing! So far I've walked the dogs, fed the rabbits and birds, cleaned out the gerbil, scrubbed the kitchen floor, baked some cupcakes, washed up and tidied up DS' room. 10 minute sit down then on with the jobs.

lollipoppi · 10/05/2014 14:02

I'm the same cupcakes, I've just been sorting out all my clothes, I've got 3 bin bags full of stuff so I'm going to take them down to the local women's refuge in a mo
right after I finish my fish finger butty yummmyyyyyy

LetThereBeCupcakes · 10/05/2014 15:47

Argh! DH has brought DS back and hasn't changed his nappy ALL DAY. It was dirty and dried on him and it took me ages to clean him up. He has such a sore bottom it's actually bleeding a bit Sad.

Surely it's not that hard to remember to change a nappy FFS. Angry

OohQuack · 10/05/2014 20:37

Oh no cupcakes, the poor lil soul :-( he deserves some nappy free defecate the carpet time poor guy. Hope you gave him a few choice words.

lollipoppi · 11/05/2014 11:48

Oh dear cupcakes, I honestly think it doesn't cross their mind to do practical things, like changing a nappy or in DPs case not giving DD a drink all day Shock

lollipoppi · 12/05/2014 12:24

I had to show you guys this .......

Jan 2013: hooray for tits!
Tugstonia · 12/05/2014 12:47

Hi ladies

I've been MIA for aaaaaages so just catching up. Been embroiled in house selling/buying bullshit but it's all fallen through now so that was a nice waste of 3 months and about £3K Angry. Ho hum, obv wasn't meant to be...

How are you all? Salt how are you doing? Been thinking of you and Floss. What a scare you had with her as well, do hope she is all better now. Flowers

DD is chatting a lot and starting to move a bit more now too - pulling herself up on everything and cruising and actually she stood on her own the other day for a few seconds before she realised and cried! She's doing a lot of falling over too usually flat on her face. Anyone else's LO not walking yet?

Glorious how is sleep? and how's the new job?

We're off on hols on Thursday - first time for DD on a plane! It's a short flight though. Can't wait to get away and not think about mortgages and estate agents for a few days.

Hope everyone's doing well :)

TooManyBubbas · 12/05/2014 14:32

lost tried blowing bubbles and it helped distract her so she still wasn't happy but not as upset IYSWIM so thank you Flowers

lolli did you do that?! Wow, am useless with hair!

tugs i know several people whose los didn't walk til 18 months. Holiday sounda good, where are you going?

cupcakes your poor lo :( Its almost like they miss all the little details that we do without a second thought!

Ivy is very busy today. Shes got the old happyland farm out and is brumming some firemen over to play with animals Grin
