YW It is number 43. My old flat of the same street name was 243!

TheDetective · 23/01/2014 20:43

Eeeek. Too much to catch up on!

Lily I am DELIGHTED!!!! Really, I can't believe it had to go that far. Yay for sense prevailing!

Isles Well done! Wine and Cake tonight?!

VQ Arseholes. Utter arseholes. I think you will make a kick ass union rep though. Good plan! Oh, and I have similar discussions with DP. They think we tell them these things for fun. Idiots. Hmm

Calpol - same here. We are also having a respite at the moment, however we went through months of nightly dosings. Or giving it at wake ups if we hadn't given it at bedtime Hmm. He had his MMR on tuesday, so I am awaiting the nightly calpol resuming. He was quite funny with the jabs though! I was expecting him to fling himself all over the place. I held him down, and the nurse did the first jab. He was almost frozen in place, screamed mega loud, the same for each injection. As soon as the nurse moved away, he stopped. Instantly. Not even tears! Just proper angry WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING screams! He was fine, he walked out the room with me. We are now awaiting day 6....!

Sitting still - just no. Absolutely not. He only sits still to watch a bit of waybuloo or in the night garden. At playgroups he just wanders about all over the place. He's just moved up from the baby group where we sat down in a circle singing, now we stand up and do the actions and singing in a big circle. Kids are in the middle, not O, oh no. He's doing everything he shouldn't be. He's particularly attracted to the door, buggy wheels, banging the radiators and trying to turn the knob up and down on them Hmm, the music system volume Hmm, ferreting in the bags which contain toys/instruments etc, stealing juice cups from bags, plug sockets. Yesterday he went across the other side of the room from where I was stood in the circle, dug through all of the bags, and plucked his giraffe one out, and toddled back over holding it out for me with a big grin on his face. Meanwhile I'm doing some sort of gym sesh to the sounds of the hokey cokey. Hmm Hmm Hmm

Lily Blush I like to talk Grin. See above Grin.

My news is, I haz new car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEK! We finally found one in budget. DP applied for the finance, and we got it. I am so so so so excited! It's a C Max. I just hope I don't write it off like last time!. Think I've managed to sort a private sale of my car also. Yay!

YellowWellies · 23/01/2014 20:47

Isles the solicitor said if you've mutually agreed one partner is to be a SAHP then mortgage payments are assumed to be divided as 50:50 between partners as SAHP counts as a full time job in the eyes of the courts?

Wooo good luck with the Mooring's viewing - it looks lovely. Hope you're feeling ok about everything. It sounds as though you are in a really good place with your career and getting financial security. You should be v proud of yourself - you've moved mountains since M was born!

Calpol, anbesol, the lucky sleeping through inducing sleeping bag - I get so 'superstitious' about going to bed lucky charms!

YellowWellies · 23/01/2014 20:50

PR is the link unproven? My niece's paed was the one who mentioned it - hence I assumed it was credible. Shock

StormyIsles · 23/01/2014 20:51

YW I'll pm you x

PetiteRaleuse · 23/01/2014 20:54

It is a theoretical concern but yes, unproven. Like so many links between drugs/jabs. I'll try and find a link.

ChasingDaisy · 23/01/2014 20:59

Det we are two weeks post MMR and so far no side effects, bar one unsettled night Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 23/01/2014 20:59

DH has asthma, there is quite a bit in my family. That plus the kids being so prone to lung issues (last year anyway) I asked my paed. She shrugged it off with a bof

YellowWellies · 23/01/2014 21:07

Thanks PR and thanks for the PM Isles - am loving the quiche what a bunch of women in the know! Smile

Passmethecrisps · 23/01/2014 21:12

vq since Christmas p has has weird peaks of temp. She will be 100% then suddenly it will rocket. That has been on and off. Yesterday it was 39.5 at the CM and higher when DH got her home. She was right as rain by the time I got home. She was a bit mumpy today - crying hard for a minute or so for no obvious reason but no temp.

ValiumQueen · 23/01/2014 21:25

Pass I was just wondering as my GP said it can happen a couple of weeks before the pox. As it has happened a few times, I guess it is just one of those many things that makes P so special Smile

ValiumQueen · 23/01/2014 21:28

I am off tomorrow. Have Annual Leave to care for J. I hope he sleeps all day as I am so tired I could sleep standing up.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/01/2014 21:34

DH is off tomorrow. We are going to spend the day watching films and shagging

BigPigLittlePig · 23/01/2014 21:37

Evening ladies.

Lily what fab fab news! I was beaming when I read that, I really was. At last someone with a bit of common sense. L would have been v proud of the battle you have fought.

Good news on aging pussy by the sounds of things Pass. Hope she picks up soon.

PR that poo story was pretty grim. Have had similar with pussypig when he ate a shoe lace. Urgh.

Det glad you have sorted the car. Exciting!

Isles well done you clever clogs. Is that it for exams now, or are you plagued with them like me!?

Sitting still. Ha. Well, when I picked F up tonight, I could see throuh the glass that she was sat on a teeny little wooden chair, swinging her legs back and forth and stroking the arms (new fave thing to do in manner of elderly person) - then she saw me, jumped up like she'dbeen stung, grabbed the nearest toy and RAN! The only time she sits still is for bedtime stories.

I moved her room round this evening to accomodate an awesome bookshelf my brother made for Christmas. She is vair confused by this! Shall put piccy on fb so you can admire my dbs handiwork, I was v Shock and [proud].

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/01/2014 21:46

Thanks stunt. You speak a lot of sense, as always!

Congrats on the exam pass isles.

DD1 doesn't sit still ever. I was forever grabbing her back whenever we went to any playrgoups/sing and sign/baby ballet to the point where it was just bloody embarrassing. We'd go on picnics with babies/kids the same age and they'd be sitting nicely eating and she'd be legging it as fast as she could to the nearest lake/road/bit of dog shit. She doesn't bolt now and nursery have really helped encourage her to get engaged in something and see it through rather than just run around like a nutter which she still does, lots. E is much calmer and will happily sit for ages emptying boxes/playing with books and even sit on the sofa next to me just having cuddles. But it really isn't all bad having a child that won't sit still. DD1 is very inquisitive and independent which gives me hope that she'll be able to take good care of herself in the future.

TheDetective · 23/01/2014 21:51

Yes, O is confident, DS1 would sit back for the first 10 minutes, then get involved. O will probably be a naughty ring leader of all things mischief Hmm.

He's definitely not people shy anyway...

We are having progress on the walking front. I parked outside debenhams today. Went in for my mascara. Had a little luck at the clothes. He wasn't as bad as the Asda trip we had Hmm. He was amazed at the escalator. I took him up and down on it, he was super good on them!

TheDetective · 23/01/2014 21:51

Luck?! Look I mean! Grin

Evilwater · 23/01/2014 21:52

N is NEVER still, not even to change a nappy! Sad

Please note:
The bbc news website have a link to the new legue tables for Schools. My local ones aren't to bad, all around 80-90% for level 4 or above. Ohhhh.

So who's got the best school?
Evil

YellowWellies · 23/01/2014 21:59

Pass temperature spikes are the v weakest CMPI reaction - is it linked to days she has dairy?

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/01/2014 22:08

Evil The local school I want DD1 (and E of course) to go to has between 96%-100% for between 2010 and 2013. I can't really believe it has 100%. It's a grammer though so of course she'll have to pass 11+ first. I am very lucky where I live though as there are a lot of good schools around so even if she doesn't pass the 11+ there are still plenty of good schools she can go to.

YellowWellies · 23/01/2014 22:17

Pass teaches at J's secondary school. Wink beat that! Smile

BigPigLittlePig · 23/01/2014 22:22

Thanks to my job, chances are I will be in a totally different area of the country by the time 2ry schools come around. Shame f won't go to the same I went to - a grammar school which was really v exceptional. I had a great time there.

applepieinthesky · 23/01/2014 22:27

The state primary literally a few yards from our front door is 82% at level four and above. The next one nearest to us is 93%

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/01/2014 22:29

I hated school. Every second of it. I hope my girls have a happy time at school. If that means getting lower grades than expected then so be it as long as they don't become complete flunks. I want them to look back at their school years and say yes, I had a great time and made great friends for life. I can do neither of these things.
