lazzaroo · 07/11/2013 21:06

That's good to know spotty, I ordered those a while ago for baby lazza's bday Smile

FriendofDorothy · 07/11/2013 22:25

I bought some of those from an NCT sale for £2. Bargain!

halestone · 07/11/2013 23:19

Me and DP got an unexpected night to ourselves so went out for a meal and to the cinema. We watched Bad Grandpa we literally cried laughing. T'is very crude though but hilarious. I'm off now to enjoy a sleep which i'll wake naturally fromGrin

That looks great spotty

Yay to all the chatty and walking babies. R says dad and mum (when I'm not around). He is so cute and affectionate, I tend to use speaker phone so he can join in and he'll kiss the phone when I say ' say hello to granny'

Can't wait for 5pm! Work is ok, but best part of my day is picking up R. YHoping his diarrhoea has finally gone. Dr suggested removing dairy from his diet for a few weeks

utopian99 · 08/11/2013 02:43

Hello and hurrah for R's steps pidj, and all the chatty babies. Despite tearing about like a mad thing these days O still has nothing I'd call words - lots of yaya/heya/baba etc but nothing else. He does have a very cute way of going 'hmm' to himself When examining something interesting though (like my hairbrush) Hmm

We went to pick something up just before his normal supper/bed time and got a spectacular flat tyre so didn't get home till almost 9pm; the poor little man has therefore had only biscuits for supper as he was way too tired for anything but boob when we got back. Have just given him more as normally he doesn't go for milk in the night but I think today is a bit abnormal.

spotty I was thinking of those sound blocks - good to know they go down well. Also brio's magnetic stacking blocks, might treat the nursery to a lovely toy chest for christmas if I can find somerhing old to paint..

utopian99 · 08/11/2013 02:46

Also your night out sounds great hales, my bro has offered baby sitting in a couple of weeks and we are very excited!

Lovely photo mrsnut! Looking forward to a few pro ones too when you get them - did mininut have a good day too?

SpottyTeacakes · 08/11/2013 06:55

We have clapping! Grin

Barbeasty · 08/11/2013 08:18

Welk done all the clever babies, and congratulations MrsNutella

When I put DD to bed last night she called me back so she could tell me something. She made me sit down, then whispered "Mummy, I want another Anthony."

Not happening! But I did tell her how happy it made me that she likes him enough to want another. And then we discussed where another one could go and that there weren't enough highchairs.

And the smile on A's face when he saw her this morning why were they both up at 5am was lovely. Long may it last!

WLmum · 08/11/2013 10:13

That's lovely beasty. Dd1 wanted to give dd2 away to the pirates for such a long time but they both love T and I have had quite a few conversations with dd1 where she's said 'if we have another baby...' And I've said 'there won't be any more babies'! This has obviously led to an awkward line of questioning about how can I be sure there won't be anymore!

WLmum · 08/11/2013 10:14

Torrential rain here so I'm just feeding T to a stupor then going to attempt a nap in her cot for just about the first time ever!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 08/11/2013 10:51

I'm off to ikea! I'm so excited after being in isolation with the sickly bambino for 6 days! Wahoo! I've even invited a baby group friend and we're making a day of it with a trip to a play barn place.

Congrats on the walkers, J's sti to scared to let go. He can stand unsupported and will let go though. Yay for clapping too spotty

WLmum · 08/11/2013 12:03

Fab willyou so glad he's well enough to venture out.
T has been asleep for 1.5 hours so far! At this rate I'm going to have to wake her up for lunch before dd2s gym class.

MrsNutella · 08/11/2013 14:29

Utopian mininut is a total people person (thank goodness) and was quite happy playing and being passed around for cuddles (mostly amongst my family who were all really excited to see him). Yes I'm really looking forward to some pro pics! But it'll be a little while yet.
We also had a photo booth, the results of which I can't wait to see!

Someone asked where we had the wedding - it was here in Germany. The venue was stunning and I'm so glad we chose it.

Spotty those blocks look really cool! I fancy getting something musical for DS I just hope it won't drive me insane

MrsNutella · 08/11/2013 14:30

And thank you everyone for the congratulations!!!

WLmum · 08/11/2013 19:34

Looks like we're heading into one nap a day territory. After. Lovely 2 hours late morning she hasn't been back to sleep. Has mostly been fine, bit whingey here and there and quite Velcro but that's quite normal. Challenge is going to be finding a good time slot to avoid preschool and school pick ups. Ah well at least being winter(ish) she'll be snuggled up in the pram with the rain cover on so might not get disturbed be preschool kicking out.

WLmum · 08/11/2013 19:34

Mission for tonight is to knit the first mummy kangaroo a second back leg!

IsThatTrue · 08/11/2013 20:17

Ds2 took his first steps today, 5/6 steps a few times. He was delighted with himself. Predictably he did it while DH is away in India :(

Congratulations on walking/clapping/talking babies.

And congratulations to mrsnutella and your DH! :)

We just went to a fireworks display and DS liked it for a while, then moaned on and off when the bangs were a bit loud. Thankfully we could go into the hall and get away from it while leaving the big kids to watch.

halestone · 08/11/2013 22:32

Yay congratulations baby IsthatThanks

Also congratulations baby pidj Thanks

WL i'm dreading H dropping a nap.

Willyou hope you had a lovely time at Ikea.

Utopian i hope you and DP enjoy your night out when your brother babysits.

H got dead excited today as my niece came home for a visit. When H is excited to see someone now she covers her mouth and cries. Its so cute.

Knitting mission accomplished!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/11/2013 00:00

Warning don't get slightly pissed and look at newborn baby pictures while snuggling your now big baby. May result in a small amount of tearing up!

My mum and dad have had J for a couple of hours. They got him to sleep at 11 (it's never any later than 8:30 for us), he's just got back up. Please god don't let this be the pattern for the night Confused

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/11/2013 00:00

Congrats on walking baby IsThat

Barbeasty · 09/11/2013 07:21

Hope you got some sleep Willyou

A was wide awake just after 5, and I was downstairs with both DC just before 6.

My brother and his wife are coming this morning to see what they want from our baby stuff. Still haven't found the girl clothes (they haven't said what they're having).

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/11/2013 16:06

A little thanks Beasty.

I'm having a rant here as if I don't I'll start an argument on fb. I've been going to the same baby group twice a week all year. They've organised a Christmas party and have put the details on fb yesterday saying that tickets will go on sale next week. A second message has gone on today saying that it's pretty much full now Angry I asked WTF as obviously they said tickets would be on sale next week. And she said yes but some people have messaged me to say that they can't come to the sessions this week so I've reserved their tickets. So now there's hardly any left but these people are guaranteed one. Its really irritated me. Bastards!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/11/2013 17:16

I'm so cross. I've just had two complete nobs deliver my food shopping. They thought it was hilarious they were nearly an hour late and were so bloody rude.
