Argh not the best night. Dd wet the bed so ended up in with us the she wet the bed IN OUR BED! I thought it was me to start with BlushShock I just don't understand. She only ever seems to do it when she's coming down with something but she's just got over slapped cheek!

I've got a friend who's moaning on fb that her 4.5 month old is only going 3.5 hours over night. It makes me Angry he's a baby fgs it's what they do plus I never put ranty statuses on fb when ds woke two hourly until he was seven months plus she's weaning him when he can barely hold his head up (obviously I keep my opinions to myself hence the moan on here!)

SpottyTeacakes · 07/11/2013 07:23

WL the vtech toot toot cars are down to £9.98 Smile

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/11/2013 07:59

Congratulations Nutella, yy to photos!

Sorry to hear about DP's nan Spotty, is it his grandad's wife or from the other side?

Sorry about shite sleep Utopian and Lazza, glad your DP is coming home Lazza, hopefully you'll be able to come up with a plan. Every time I get to the end of my tether I consider cc Utopian and then I realise I'm way too soft and end up cuddling to sleep again.

DS had weed out of his nappy down his leg at 5am so I had to do a whole body change. Thankfully he went back down in my bed. We're getting loads more leaks now as I can't put the nappy on him properly and check it before he's off.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/11/2013 08:02

Ha I've got one of those on my fb Spotty. Her DS is 5 weeks and she was complaining that "bedtime" takes ages. Surely there's no such thing as "bedtime" at 5 weeks, they just feed and sleep all day and night. She's trying to get him on a Gina schedule and is putting him in his own room at night and expecting him to stay there.

PurplePidjin · 07/11/2013 08:30

Nutella Thanks

I cc'd, but if he was trying to sleep i stayed and held his hand. Actual howling means he needs something, shouting or moaning just means I Don't Want To. I don't push it if he's actually crying, i solve the problem

Daddy got first steps this morning Envy:o:o:o

SpottyTeacakes · 07/11/2013 08:34

It's his nan on the other side (his last grandparent). I still have all my grandparents. Poor dp

MrsNutella · 07/11/2013 08:41

Utopian & Lazza I'm still cuddling to sleep. We did try a bit of sleep training a few weeks ago and it seemed to pay off but then he got a horrible cold and we had the wedding so it was the route of least stress & most sleep!
Although DS has now settled into a sort of schedule, he wakes between midnight and about 2am and gets a small bottle and then wakes again between 4 & 5 ish and gets a second bottle. Often he sleeps until around 7. Sometimes he wakes around 6 and then we give him a third (or a bit of sneaky booby- while there is still a little something there) and he goes back off till 7/7:30. We can live definitely live with that at the moment.

Daytime naps - he usually has three x 30 minutes. Although the lunchtime one is sometimes longer he often still needs the late nap even if he slept for over an hour at lunch.

I will try and get a pic up on FB. Problem is the profi ones take 4-6 weeks to be ready... Will see what I can scrounge from friends profiles Smile

MrsNutella · 07/11/2013 09:02

Ok, pic is up on FB.

WLmum · 07/11/2013 09:47

utopian glad you're feeling happier and have found a plan you can live with for now.
spotty thanks - I saw them last night so got the order in Smile
pidj T regularly does 6/7 steps for DH but only 2/3 for me. Fair enough as dd1 walked for everyone except him and he was Sad about being last to see. Shockingly I can't remember a thing about dd2 starting to walk (poor middle child!)
Beautiful pic mrs, you both look amazing, and the setting looks fab too.

lazzaroo · 07/11/2013 10:01

Seriously now, does anyone understand my baby? Because she has become a mystery to me! She was up at 4.40am. Had 45 mins at 6.45am, so up again at 7.30am. Woke up screaming. Rubbing her eyes & yawning in car from pre-school to garage, but I though 'that's ok, we have a long walk home'. ONE HOUR later & we're home.....she is not asleep Confused. So much for our catch up on sleep day. What the hell is going on?! Maybe it's something else making her whingey at home after all?! You'd think after 10months and second baby I'd be better at this by now Sad

lazzaroo · 07/11/2013 10:26

She has however just picked up my mobile phone, put it to her ear & muttered 'dada dada' Smile. She can stay Wink

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/11/2013 11:17

Oh Lazza we all have those awful days. Sometimes they're utterly exhausted and yet they keep on and on. Brew to you to keep you awake! Hope she's not too whingy.

DS on the other hand just did something amazing! We've been to the park as mummy was going out of her mind stuck inside for 5 days with a poorly baby and when we got back DS seemed happy enough in his pram. So I left him by the back door playing with the little plaits on his hat and he's only gone and self settled! He's asleep! I didn't have to rock/feed/cuddle him! In centuries to come villagers will write songs and rejoice when they remember this momentous day WinkGrin

Equimum · 07/11/2013 11:35

Congrarulations mrsNutella

Great stuff Willyou

Sorry about DPs Nan Spotty

DS doesn't really speak yet, but he seems to know when people are leaving and initiates waving (unless it's me who's leaving!). He also seems to use dada in context quite a bit.

We also have a wriggler and regularly do laps of the bedroom. I struggled for ages tiger his trousers on this morning. I then popped him in his travel cot while I got dressed, only for him to promptly remove said trousers and wave them at me Shock. We'd also lost a sock before we left the house and a slipper by the time e arrived at nursery Angry.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/11/2013 11:37

I feel your pain Equimum, DS has removed his silly little soft shoes 5 times today. I only got them as my mum kept saying how cold his feet would be in socks.

halestone · 07/11/2013 14:39

Lazza sorry your having such a crap day after a crap nightThanks FX its getting better now.

Equimum, H waves at everyone leaving but me.

Utopian i'm glad you and DP have come up with a plan with your happy with.

We've just brought H's Birthday presents, a doll that goes in the bath and an activity table. Just got to buy her clothes now. I also brought her a walker for now so hopefully she'll leave my dad alone.

H has quite alot of words that she uses in the right context Hiya, dad, mum, nanna grandad, duck, dog, yes and no and she says tigs and tskk tsks when she see's cats. (Tigs is the neighbours cat that lets himself into our house alot, so now she thinks all cats are tigs)

WLmum · 07/11/2013 14:58

Wow hales that's a lot of words! Think you're going to have a little chatterbox on your hands!

lazzaroo · 07/11/2013 15:35

It has turned out to be a lovely day so far! Baby lazza eventually went down at 10.45am and slept for an hour & half. It makes such a difference. But I did nothing different so have ni way of controlling whether she'll sleep for 40mins or longer. So frustrating! We had lunch (she had lunch....I have just realised I didn't have anything! So all I've eaten today is 2 cakes Blush) and then went out with friends. She's gone to sleep again in car in way home, so a much better day for naps.

Am now £300 worse off after paying for MOT & Service....better stay away from bargain thread tonight!

Impressive chatting hales

I am forever trying to find a pair of socks! I've got to the point where finding 2 that are vaguely similar is a success and will do the job!

PurplePidjin · 07/11/2013 17:23

R wears tights

ISpyPlumPie · 07/11/2013 17:54

Congratulations Mrs Nutella Thanks

Yay to the walking Pidge and wow to all those words Hales

Sorry to hear about DP's nan Spotty Sad

Glad you've agreed on a sleep plan Utopian and hope things improve for you soon Lazza. Well done to baby Willyou though - lets hope it catches on with his thread buddies!

N wears tights too. He kept pulling socks off and I could never find a matching pair either. Boots had a nice set of three pairs in navy and red, and they look just like socks when he's got trousers over them.

PurplePidjin · 07/11/2013 18:00

99p in the 99p shop here Wink

Maryland2013 · 07/11/2013 19:18

Congrats mrs Nutella :)

Maryland2013 · 07/11/2013 19:22

Wow Pidj walking ! :)
And Hales that is a LOT of words
Both v impressive.
DS just says dadda ALL the time, typical!! He just say mama too though and a funny sound at the cat which is always the same sound but not a real word IYSWIM.

hope those having sleep troubles get some respite soon..

Equimum · 07/11/2013 19:22

Wow, Hales that's amazing!

fo little Pidge.

Keep meaning to buy some rights for DS. H&M do some really snazzy ones in boyish colours. They also sell felt slippers which cover the whole foot and secure with Velcro both sides - they take DS a while to get off Wink.

Well, DS decided not to nap at nursery today and to only have a twenty nap this afternoon. He's just going down now, but I predict a foul night - fifty minutes sleep since 5.45am doesn't bode well!

Went to collect some of DSs presents today. We're doing a musical stocking with wooden maracas, castanets etc so I picked the remaining bits for that up. I then found TKMaxx had some great wooden toys in, so also got a stacking penguin and hammering bench. When I eventually got to Debwngams to collect what I'd ordered, it was in the most enormous bag Confused and we were on the train!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/11/2013 20:40

these are a favourite in our house. Dd and ds both love them (thinking of birthdays etc)
