Party was ace. 11dc, about half the invitees. Played in big hall then snacks and cake, very chilled. Just had chinese for dinner am shattered!

WLmum · 30/11/2013 19:59

Well done baby willyou and baby lazza. T joins in with sprinkle on the sugar actions when dd2 is singing her nursery Xmas song. She has been taking a few steps here and there for months but today seemed to do a few more. She's eaten nothing though so am expecting plentiful milk calls tonight.
Sold almost everything at the sale - I cried on the way out! My head knows we're done and I am excited about getting a proper job again, getting more out in the eve more etc as they get older but my heart is still sad. I just loved being pg and babies are ace.
Glad party went well pidj, did people not reply to yoir invitations? ive always ended chasing for replies which i think is very rude. mmmm Chinese!

WLmum · 30/11/2013 20:15

hales did you see the dr yesterday? How you doing?

PurplePidjin · 30/11/2013 21:20

Several couldn't make it, a couple of no response and quite a few last minute illnesses, it's that time of year :)

WLmum · 30/11/2013 22:18

It's the no responses that I think are rude, the others can't be helped.
T has been up 4 times since bedtime. Poor soul has a nasty cough.
We went to see an illuminated boat procession along the canal this eve. 'twas lovely and the big two loved seeing the rain deer and Santas etc and T just enjoyed the lights.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/12/2013 04:21

Glad the party went well Pidj 11 babies sounds plenty to me anyway Grin

Glad you made some money WL but sorry it was bittersweet. Your evening sounds lovely.

Sorry your weekend had turned out so crappy Spotty. I hope you all have a speedy recovery.

I'm ccing as I write this, at 4am the time has finally arrived. DS has been up 9 times tonight despite us cosleeping since 12:30. I have settled him over and over. DP has sat downstairs watching tv and drinking whiskey and couldn't understand why I didn't just fancy having sex at 12am. Erm fuck off.

SpottyTeacakes · 01/12/2013 06:08

WL that sounds lovely!

I'm actually feeling quite a bit better today. Dp managed to sleep last night and ds only woke once at 10:30 for a cuddle. He's still got a fever but only 38.5.

I can't wait to give dd her gruffalo advent calendar in a minute!

SpottyTeacakes · 01/12/2013 06:09

Oops...

Willyou hope j settled in the end. Hmm To your dp!

WLmum · 01/12/2013 08:02

Be strong willyou it will pay dividends. You chose the right expression for your dp - either help and support or indeed fuck off.
Glad the spotty gang are feeling a little better.
I now seem to have the cold so feel a bit shit. Great timing - we are having family photos done with bil/sil/dn for mils Xmas pressie later today.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/12/2013 09:29

Thanks folks.

It took an hour but he went to sleep! Bet the neighbours love me! He's in the room furthest away from them though and I shut all the doors so hopefully not too bad for them.

DP did get up but his suggestion was that he hold him but if cosleeping isn't working I can't imagine that would so I sent him to bed and did cc. Now I just have to be strong again tonight. DP has at least done the early shift so I only feel half dead instead of fully dead.

Happy December, December mums. I now decree that Christmas is officially coming (I hate Christmas in November!)

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/12/2013 09:51

I've noticed something worrying - when DS pokes his tongue out it is crooked. It always pokes to the left. I wonder if they hit a nerve when they cut his tongue tie? It's a HV job isn't it?

SpottyTeacakes · 01/12/2013 09:55

Yes mention it to the HV. I expect if it's not effecting his eating and won't effect his speech they won't do anything. Dp has tt and can't poke his tongue out at all Hmm

ddas · 01/12/2013 10:11

I'd see gp not hv about that- beyond their remit.

ISpyPlumPie · 01/12/2013 10:13

Cake made (though not up to Pidge standards), house looking almost presentable, extremely giddy little boy being 'shown' how to play with his presents by his big brother. Happy birthday N Cake

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/12/2013 10:17

Thanks DDas, I'll make yet another appt at the doctors Hmm. I'm there on Thurs for a smear too. I can't poke mine out either Spotty but J's has been cut so I'm worried they've cut something when they snipped it.

Happy birthday N! I hope you all have a lovely day Ispy

PurplePidjin · 01/12/2013 11:27

Happy birthday N Cake

R is off to my folks' for a sleepover tonight, and dp is going out with a mate. Niiiiiiiiiiight oooooooooooff!!!!!!!!!!

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 01/12/2013 13:35

Ooh what will you do with your freedom Pidj?

I feel like a bit of a shit today, j has bright red cheeks, a temp, is holding his ears and there are 2 molars the size of Lego bricks making their way down. Then again an hour of crying got us 3 hours sleep, that was the longest stint by far. Should I see how he is at bedtime and put cc on hold if he's poorly?

WLmum · 01/12/2013 13:49

Happy birthday baby ispy.
willyou oh dear poor baby j. Personally I would wait a day or 2 if you think he's poorly.
Photographer due in 10 mins, I'm feeding T still in her pjs, DH is busy making dd2 cry whilst getting her changed.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 01/12/2013 15:29

Happy birthday to N!

Am I the only one with a non standing baby? He cruises everywhere and pulls up on everything but if I try to stand him, just in front of me or get him to walk holding my hands, he just collapses straight to his knees Hmm

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 01/12/2013 15:40

Mine will stand in front of me if he fancies it and will walk holding hands but if you try to let go of his hands he collapses to his knees. I think he's just lazy and a fraidy cat! X

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 01/12/2013 15:41

Ooh a stray kiss, don't tell mumsnet!

Stacks · 01/12/2013 16:27

Spotty DS is very risk averse and wouldn't stand on his own at all, even though I knew he could. He started doing it 'accidentally' first, when holding a toy and wanting the other hand for example, he did that on and off for about 2 weeks before consenting to stand on purpose. He was the same with walking, he did it for a day, then refused for nearly a week, now he's back to walking and doing much better with it. He was also cruising for months before standing or walking. T has never face planted or fell over really, when learning to sit, crawl or walk. Total scaredy cat. Glad to hear your DH is on the mend, really hope DS perks up for you tomorrow too. Perhaps you could take him back to the dr if you think the abs should have worked by now?

Happy birthday to babies turning 1. I've decided T is going to have a Thomas Day in June when he's 18m, but we'll have birthday cake on Christmas Day, as DH doesn't like Christmas cake/pudding.

Good luck those doing CC. I've had to start doing it again a bit for T, he's waking 2-3 times a night again, after sleeping through for 3 months. He gets angry now though, and shouts much longer than he did the first time we did it.

PurplePidjin · 01/12/2013 16:35

Fandango don't sleep train when poorly, it's too hard to tell if they're grumpy at being left or need a cuddle because it hurts Sad

I'm going to crochet, watch stuff on tv dp doesn't like (he's off out with a mate) and sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep :o

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 01/12/2013 17:35

And we have a bottom tooth, back molar, razor sharp. All offers of food refused, naps no longer than 25 minutes - going to be a long night!

Enjoy Pidj.

Stacks · 01/12/2013 17:38

I'm scared of teething - we still have none. Are teeth always a nightmare?? lie to me please
