For those who are confused, Det and I went to soft play today and I am now exhausted!

WLmum · 15/11/2013 21:51

willyou I'm a serial giver of hands! Occaisionally DH has got the hump but at the end of the day we both know I'm just better at it!! Haha, actually because of his shift work they don't get any consistency with him so of course it works better for me.
T was a rotter to settle so am expecting a bed guest later - I'll try to resist but am v tired after a week of v late nights/disturbed nights/early mornings (a winning combination) so resolve will be weak. Poor little snot monster.
Poor baby pidjs bottom. Air and metanium are the key.

I'm off on a bike ride through the woods with a good pal tomorrow am. First time I've been on my bike since before being pg with T and pal is super fit cycle to work kinda gal.

WLmum · 16/11/2013 06:25

No overnight chat? Hope that means everyone was sleeping rather than busy being poorly/seeing to poorly babies.
T did much better than I expected, just one wake and feed at 2.30 then up at 6.10 - normally I'd bring her into out bed for half an hour but she's so snotty I didn't want her to be so flat so up we are.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 16/11/2013 08:05

Ha if only WL. DP did the night feed but DS was having none of it and wouldn't go back to sleep for him. I had to get up, change him out of his wet clothes (he keeps drinking so much in the night that his nappy leaks) and give him calpol at 4:30. Yawn!

PurplePidjin · 16/11/2013 08:16

R slept 6-5, and the rash is almost gone now. He's a big fan of his longies though, not sure if he'll be happy to go back to jeans!

WLmum · 16/11/2013 20:26

Where is everyone?

WLmum · 16/11/2013 20:31

We went to a birthday party this arvo and T fell asleep on the way home so I'm now trying desperately to get her to go to bed.

Barbeasty · 16/11/2013 21:08

We were in Oxford with all DC's cousins all afternoon. Manic, but both DC enjoyed it. A enjoyed joining in with the pass the parcel.

Then we went out for dinner for our anniversary. Just back, and A was straight at me for milk.

Hopefully he'll go off soon and I'll get a good night. maybe the wine I drank will help

FriendofDorothy · 16/11/2013 21:13

I am here, just having a really grumpy, sad day :(

WLmum · 16/11/2013 21:37

Good for you beasty
Poor you fod. Anything particular triggered the grump or just general?
Poor T keeps waking up crying. I gave her calpol before bed but she's so full of snot

ddas · 16/11/2013 22:21

I'm just not with it today. Dd decided to give us an even earlier start than normal.
Ds has been challenging today which found difficult when sleep deprived- just don't have as much patience when tired! The terrible two's really does exist! Although with ds it's defiant two's!

ddas · 16/11/2013 22:22

fod sorry to hear that- you've had a rough couple of months.

ispyplumpie · 16/11/2013 23:14

Busy day today with DS1's party this morning and Church Christmas fair this afternoon. Party went really well. DS1 enjoyed it and I got to spend some time with some lovely friends. N met Father Christmas at the fair - it was all going so well until they took a photo and he decided to scream. Will be an interesting picture Grin.

halestone · 16/11/2013 23:45

Hope DS1 enjoyed his party Ispy.

Bigs hugs FoD

I love out spare bed Hales, it's stupidly comfy.

I've been to a friend's fortieth and J totally behaved himself for my sister! Turns out it's just my mum and DP's mum nit wanting to put him to bed! My sister followed my instructions to the letter and he was asleep for 8:30, much better than the 11pm reported by my parents last week. I told my mum to cuddle him to sleep and that he may cry briefly but to persevere, youd think id suggested locking him a room with a pride of lions!

This is the first wake up since she put him down! Yippee!

WLmum · 17/11/2013 12:38

That all sounds good willyou. We only had one wake up last night too despite the fact that T is hardly eating any solids at the moment - due to her cold and emerging teeth I guess. Just trying to boob her to sleep now.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 17/11/2013 13:44

Have you seen fb? Poor Spotty is in ITU.

halestone · 17/11/2013 14:28

Wow Willyou and WL there some good sleeps.

I've just spotted FB as well i hope Spotty feels better soonThanks

We had hardly any sleep last night although H had loads she fidgeted all over the bed and when i escaped to the spare bed she woke up and cried till i came back Hmm

We thought DD had reacted to the glitter make up stuff her cousins put on her face yesterday. "Luckily" it was just the pink felt tip that Granny had given her to draw with in the car on the way home. The good news is that, as predicted, it's all come off in the swimming pool.

A slept no better or worse than normal, so sadly some rather nice wine isn't the answer to good sleep!

WLmum · 17/11/2013 20:07

What a shock for poor spotty!

Just boobing a hysterical T. She's hardly eaten again today and just got really upset which isn't like her at all. Poor wee baby.

I majorly threw my toys this afternoon about the house being a constant tip. I did overreact but honestly as fast as I can tidy one place DH and dds trash another place. I got home yesterday about 2 after a very rare jaunt to find the house a complete mess, art and craft crap stuff all over. DH and I were both going out separately at 3 so given that he also hadn't wrapped the present or started getting the girls ready for the party there was no time to sort it. He went off on his not so rare jolly (nights out that start at 3 piss me off) so I did all 3 dds at a party, tea and bed on my own then tidied everything up and hoovered etc. This afternoon while uber clingy T was asleep I was upstairs sorting some stuff for an nct sale for max one hour - complete fucking tip again - don't ever buy moon dough! All over the floor so I had to Hoover again so T didn't eat it all. Oh and I had to wipe soup off the wall from where DH had given dd2 lunch. Ffs.
Tomorrow our parents will look after the girls here while we're at work - I absolutely cannot knock the free childcare but again I'll come home to a shit tip.
I have apologised but its really getting to me.
Ok rant over!

utopian99 · 17/11/2013 21:04

Hi.all; sorry for being awol! (although thanks for checking up hales.. Smile O is getting quite adept at killing my phones so.no mobile internet at the mo. unless dh donates his phone . greater love hath no man.

Just.checking in to say about spotty, hope she's okay; also the rest of those battling sickness.

Happy v late birthday pidj , glad you have a healing pidjchick bottom. Sorry about house chaos wl, i really feel for you. Hugs for you too youfod, Wine all round ..

WLmum · 17/11/2013 22:42

Thanks utopian its petty I know and I'm not a neat freak but 1 vs 4 is unfair! DH is running scared and has been looking for things to tidy but I know tomorrow will be back to normal - he's always been a messy bugger. My only hope is to slowly train the girls.
My pesky little monster has broken my iPhone charger by constantly chewing the end - she's obsessed! As soon as I catch her with mine and take it away she goes off and ferrets around til she finds dh's. that and saying no while shaking her head at me while she holds the toilet brush. Monster!

WLmum · 17/11/2013 22:51

Ha I just asked DH where my pj t shirt was (after he made the bed!!) - doh - I'm wearing it!! In my defense it was under a sweatshirt!
