Well dd stopped being sick about midnight and dp wasn't sick again. I was every 1-2 hours from 8pm until 5am. My kidneys really hurt too. First sick bug in about eight years!

jackandjilly · 14/11/2013 07:57

Oh no spottyHmm

My dd and dh have it now too. Dd came running in at 4.30 having been sick in her room and mine! She woke up ds too. Looks like its me next.

Pre sick bug we are on two naps. 30-40 mins around 9 and 1hour+ after lunch.

PurplePidjin · 14/11/2013 08:27

1/2 cup cereal
1/2 cup apple juice
3/4 cup plain flour
1/4 tsp ginger

Mix, roll, cut into small shapes. I need to investigate cooking times and temperatures, high+fast gives chewy biccies i think low+slow might give crunchy ones?

SpottyTeacakes · 14/11/2013 08:27

Oh poor them jackSad I've just been sick again. Need to decide about work tomorrow really....

Barbeasty · 14/11/2013 08:28

Oh no. Hope you're all better soon.

A was awake until about 22.30 last night. He was happy, just not sleeping.

He seems to have one big nap at about 11.30/12, but fell asleep in the car on the way home from nursery. And I let him so I could put DD to bed. Lesson learnt until next time

We got the CD of nursery photos yesterday, and saw the swimming ones and have ordered the CD of those too. Really lovely, so just need to get the frames to give them as Christmas presents.

BopsX3 · 14/11/2013 09:24

DS2 is fine now and is back in school so it was only a 24 hour thing. Hope I don't catch it Confused it's awful when I'm ill because I'm a single parent, I still have to do everything I normally would no matter how I feel :( hope everyone feels better soon x

jackandjilly · 14/11/2013 10:41

I wouldn't go in spotty. Hope you feel better soon.

Fx you don't catch it bops. I hope I miss out tooSmile

Well we have all been to bed for an hour. Woke up to find my friend had left a leap frog table outside for ds. That should keep him out of the sick bowls!!! Grin

WillYouDoTheFandango · 14/11/2013 10:41

Poor poorly babies and mummies. If I were you Spotty id ring in sick, especially with it being a HCP setting.

Thanks Pidj, I shall try them out. I'm off to aldi later so will get some baby cereal.

Jamie has just farted and pooed all over his clothes. It (and this is major TMI) smells like teething poo, but I'm not sure if stomach bug poo would smell the same? His nose is streaming and he's discovered that he can suck snot off his top lip. Babies ming!

While discussing poo I have a question, MiL told me last week that Jamie is constipated as his poo isn't runny any more. But he's on 3 meals and 2 snacks per day now and only 2-3 bottles. Surely his poo will be increasingly solid as he's eating solids?

jackandjilly · 14/11/2013 10:41

Post a swimming pic on fb barbeasty!

Barbeasty · 14/11/2013 11:10

I'll put a picture up when we get the swimming ones. I can only see the proofs online with "sample" all across them.

But (I think) I've linked to our swimming company's fb page, which has DD as their cover photo at the moment.

WLmum · 14/11/2013 11:21

willyou his poo will likely smell the same ish as the smell is caused by it moving too fast through his system. Ts poo has been solid or semi solid for ages now depending on any given days ratio of food to milk. He's only constipated if he's having trouble going or the stool is really hard.

T decided 4.45 was morning today. Alright for her having a 2 hour nap this morning. I didn't get to bed til 12 then a feed at 2.30. May be a bit done in by tea time - and I'm making something new so they'll probably all complain but its time to expand the family tee menu'

WLmum · 14/11/2013 11:25

pidj those biscuits sound fab - think I'll give them a try with porridge oats. What sort of cereal do you use?

Equimum · 14/11/2013 11:49

Sorry for all the poorly mummies, babies etc. these bugs sound horrible!

Willyou Wen I was driving last week, DS sneezed twice and I could see streaks of snot in the mirror. Next thing, he was suckin gthem into mouth and licking his top lip. I felt quite positively sick! On another note, DSs poo is definitely quite solid now he's eating lots of food. He doesn't appear to be straining excessively and they're not like rocks, so I was assuming that was normal.

BopsX3 · 14/11/2013 11:58

Willyou I was told a while ago with one of my older DSs that they're constipated if its coming out like rabbit poo. Small pellet type things haha sorry tmi. Hope this helps in some way. Not sure if they're still giving that advice or not though

SpottyTeacakes · 14/11/2013 13:16

Willyou when ds isn't ill it teething he has solid poo and I put it down the toilet.

Starting to feel slightly better but struggling with the diabetes. Phoned in sick and good job as my poor step mum has it now. I feel awful.

Is it cruel that we've given ds a bottle and only some grapes and an oatie bar for lunch? The thought of food is just too much Blush

jackandjilly · 14/11/2013 13:59

Spotty that's good by my standards and I'm not even ill!! Ds has had skips and boob so far!

halestone · 14/11/2013 16:49

Sorry about all the sickness and diarrhoea, i hope everyone is feeling better soon.

H has done rabbit dropping poo for ages she has 2-3 poos a day though i just assumed this was normal. I am wrong and she is in fact constipated she doesn't seem to strain to get it out but i can tell when shes having a poo.

WL my dad is mostly better he's in remission from his kidney disease but they wouldn't let him have heart surgery due to them thinking that it probably won't help him. Someone elses dad had heart surgery on this thread though. He just isn't very mobile and struggles because of joint problems. He is like a walking sick note everything that can has gone wrong in him.

I'm still being sick every hour. Green bile (sorry tmi) does anyone have any advice? Everyone was fine after a few hours but I'm nearing on 24 Sad

PurplePidjin · 14/11/2013 17:38

I used ground rice today, just whatever's in the cupboard! Los+slow+not too thin, today's batch are a bit crispy (30 mins @ 150*)

PurplePidjin · 14/11/2013 17:39

caloriecount.about.com/nakd-banana-bread-bar-recipe-r514258

His is also awesome :)

halestone · 14/11/2013 17:43

Just make sure you keep hydrated spotty plenty of water or even flat lemonade. I hope your feeling better soonThanks

OP posts:
Maryland2013 · 14/11/2013 18:14

I second flat lemonade it really does help. I hate sickness bugs I had a 24 hr one last week- hope you're all better soon.

DS poo is solid too now really. I was told that constipation = rabbit droppings poos so if we have this I up his water and sometimes give diluted orange juice and it sorts it out straight away. I think it would be more of an issue NOT to have solid poo now with all their food??

WLmum · 14/11/2013 20:26

I would have thought so too maryland
spotty you poor thing. If you can bear it a few spoons of plain boiled rice and apple purée - the brat (bananas, rice, apple and ??) is recommended by Gps. Dioralyte is excellent for rehydration - a syringe full every 10 mins, then if you're not sick for an hour up it to every 5 mins.

lazzaroo · 14/11/2013 21:04

Sorry to read of so much sickness, hope everyone feeling better soon.

I think the 't' might be toast!

WLmum · 14/11/2013 21:25

That's what sprung to mind lazza but I wasn't sure. I'm busy procrastinating. Really need to get on!
