Hmm I was not good at taking my vitamins while preg or now. Will start him on them today.

YellowWellies · 31/10/2013 08:46

I'm still on pregnacare and a calcium supplement to make sure J is getting enough calcium. He's also on vit drops. I'm rubbish at taking mine though Confused .

I'm taking Pregnacare Breastfeeding which includes a fish oil capsule but that's more because I'm worried about my own nutritive status what with being on a low carb diet. I suspect J gets first dibs on all the good nutrients and I get what's left!

We're gearing up for Halloween here. The boys are watching Nightmare Before Christmas then we're going to put up the decorations and carve pumpkins before heading off to the Ulster Folk Park. All the kids in the street go trick or treating together - I'd better make sure we have enough sweets and chocolate in.

I take the Max ones with fish oil too. I'd take them more readily if they weren't fecking huge horse pills!!!

Brew Anyone?

Lily311 · 31/10/2013 13:07

Am here, yawning.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/10/2013 13:21

Went back to bed as was tired. Woken up by a migraine, have been sick, can't keep water down, feeling shivery. Was fine this morning. Have told DH to come home early, put a laundry load in and am back in bed. I v rarely get migraines and this one is a shocker.

ChasingDaisy · 31/10/2013 13:21

Dash of wine in mine please GT. I have managed to survive a trip to CMK during half term so I reckon I deserve it. I bought Oscar's birthday candles and balloons Smile Have posted on FB asking for party bag inspiration.

ChasingDaisy · 31/10/2013 13:22

Migraines are awful PR. Do you know what your triggers are?

ChasingDaisy · 31/10/2013 13:22

Actually, PR, don't reply. You shouldn't be looking at screens with a migraine.

GTbaby · 31/10/2013 14:02

H n A are napping at the same time. Mum is out. I'm alone. Shock Going to have a cuppa n cherry bakewell. N watch the tunnel. Very good series.

Also just finished breaking bad. What shall I watch nxt?

Evilwater · 31/10/2013 14:47

Hello all, just had a phone call from both the rent people and the I like is now unavailable cause the landlord has to move in, and the second one the landlord is on holiday.:(I'm disappointed, I could almost taste my freedom.

N is still not well, we was rolling around in pain yesterday and p was worried about his sleep! So I phoned the out of hours of GP and they weren't to worried, p was a bit better after that. I went to the Gp this morning and n has a virus. P was spouting stuff on the way back :(

Evil

YellowWellies · 31/10/2013 17:08

Oh bugger Evil though it sounds like a close escape on the first house if the landlord's having to move in - he doesn't sound like the best manager of his money or business. When's the second one back from holiday? Don't give up - your freedom is so close. If you're worried about P can you go stay with someone or even consider a refuge? I know he's not been violent but he still sounds pretty abusive.

Just had a lovely post swimming cuddle and snooze with Jonas. Then he let off the most minging fart in his sleep. I was Envy but then couldn't stop laughing as these almighty thunderous farts rippled from his nappy.

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 31/10/2013 17:37

P needs to spout his shit in front of a few other people, evil any chance you can get back in to see that dr by yourself and talk things through with him/her?

Lily311 · 31/10/2013 17:51

evil I haven't offered much support yet as I'm just putting the pieces together but I admire you for being strong. You can do this, you are awesome!

Right, we had an awful afternoon. Lots of crying and whining. Calpol was given and at 4 she saw me opening the fridge and had a massive tantrum. Cue early dinner. I have never seen her eating so much, she was clearly hungry. Is there an 11month growth spurt?

gt downton from beginning, castle?, 24?, homeland?. I have no other ideas. I watched grey's anatomy and Dawson's creek while breast feeding.

PumpkinIsles · 31/10/2013 17:59

evil lucky escape on the first house. Don't give up hope on the second. And I am CERTAIN there will be others.

I have just put M to bed. She was in her pjs anyway after a disastrous dinner and properly whingy. So now she is asleep in her cot. Bedtimes the last fortnight have been no earlier that 10.30pm and last night it was midnight with 5 wake ups before we gave in at 6am. Tonight could go either way....

PetiteRaleuse · 31/10/2013 18:59

No idea on the triggers chasing have only had two or three proper horrific episodes in 15 years. Maybe yesterday's red bull? I drink very very little caffeine other than the odd glass of coke. No tea or coffee. It did give me an excellently energetic day.

YellowWellies · 31/10/2013 19:09

Lily Jonas has been like that for the last month. Unsettled, eating like a horse, comfort feeding, rubbish nights, I don't know if it was the 12 month growth spurt early - apparently it can show up anytime after 10 months. I put it down to him figuring out standing and the baby walker or teeth or trace dairy but now it's fading thank god and we're back to sleeping through or one waking at most - have realised it felt like a bad ass growth spurt.

ChasingDaisy · 31/10/2013 19:11

Caffeine can be a trigger, but AFAIK the reaction usually starts within minutes of being exposed to the trigger. Mine is melted cheese - so I can't eat cheese on toast. Although I can eat pizza Hmm Another one is sunshine through glass. That gives me the worst migraines - I lose the ability to speak and see for 20 mins. How are you feeling now?

Evil, the fact that you haven't let this setback deter you from your plan is proof of just how determined you are to leave. I keep saying it but I am very impressed x

PetiteRaleuse · 31/10/2013 19:14

Quite a bit better thanks. Managed to keep dinner and paracetamol down, the worst is over. I no longer feel like I have a heavy lead ball rolling around in my head. DH came home early to look after the kids post nursery.

PumpkinIsles · 31/10/2013 19:20

Yep, epic fail. Sad en route to chipper with DP and a whinging baby in the back to get chips to eat on the beach in the carpark. Romantic night in eh?

PR DP's migraines have been attributed to all sorts of weirdness over the years: too much sleep, not enough sleep, too much caffeine, not enough caffeine, apples wtf? and laterally mature cheese (I have tested this one, it is not true)

Anyway, he usually gets them when coming off nightshifts so not enough sleep and too much caffeine are the main culprits.

YellowWellies · 31/10/2013 19:41

Pumpkin hope yours is a growth spurt too and she's rapidly out the other side.

LOOK AWAY IF EATING YER TEA!!!! I think the MMR side effects have hit today - we were warned it's usually 6-7 days post jags. High temperature, cuddle-monkey, rivers of snot. Of all the baby 'ethers' I think snot is my kryptonite. It proper makes me gip! I can literally cup my hands whilst he pukes into them, have had my hands badly entangled in code brown nappies but blowing his nose and feeling warm squidgy snot thru the hanky - gaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrgh.
