Pr put a cup of porridge oats in a tied muslin and dump it in her bath. Use it like a scrub to wash her too. Only thing that helped/helps when M's eczema is particularly bad.

fruitpastilles · 30/10/2013 17:31

Glad the session went well yw bet it's a weight off your mind to know he's ok there.

Made a lovely bolognaise for dinner, s had 3 pasta spirals and has thrown the rest on the floor and started screaming Hmm normally I'd leave her be and take it she's not hungry but she hardly ate any lunch today. Have just given her some Philadelphia on a piece of bread and she's wolfing it down, little monkey, pasta bolognaise is one of her faves normally.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2013 17:35

Ok thanks I'll have to see if i can find muslins over here.

fruit they are fickle little sods sometimes. LO is currently snubbing cheese on toast which she normally loves Hmm

GTbaby · 30/10/2013 17:49

Feels like I've been sat on this sofa all fucking day. He slept in his cot one hour that's it. He is just stick to me. All he wants is milk. I've no idea if I'm now over feeding him. I'm so tiered. I've had enough.

fruitpastilles · 30/10/2013 17:51

Now she's playing with the bits of pasta she didn't throw on the floor, putting them in the cup holder bit of the tray in her high chair and then taking them out again, all while crying Confused

My db had bad eczema as a baby and it got better as he got older but didn't completely go, but I suppose as with everything else, they are all different.

fruitpastilles · 30/10/2013 17:52

Oh and pr I have loads of Muslins if you want me to post you any, or have a look on amazon.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2013 18:03

Thanks fruit but I am sure I'll find them. I have only been into a baby shop once or twice and not looked, not having had pukey babies. I have only ever heard of them on here in fact.

PumpkinIsles · 30/10/2013 18:18

Pr a sock works the same. Hope it helps. I also find Aveeno to be the only cream that made any difference, and M has been prescribed steroids and all sorts - including one she had a nasty reaction to Angry

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 30/10/2013 18:22

GT growth spurt. Completely normal. Get some complex carbs in you, like porridge with banana and honey. It'll be over in a day or two.

Lily311 · 30/10/2013 18:38

Thank you for birthday wishes. I received a bunch of flowers and card at 8 which said it was from Olivia. It took me the whole morning to find out that actually my mum ordered them, made me appreciate my parents even more. We had a lovely day spending with cousins and family, O was knackered. Good day in all.

Pro kick ass at ss, need to go back next week.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2013 18:46

This bout has flared up (first time on her torso) just after using the paed recommended cleansing oil. Won't be using it again. Have been on French fora and apparently something called Dexeryl is good, and best thing is I have some.

Passmethecrisps · 30/10/2013 19:40

Great news on the easy settling yw! It's amazing how they surprise us.

I was pretty worried after coming back from holidays that p would struggle. She started battering on the bathroom door if I was in there and seemed very anxious if DH were not together. So I was quite concerned come the first morning back at CM. DH said he popped her on the floor and she just wandered off straight into the toy box. Waved him off and got back to it.

We almost have two top teeth. Nearly there. Unsettled eating and sleeping for nearly a week now - surely must be tomorrow the pop through!

I was so knackered last night I went to bed in my contact lenses. Despite being up at least every hour I didn't notice that I could see. It was only when I tried to put my specs on this morning that I realised I had x-ray vision!

Lovely of your parents lily. Very thoughtful thing to do.

YellowWellies · 30/10/2013 20:01

Sounds like the 6 week growth spurt GT I found that the hardest bit of BF so far. It's like having a furious milk obsessed squirrel stuck to your boobs. It doesn't last long 2-3 days and once you're out the other side BF feels so much easier as they speed up and get a lot more efficient. Just hold onto the thought that he's fussing to make more milk - if in doubt stick a boob in his mouth. This is the point where a lot of folks quit as it feels horrible but, if you want to continue, just count down the hours til it's over.

PR I second Aveeno. We all use it now in our house it's fab!

And the nursery settling was just what I'd hoped. But it was just one hour. And it could have been a one off. So I'm not counting my chickens too much! Let's see if they can get him to take a bottle and nap in the cot . Oh and his furious wriggling eel nappy changes are going to be the highlight of his key worker's day. Grin

I spent my time having a cuppa and finally booking my cleaner. They start next week! Whoop! Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2013 20:04

Is it the same as Avène? Never seen it here...

BigPigLittlePig · 30/10/2013 20:23

YW nightmare nappy changes are the norm here too, usually she is either pinned to the mat, or standing up holding on to the cot. At nursery? She just lies there, placid and cooing. Apart from the one time when they had to change her whilst I was there, and by the end of that they were all "little pig, whaaaat?" and Shock and she was purple in the face (F, not her key worker, although she wan't far off)

Passmethecrisps · 30/10/2013 20:25

I suspect it isn't sold there pr as my SIL's cupboards were stockpiled with it from the UK. It is amazing stuff. Different to avene I think. It is colloidal oatmeal stuff.

Oh! I have a question.

At 5ft 2in and almost 35 am I too old to wear an 18inch skirt?

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2013 20:28

Ha same here. LO loves being changed, massaged with cream and generally fussed over at creche. At home it's temper tantrum central.

Wow that small can of red bull is still working 10 hours later. I would clean the house on its energy but meh, it's raining tomorrow the floor would be fucked by 8

horseylady · 30/10/2013 20:29

pr I can post you some? Or try amazon.

I feel like death. Poor Etienne if this is what he felt like.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2013 20:40

You lovely people always offering to post me stuff. I'll never accept, postage costs are stupid. But thank you. You haven't got the hfmd have you horsey ? pig had it a while ago. You'll not like it but I made sheep jokes. Blush

horseylady · 30/10/2013 20:55

They're not that bad.

I'm wondering what's wrong. I feel sick, stomach cramps, faint, achey. Sore throat. No spots. Just shit.

StuntedFrankenNun · 30/10/2013 21:00

I'm sure DH has been very busy while I was away with the kids since Saturday. So busy that he was late to meet us, there's no food in the house, and the beds aren't made. Wankbadger. Angry

BigPigLittlePig · 30/10/2013 21:01

If it's hfmd you'll know - the mouthful of mank gives it away. Sounds viral and nasty though horsey Sad

Our house looks like we've been burgled tonight, but am too tired to do anything about it. It truly is disgusting.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2013 21:09

Quiche question: were any of you massive Jill pony books fans? I know someone who has written another one. An expert in the genre and it's good. Will pm link if interested. She wants feedback.

ValiumQueen · 30/10/2013 21:15

Marking place and saying LOVE LOVE LOVE the thread ending! Made me laugh out loud Grin

ChasingDaisy · 30/10/2013 21:27

Aveeno is awesome. It keeps O's eczema under control. PR I am always happy to send you anything you need/want. I owe you big time Smile

Just Friends guy has just been round. He knows how much I love London at Christmas and how sad I am that I don't get to go this year so he is taking me and Oscar for the day in December to see the lights Grin He isn't a massive fan of London at all so it is a really nice gesture. I don't love him at all. Nope. Not even a teeny little bit. Nope. Nope
