It's been a rough few weeks and I snapped last week, but I'm hoping a trip to the GP tomorrow will help. Digits twisted:)

Well done on the DIY stuff though. I'm trying to clear the house still. Slow going, but I will get there.

Happy new house Northern hope you manage to put your stamp on it soon:)

Raaaaah! Everything has been been a battle this afternoon. I posted by on the fb group of but I swear if I hear the words 'mummy got away!' One more bloody time I'm actually going to pack up my bloody bags and leave.

And he's finally asleep. Urgh. Did not have handle that as well as I should be have. They are really know how to push our buttons don't they.

Have we got a new thread title yet?

Boi tells me to go away fairly regularly. But it's followed soon after with a need for a cuddle, so it's deep breaths and wait it out. Or tickle.
We've just had his 2 year assessment. He was fab, and really well-behaved. He sat quietly and played mostly, and answered her questions. He was marked as having the developmental ages of between 2.5 to 4 for all categories (sometimes 2.5, sometimes 3, sometimes 4) so I'm really happy with that. And they don't want to see us again - unless we want something from them. So all's well. Smile

Figster · 27/01/2014 18:48

Well done boi we had no assessment in our visit we just spoke about his language it didn't help he threw a wobbly and ended up throwing a chair over.......git Grin

Breathe Hop ....this too shall pass

OiMissus · 27/01/2014 19:28

Aw. Figgy. This too shall pass!
They can be little monsters at the most inappropriate times, can't they?!
Boi's been pretty well behaved this last week - on the whole. He's obviously storing up his energy for a mass blow out sometime soon...

NorthernChinchilla · 27/01/2014 19:59

Yeah, I get the "NO mamma" almost on repeat, with a shove if I'm lucky...but then like us all I get the cuddles and being dragged along by the hand to play. We've not had any checks whatsoever since we stopped taking DS to the weekly HV clinic when he was 9 months and we were back at work. The only thing that stops me worrying that he should have had more jabs is that everyone on here would be discussing it!

Sorry you've had a rough time recently kitten, was it a build up of stuff or something specific? Let us know how the GP visit goes, hope it's positive.

YY to the slow DIY. DP and I did an entire house over 10 months pre DS, now it will be at a far slower pace. Mind you, we did re-decorate his bedroom and the hallway in a week about a year or so ago when we had the ceiling repaired, so I reckon there's hope Smile Sounds like you've really cracked on aethel, good going, and delighted to hear of the beneficial effect on your DH.

Sounds like my sort of clear out hop, though I had to laugh at the home made foam party! Bet it smelt lush Grin

Home made soup from the freezer for dinner, and whilst I love it I can't wait for the range to arrive...

CaffeinatedKitten · 27/01/2014 21:35

We get a lot of "goWAY!" and "no Yayah!". Yayah is as lose as the Smallspawn can get to his brother's name. His sister is Yehyit.

Doctor went as well as could be expected really. Been referred to the mental health team, and put on sertraline as a step toward getting my head in order. I really hope that the MH team refer me back to a psychologist as I feel I made progress last time, and I know that in the long term I need more than just antidepressants, I need mood stabilisers :(

mopsytop · 27/01/2014 22:03

Hope it all helps get you back on an even keel kitten.

I get dragged by the hand too all the time. 'amon mama' (= 'come on mama') and dragged into the sitting room. Not to play necessarily. Often she just barks 'chair!' or 'sofa!' and my role is to sit and watch her play. If I try to leave I get dragged back. She won't let me wash up or cook without a big struggle. Is cute though. When I was trying to watch 'Death comes to Pemberley' at the weekend, she got the remote and started waving it at me saying 'no no me no like it me no like it' and trying to make me change it to 'nemo fish'. Was v amusing.

Aethelfleda · 27/01/2014 22:18

We get At-At for DD1 and Dee-Dee for DD2. There is a lot of "Non. NNNNN!!" And then random flailing limbs, lying on floor, sticking lower lip out an extremely long way, and blowing raspberries in extremis.

We also get dragged to the telly mopsy, with either "bee-bee" (Baby Jake), De-Dah (Peppa Pig) or "Arrrrr!" (swashbuckle) being requested. And of course "Doc-Doc-oooo" (though usually the DDs beat him to it).

Aethelfleda · 27/01/2014 22:20

And well done kitten, let's hope the MH team are useful and swift. (We can hope so anyway). Sertraline is the dog's whotsits for a lovely relative of mine, I agree it's not a cure-all but at least it may help a bit while wheels are set in motion.

OiMissus · 28/01/2014 07:12

Good luck Kitten, hope you get what you need. X

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 28/01/2014 13:22

Good luck kitten, hope the MH people are helpful.

Got lots of bits tidied up at work today, and had a good meeting with my boss who assured me that all the other random bits I was stressing about can wait a while. And she told me I was doing a good job, which is nice to hear.

I have, however, given everyone else in my office my stomach plague. So it wasn't food poisoning as I thought. Whoops. But you know, if people will keep stealing my pens...

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 28/01/2014 15:32

I get asked for 'misser tumble?' but he doesn't really like the programe, just wants to play on the cbeebies app on my phone. It's quite a good one actually.

Gaaah 5hrs 45 in car today going to head office and back!! Off to Cardiff tomorrow I might have to go searching for Peter capaldi doing his Dr who skit I hear they were on the high street today.

Dh has cut DS hair it's awful he has a bowl cut fringe like Harry from dumb and dumber Angry I can hardly look at him it's so bad

OiMissus · 28/01/2014 20:21

Oh Figgy, can you drop by my web developers office and punch them all in the face?
(They were supposed to come to see me today but cancelled last minute - for the second time - when I could have taken the day off and spent a day at a spa with Bennybenbear and some other local mummies.) Confused
That's reason enough to sack them, isn't it? And take my website somewhere else...
B&stards!

Figster · 29/01/2014 09:25

Consider it done oi Grin

Stuck in traffic still Angry

Actually saw DS this morning got him dressed and had lovely cuddles I never see him in the mornings these days. Dh had an interview yesterday fingers crossed he gets it any baby making is on hold until work is sorted so he needs to get this job

OiMissus · 29/01/2014 21:06

Good luck mr Figgy!
Thanks Figgy for the face-punchery! Grin

NorthernChinchilla · 29/01/2014 21:23

Oooh, good luck for your DH figster. Can't believe the journeys you've had, nearly 6 hours there and back to work Shock?! Please tell me you don't have to go to Head Office often.
And sorry to hear about the haircut incident, I know Xiao suffered the same- do you have any pics, or is it really that bad?

DS was a total little sod yesterday morning, trying to get onto "Momma Chair" whilst I'm sitting in it trying to eat breakfast, failing, giving a good go at biting me in the ribs and when that was not well received Hmm hitting me. Amongst other things.
Today of course, it's been sweetness, light and giggles...gah!

Glad you're at least back in the 'system' now Kitten, and at least have some meds to start off. MH teams are under such pressure at the moment, I do hope you get seen quickly and get the treatment you need.

How are all the Spawn doing at the moment, I know winter tends to be bad for chests/breathing/asthma etc?

Now, thread titles, based on the above...
Dec 11- The March of the Toddler Tyrants?
Dec 11- "No Mummy, goWAY"

Aethelfleda · 29/01/2014 21:42

Dec '11: BWWWAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

(This especially applies between 5pm and 6.30, where DS is inexplicably Demon Leg-Cling Child, usually just as I need to make dinner. Mashing potatoes with a leg motif of toddler is an interesting fashion choice.)

We've been watching Outnumbered series 1. Then caught the last 5 mins of the new (final) series on BBC1: forgot to PVR it so will have to watch on iplayer or summat. The kids in it are all so grown-up! It will be like that with our LOs, I look at my big two and they are already miles away from being two!

(DD2 (who's 6) snuggled up to me today and said "mummy, do you want to know a secret? I don't really think I feel like a big girl. I only feel, mm, y'know, about five....")

I'm about fifteen, me.....

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 29/01/2014 21:59

I've booked a week off in Feb, I'm going to take DS out of nursery for a day or two and do some fun days out. Feel like we need more quality time with just the two of us.

Aw aethal, she sounds such a sweetie.

How about Dec2011, they really weren't lying about the twos.

OP posts:
BobaFetaCheese · 29/01/2014 22:15

Dec 11- MEINE. No mummy touch MEINE POO. MEINE POOOOOOOOO.

Sounds like a really pissed off little German. Hmm

Fig, how's the hair looking?

Hop, sounds lovely! Although I did think at first, fecckin hell she's planning in advance, days meld into one as a SAHM.

Period started tonight, after DH bought lovely expensive things for me to wee on. GRRH.

mopsytop · 29/01/2014 22:20

Ugh got stuck at work... car had no oil and had to wait nearly 2 hrs for RAC (I'll be checking the oil more regularly in future!) only got home just before ten. Yuck Sad
