I am wwrapping presents with a gin and tonic it's ttaking hours and I have more hidden in the car dh will throw a fit when he sees all of it

Bought myself a bottle of raspberry gin as a present for me for new year.

I'm sewing a superhero mask and have just burned myself with the iron. Three times. I fucking give up on today.

Off to garden centre this morning for breakfast and to get more gifts, throwing DS in the soft play as he's free under 2 and today is his last day as 1yr old he's being subjected to muppets Xmas carol this afternoon

Raspberry gin figgy? What new magic is this? Tell me quick cos planning on starting to try for no. 2 in the NY (what career issues?) so need to get some in fast before teetotalism has to start....

Oh and in other gin-related news, Mr Mopsy's gin was ready to drink today...
just had a wee taste. Not too bad at all. Methinks I like this new hobby. Although if I get preg it will obvs have to stop AT ONCE!

Go for it mopsy I have decided today that I want another one or at least to be growing another this time next year.

Not sure about the raspberry gin I've seen 3 different bottles of it this week and thought sod it the label said to drink neat, with lemonade or in champagne and the last suggestion sold it to me. Just need to get some champagne now

I hate being ill. It's a veg on sofa with DS watching Thomas DvDs day methinks. With regular ibuprofen/Day nurse. Oh, the glamour.

It's figgy boys bday he has a crate of happyland safari stuff all else remains unwrapped he's pretty oblivious to it all!!

I bloody hate party bags why did I get dragged into this again need to make 20 bags of reindeer dust I've ran out of oats and glitter and only 10 in now looking like I need to go Tesco TESCO on last Sunday before Xmas nooooooo by time top up little bags, fillings, choc coins to go with them it's cost me a bloody fortune not to mention the time it took to write 20 bloody poems. Next year fuck party bags!!

Urrrrggghh up half the night with a crying croupy Minimopsy. Not too croupy luckily but mild temp. Was going to send her into nursery today but I think not. Don't want her catching something else while she isn't strong. Poor bean. Poor me

Ali woke at 4. This has thwarted my 7am big shop plans as I think I only just got us back to sleep at 7.
There is no way that Santa would visit this house. Ali has been a bloody demon these past 2 weeks. It's taken 2 years, but I think I have now lost my patience!
DH is having his op today. The Boi better start behaving!!'

oi head to portablenorthpole.tv (google it) and make Boi a message (you can pick naughty/nice or halfway!) it then comes upnas a skype-type video message for your DC from Santa: it's very good as you cstomise theeasage with photos/names/what they want etc, and Santa can tell them to be nice to their mummy/always eat their greens/whatever.
We do it every year and DD1 is eight and STILL asks when her message is coming through! (i honestly thought this year she'd have rumbled the gig, but it seems not. Yay.)
Just the freebie message is lovely IMhO (they offer paid ones which are longer).

Am now on dreaded antibiotics as six days in i was getting worse not better. Have tonsils with large splats on and a natty rash (plus feel awful) so I caved and went to docs (they were very nice and said it looked like a strep throat). Hoping the drugs will work in time for Christmas!

Ps sorry for typos, am on phone with clingy DS snuggling on sofa. No energy!

DS loved his bday party which really was just an excuse for him and 18 other kids to run around endlessly. He has 12 presents still to open from the party and loves his happyland safari .......and even more so an old rugby ball DH got out of the shed yesterday morning he chased after it most of the day. Still eating his Lightning McQueen bday cake have sent half of what was left to the CM today they are off to see walking with dinosaurs later hope he behaves!!

Hope Mini Mopsy is feeling better and you managing to get some things done mopsy.

Oi hope you have survivied xmas eve eve shopping madness and the weather i hear both are awful around here. I am watching the trees flailing about outside from the comfort of the office. Working from home tomorrow morning which will be tough to maintain motivation.......really tough.

Aethel hope the drugs kick in i have had a cold for 9 days now it is a lot better but still croaky and have a cough, i should have gone too i think but it is hard this time of year to do everything you need to.

Merry Christmas to you all. We have all been spoilt. Sky is having a break from unwrapping and having a nap.

Thanks all. Been bedlam but lots of fun. DS is conked out on daddy's lap while we eat a box of matchmakers and watch toy story 3. I am so full of good and prosecco. Mum and MIL have gone out for a walk. Birthday party tomorrow.
