Ha Northern, nipple twiddling made me laugh out loud! In figgy's defence (and as a non-veggie) I must say that veggie haggis is jolly nice. So too is yummy meaty haggis of course!

I am in the midst of the pile of essays. Half way through. Head fried. Some very good efforts but several woeful ones that have me questioning how they got to final year. Yet I still passed them ... and I still have a feeling I might be considered harsh ... . Can't wait until I am through the pile.

Can I just say.... brandy snaps dipped in clotted cream. Yummm.....

And I rather like Farytale of new york,it's got guts, plus Kirsty McColl was FAB, and it was all over the airwaves when we were expecting our DCs so it reminds me of being excited and pregnant and knackered looking forward to meeting DS!

I am not into the Xmas song cheer this year listening to stepping into Christmas by old Elton but other than that they not hooking me like normal. Muppet Xmas carol required on Saturday me thinks.

Agreed to pick up a friend from his Xmas party tonight find out last night it ends at 1am seriously thinking of heading to 24hr supermarket of some variety in the middle of the night to get remaining bday and Xmas items to avoid the weekend scrums.

DS needs a bday cake for Sunday!! Have seen online a Lightning McQueen cake at asda it looks awesome and actually like its been made specially might have to go for that as couldn't bare the £50 required for an octonaut cake let alone £60 for a minion cake......3 days before Xmas!!

Off to London again seriously think I might have an eye infection never had 1 before so do I see Dr or opticians?

Figgy go to GP first (or even pharmacist) as might just be a bit of conjuntivitis. The optician would just send you to the GP. I had Uveitis once (an immune system thing I think) and it was GRIM. Steroid drops and repeat visits to the eye hospital, plus it can come back at any point so I'm mega paranoid about any kind of eye bug.

I like a bit of haggis. Going to bring a whole block of square slice home from our trip to Scotland over new year.

If I stare at these minutes for long enough, they'll write themselves, right?

dH has man-flu, might be actual flu. I have a cold but am hoping to avoid flu because I had the jab this year

I love haggis. Am a true carnivore but I also really like the veggie version.
I also love black pudding.
And foie gras.
And liver.

Ali is awake and doing jigsaws.
He has a really horrid cough. He was screaming with it earlier, so I'm just happy he's calm now.
We'll hit the sack soon and just all climb in together.
Although DH can not catch the cold, he's in for his hernia op onFriday.
Work is going well. DH is enjoying the job, and I'm enjoying him being there. Things are looking up!
Although its going to be tough trying to conceive with Ali coughing in our faces and lying in between us!!

I'm so tired my eyes might fall out .......only 2 hours until friends party is over

Pregnant Work colleague has come in today clutching her 12wk scan photo she found out yesterday she's having twins she's horrified bless her they've a 4yr old who's just started school, their house isn't big enough, she's high risk due to her age, she'll need a section etc . we all a bit in shock for her

Unk. I have a head full of cold. And DH has man-flu (might be the real thing, he's very hot and lethargic). We are zonked in the house, and I'm going to a funeral tomorrow so hope this lifts quickly cos I don't want to be infecting anybody. Think I'll spend an hour or two feeling sorry for myself and then try to get some house things sorted.

What cot/bed has everyone got their DC in/going into?
We've got a fair few Amazon vouchers (courtesy of winning them on MN!) so want to get DS1's bed/mattress with them.

DH has passed his course, so will be home, hopefully by midday tomorrow! No more courses for him until Feb/March, huzzah!

We wanted to get a cot bed from Mothercare Boba, but then a saga involving my Dad and a collapsing third hand cot when I was 8+ months pregnant put paid to that...thanks Dad We'll probably end up keeping him in his cot for another year, and then get him a proper sized bed that he'll look ridiculous in for about five years, but at least he'll be able to play and bounce on it!

Sorry for dissing your veggie haggis figgy, and hope you're feeling a bit more rested now. Your poor colleague, what a shock- it happened to one of my colleagues (the Dad) and he spent about two years going from horrified to grey with tiredness....

Thanks all! She loved her presses. Loved her (shop bought but actually very nice) cake. My siblings got her a peppa playhouse and a friend got her a peppa sweatshirt so she was beyond thrilled.

Last day of work today until next year! Hurrah! I am so ready for this break.
Already got work related flights booked in January...
Ali is still poorly with a horrid chesty cough, but he had a relatively good night so fingers-crossed he's on the mend.
DH's hernia op has been postponed til Monday, not ideal, hope he's recovered enough to enjoy Xmas.
My car failed its mot. Company car so it doesn't matter, I've got a vw polo til it's fixed, but I have to pick up LOADs of shopping... May need a roof rack! (Love John Lewis - click and collect at Waitrose to avoid all the Christmas shoppers or failed deliveries!! A Bob-send!)
In other news I am being highly annoying by asking everyone "what time is it?" And then when they start to answer, I shout, no! It's christmas time! Ho ho ho!

Very excited about Christmas here, I had bought and wrapped all of the presents, then accidentally ordered more which have yet to arrive.

Am relaxing with a martini while DH is toddler wrangling. Ah! And relax...
Got the car back. Got the shopping. Got the last day of work over with. Got some very irritating emails after I'd finished. I shall ignore them. I am ON HOLIDAY!!!!
From now on I shall be very Christmassy. More wrapping. More decs. More merriment!

Minim in bed and asleep yay. I'm going to have toast and a gin and tonic and a nice read then hit the sack. Mr Mopsy out in town. Glad I'm not a) will be packed b) is freezing, wet and windy. Have a good night all!

Funeral was lovely. Very Tired as lurgy and adrenaline has whacked me out so staying night at DBro's then home tomorrow. Hope you lot are feeling better than me!
