Ok here is the new thread. Quite impressed that I managed to do this as I usually fail miserably.

Hellooooo, just back from an unexpected long weekend in Wales.
Nandy was camping but i stayed in friends house - we all had a lovely time

Will catch up later xxx

(PC - my sleep pattern has been awful. my head's full of trying to sort out problems - then sometimes it's the only time I can get creative.)

mummyhill · 01/08/2006 08:12

Best wishes for some relaxing sleep Wabbitt and Mh!

Take care x

Been to archery tonight for the first time in at least 5 years and shot 21 arrows. Out of a possible score of 189 I scored 146. I am really impressed and think I have found my thing to do for me!!!!

Fanbloodytastic Mummyhill

I'm going to have to float a question about where to picnic in Windsor on a thread.

Love to everyone - I'm off for an early night xxx

mummyhill · 02/08/2006 08:28

Thanks wabbitt. Did you get your early night hun?

Ok here we go with a typical moan. Why has the weather gone so horrid. I know we were all complaining about the heat before but it is so miserable here I would welcome a bit more sunshine.

PiccadillyCircus · 02/08/2006 09:02

Mummyhill, I agree with you on the coldness. Brr - I had to find a cardigan this morning.

I am impressed with your archery skills. I think I would probably score about 10, and that would be if I were very lucky .

Went to the childminders where DS and Alice will be going from middle of September and it is still lovely (they've got their pegs ready and were taking photos of them yesterday to put nect to their names).

Off to a course at work that will be boring. Doesn't start until 10 but finishes at 6. This meant I needed to take the small people to nursery and as they woke up at 5:45am, it doesn't really create any feeling of a lie in (as a 10 o clock start would have done in the days pre-children).

Simplyred · 02/08/2006 22:29

Hello!

Sorry you didn't get a lie in Pc! that would be nice

Well done mh - how exciting -how did you manage to get such a high score when tired from work etc?. You could be in the olympics !!!! I'm very good at bowls - so that will come in handy when I'm 70!

Off to London with dh and ds to see the sights and to see Lion King at the theatre, back on Saturday, dd staying with my parents - I'll miss her - but it will be nice for ds! xx

mummyhill · 03/08/2006 01:45

Just finished work & thought I would check in before retiring to bed.

SR - it was probably a fluke never to be repeated. Hope you enjoy your trip to London.

Sallie · 03/08/2006 14:29

Nothing really changed between dh and me - he just won't discuss what happened last year and I am still not convinced I know the full story - probably NEVER will. Can't believe we are coming up to our babies' first birthdays. Mine will be twinged with a little sadness as it was this time last year that dh started 'playing away'. However, am determined to keep going despite my utter confusion with life. What are you all getting your babes for their birthdays? I think I might get dd2 one of those cozy coupe cars - it will cause mayhem as ds and dd1 haven't got one . Can't think of anything else really....

mummyhill · 04/08/2006 17:27

Hugs sallie.

DH has done a three day course this week and booked the last two days as holidy which has been great we actually got to spend some time together. Went to the zoo yesterday and the kids loved it. Have spent a quiet day at home together.

Just got in from work. Was thinking earlier today about how this time last year I was complaining about, heat, backache, and wanting this baby out asap. Now I want to turn the clock back a bit or put time on hold as I am actually dreading my babies 1st birthday cause it means he is starting to grow up.

He is pulling himself up into a standing posiotion on furniture. He even braced his back against the sofa and walked his feet backwards till he was standing leaning against the sofa this morning. He is a clever boy but I don't want him to grow up so quick!!!

Hello!

WE had a lovely time in London - Lion King was very very fantastic. We are getting the little people to bed and will be collapsing to listen to the proms in the park - that are on down the road and we are too tight to buy tickets!!!!

PiccadillyCircus · 06/08/2006 07:24

Morning everyone . Don't seem to have posted on here much recently - got my sister and boyfriend staying here at the moment as they are inbetween renting and buying house (they move tomorrow). And then they'll be only about 5 miles away from us which is nice .

I used to like getting up before DH at the weekends and havig time to myself. I obviously now always seem to have a small friend (at least). At the moment there's just Alice and me - and a bowl of weetabix .

Simplyred · 06/08/2006 21:03

Time to yourself pc - oh yes I remember that too!!!

I've been in a terrible - why do I have to do everything mood today. Think the worm is turning - the boys in this house make mess and leave it - they are not getting away withit from now on.....

Sadly I can not make 19th at Windsor - dh has double booked me for a long weekend in Wales - sadly I really can't get out of it......

mummyhill · 06/08/2006 21:19

Time to oneself? whats that?

With you on the mess front SR I am getting sick of that phenomenon myself. Attitudes to who should be doing stuff still haven't changed round here unfortunatly.

Morning!!

Off to a self employed tax course today - how exciting!!!!!!!!!!!

PiccadillyCircus · 07/08/2006 08:38

(As an accountant) I think I can confidently say that it will not be exciting. But probably useful and necessary.

PiccadillyCircus · 07/08/2006 13:02

I think I have stopped breastfeeding Alice - last breastfed her on Friday (I think) and neither of us seem to be missing anything.

It was like that with DS - can't remember the precise time I stopped breastfeeding him either.

Do feel like she is growing up a bit though .

Although her waving and clapping is very sweet .

Simplyred · 07/08/2006 22:02

ahhh its lovely to see little people wave and clap! Rachel has just got the hang on one hand waving - until recently she frantically shook both arms - rather like swimming the butterfly!!!! lol!

Tax - ummm yummy! Tried very hard not to glaze over and not to thump the guy next to me who called me sweetie! Any way I am all ready to cook the books!!!

mummyhill · 08/08/2006 09:26

Arghhh I need to do housework but littleones are demanding constant attention.

mummyhill · 08/08/2006 16:40

Welcome Lozza.

Heres a daft question beings as we are in the media a lot atm but how did you here about the site???? Please remember not to post any names now cause we don't want to get into anymore trouble!!!!!!

Bless boo is 1 day older than Davey. I also have a 4yr old dd.

Know what you mean about the coffee cup as well.

The site may seem a little slow for a while we will have to be kind to tech though and not shout as they are having an hectic time atm.

Hope you manage to find your way round the site, just give any of us a shout if you are having any problems.

Davey was standing up in the cot and cruising round it when I went to get him up from his nap this afternoon. I am dreading having two to chase round to get stuff done.

Hi Lozza .

I have a DD, Alice, who is one day older than your DD .

I also have a 2.8 year old DS called Benjamin - he is great fun at the moment (as is Alice but in a different way).

Had them both weighed today - Alice is now 20lb 11oz and Benjamin is nearly 30lb. That is quite a bit of weight to drag around on the occasions when I am carrying them both at once (luckily not too often ).
