Ok here is the new thread. Quite impressed that I managed to do this as I usually fail miserably.

Ahh shame about your car Idris.

Still keen to meet up - I'm in North Bedfordshire. Perhaps we should aim for something in half term week - end of October?? and do something with all our kiddies?

wabbitt · 14/09/2006 20:38

Have fun reading trying to catch up with us all. As you can see you have been missed. Are we still on for the meet up at the end of the month? Also there is an meet up here you might be able to join if you can get a sitter for C.

i've missed so much - yes back on MSN - to my horror - no messages but so much spam on my UNI address it's taken me half an hour to delete it

Im reading all your posts now girls - I gather tomorrow's not on but would love you to put me right on this! I will be seeing the unmentionable man this weekend and again on WEDNESDAY so will grill him over a gooo place to meet in the west/north west of London... we just HAVE to meeeeeeet!

I must say it's just lovely to be back xxxxxxxxxxx

So pleased to be back

Simplyred · 15/09/2006 07:58

Hello Wabbitt - great to 'see' you.

Yes we all need to meet - rather glad its not today - have woken up with poorly tummy

Rachel is demanding attention!!

beatie · 15/09/2006 09:51

Hi Wabbit. Nice to see you back. How is C getting on?

Rather glad the meet-up is not today. The weather is terrible. It's like a grey Novemeber day.

IdrisTheDragon · 15/09/2006 10:21

Glad you're back Wabbitt .

It is lovely and sunny here, but car still not happy, Alice is asleep and the house is a TIP. While Benjamin is at pre-school I really need to try and find the floor .

wabbitt · 15/09/2006 15:37

wow - i've only just finished reading up on the threads news

Idris - love the new name and well done Alice for rolling and sitting, thin end of the wedge now! you're life will be centred around realising how un-babyproof your house is, and, if you're anything like me, a constant wish list of things to do that never get done because you're rescuing baby from one thing or another

Welcomes to Ralusadajo, Lozza26 and HollyOllyMummy

Your link to last years thread has also made me realise with sadness how many mummys no longer post here

Congratulations to NLSTM!!! Two little girls, how lovely xxxxxxxxx to you all

Can anyone fill me in on what happened to Yorkiegirl?

Beatie - sounds like a good idea to make definite a venue - your link to the Royal View (am I right that that's what it was called?) looked really really beautiful, the only thing we'll have to ensure though is that we have a plan b, as you've already suggested, in case the weather's awful - but would be lovely to be amongst trees as the leaves are turning...

happy birthdays to all the little september babies - it's gone so quickly, all a bit of a whirl...

Mummyhill - are you working tonight? or will you be on MSN - I'll try to be around if you're on-line

Love to all of you and thanks for your welcomes back

Simplyred · 15/09/2006 22:47

Hello

Tomorrow we are going for a walk in the park we went to the day before Rachel was born - I havn't been there since so it will be fun - I shall have a little woddle along!!!! just over 2 days till her birthday!

Yes Wabbitt - Yorkiegirls dh died on holiday. Much more than that I do not know - terribly sad.

mummyhill · 16/09/2006 00:55

Hi wabbitt - work hours are mon, wed and fri 18:45 - 23:45 and Sat 11:00 - 20:00 I am out all day Sunday this week (going to Bristol to see friends and their new baby). DH is off next week so I will probably give you a call. N starts full time school on Monday (YIPEE).

Hello!

Didn't go for our walk - dh wanted to go to Tescos. He is in my bad books today. Hes being very very annoying.

Off to eat chocolate and remember this time last year on my own!

wabbitt · 16/09/2006 22:01

Oh SR what a disappointment!

ex p wasn't able to come up today either as he was working 'til 4am and had had an early start in court - he's taking tues and weds off instead, which I think is very thoughtful for him so he'll be here for those hours I was in Labour... wish it hadn't turned out like it has. Would be lovely to be preparing for Conrad's birthday together.

Hope you have lots of chocolate and wine too {{{Hugs}}} to you as I know what a poignant time it is, thinking back to those last few hours before meeting our beautiful babes

Simplyred · 17/09/2006 09:17

Hello

Feeling a bit better this morning. Doing a fun run with dd and ds this morning - whilst dh runs a half marathon. Think we then might go the park we were meant to go to yesterday! Rachel's one tomorrow - we are all very excited except the lady herself! She can say Jack - funny we thought that would be her first word!! - she also says yeah alot!!

Simplyred · 17/09/2006 16:58

We didn't get to the park dh came second in his run and he had to be presented with cup etc etc - ds was very excited about it too! So was dh he has never received a running cup before!!

wabbitt · 17/09/2006 21:07

Wow SR that's so energetic for a Sunday afternoon!
the most energetic I've been today is having a roast dinner with my parents for my mothers birthday!

Conrad's not talking yet but has his own language in which he's very fluent! And loud!

His latest discovery is being able to hurl himself on cusions and rolling around giggling like a loon! real physical play. DD didn't do this until much later.

Sallie · 17/09/2006 23:40

I too have mixed feelings about this time last year - a time when I should have been overjoyed at the birth of my third and making the most of my last baby. But tinged with sadness as dh was playing away. Still not right between us and still utterly confused about it all.....but my dd2 is sooooo gorgeous

mummyhill · 18/09/2006 10:25

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL.

Happy birthday Rachel .

wabbitt · 18/09/2006 11:02

Happy Birthday Rachel

What beautiful weather she has for her first birthday SR!

Sallie - My thoughts are with you, you're right to focus on dd2, the little ones make big people problems pale to insignificance when you really think about it {{{Hugs}}}

Simplyred · 18/09/2006 13:20

Thanks every one - Rachel is having a lovely day - & currently having a nap!

All the close family will be around later!

Take care Sallie xx

ych · 18/09/2006 19:58

Happy Birthday Rachel

It was Joel's birthday on wednesday but we had a wee party for him on saturday. We had quite a house/garden full, 20 adults and 10 kids, including 3 newborn babies all under 2 weeks old! It went well though and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We were all shattered after it though.

We've decided to 'try' for baby number 2!!!

wabbitt · 18/09/2006 22:18

YCH - lovely that little Joel's birthday 'do' went well
so envious of your plans for baby No 2

Hope the rest of your and Rachel's day went well SR
