Ok here is the new thread. Quite impressed that I managed to do this as I usually fail miserably.

Aw, thanks all for the birthday wishes, I'm very touched

Had a lovely day - couple of friends for brunch, family for tea. C had a ball. Gave her an Aquadraw, which was a huge hit with her and DD1.

Love to you all xxx

beatie · 10/09/2006 22:07

Oooh - how lovely Franch. I'm getting Alice an Aquadraw too. I am assuming it will end up being a welcome gift for dd1 too

Lozza26 · 11/09/2006 11:41

Happy birthday to all those I have missed!! Back at work today yeah...not!! Wish I was on a pub food diet, I have not had one piece of food since last Monday and bizare as it sounds I am actually getting used to it!!! Anyway I am sure it will be worth it!!

Hope everyone is good xxxxxxxxxx

Simplyred · 11/09/2006 17:35

Hello!

Birthdays!!!! exciting!!!

Be carefull on a liquid food weight loss diet Lozza26 - I know a lady from my SW class who now cannot eat without feeling guilty and upset. Her mind is now subconciously thinking from several months of only liquid - that drink good food bad - and she is quite unhealthy too. Are you lossing weight?

mummyhill · 12/09/2006 00:24

We are going out as a family including grandparents, Aunt's and uncles and the Great Grans for a meal and play at the wacky on the Sunday after D's Birthday. I know he won't know anything different but I wanted to do something for him as we threw a mini party for his siter on her 1st Birthday.

DH and I are both having the day off and will take him to the park whist DD is at school and then have a specisal tea at home just the 4 of us without me having to rush and worry about going into work.

SimplyRed - dont think I will ever feel bad about eating food love it too much!! The programme comes with an hour of counselling a week and the abstinance from food is for a 100 days and after that food is introduced. My first week weigh in was last night - 11lbs!! very chuffed!!! It isnt an easy diet though but I am at the desperate point and I have a wedding dress to fit into (bought it 2 sizes too small!!).

Am really quite excited for Boo's birthday she is having a party on Sunday - How expensive!!! once I have added up all the food, decorations and party bag cost I should have just taken them all to the farm!!!! Doing a similar thing the following Thursday mummyhill, just having Nanny's, Grandads, Aunite and Uncle over for tea on her actual birthday and taken day off work (well dp has, I don't work Thurs!

Hellllloooooooo to everyone xx

Simplyred · 12/09/2006 13:08

11 lbs - very well done Lozza xx

IdrisTheDragon · 12/09/2006 23:35

Alice can sit up in her cot. And then not be able to get back lying down and asleep again.

I;m sure it won't be long until she is standing up in the cot either...

[yawn emoticon].

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2006 10:05

Morning everyone .

Will write more later - but need to justify my salary by doing some work I suppose .

mummyhill · 13/09/2006 16:35

Hello everyone

I have had a good day. I managed to get my living room tidy and clean the floor in there before my homestart volunteer arrived. She actually complemented me on it and told me that she was proud of me as I seem to be turning the corner and getting somewhere with it all. Whilst she was here I gave the bathroom a good clean (need some industrial strength cleaner for tiles and the bath I think) and got the kitchen part of the kitchen dinner back under control.

I actually feel as if I can invite people in without dying of embarassement (SP).

Simplyred · 13/09/2006 18:48

Well done Mummyhill - I wish I could say some of my rooms were tidy!!! When people visit I say 'Welcome to the jungle!'

I'm finding working from home difficult - as I'm often here - the mess builds and I have limited time to sort it!! My son and dh are very untidy - & Rachel can't help it yet!!!

Right better go tidy up tea stuff!!!!

andif · 13/09/2006 21:01

Long time no post!! Read Beatie's post re this time last year, and have to say it seems like yesterday! Dh out tonight, so bored, can't be bothered to do any jobs so thought I'd revisit MN. Kicked habit, mainly due to dd's dislike of me sitting at computer (sure dh programmed her....) Also having joint 1st bday/christening on 24th which seemed like good idea at the time, but now V stressed out. Have also had loft conversion over summer - brilliant apparently, but stairs still haven't turned up and novelty of shinning up scaffolding to check progress has worn off!
No ideas on bday prezzies - will check all your posts for ideas, although party may have to be enough as costing arm and leg!!
Will now have leisurely read through posts...Nell is saying a couple of words, and apparently walked 2 steps at weekend, typically when we were away without her for the first time!!! - that'll teach us! She is v determined as has quite a temper, but needless to say has us all wrapped around her finger! More tomorrow if I get time!

jaamy · 13/09/2006 22:24

HI andif - good to hear from you and about Nell's progress. A is very stubborn too, much more than DD1 ever was. Mostly happy and smiley until she can't reach something or has something taken away from her that she shouldn't be playing with. She's started mimic(k?)ing us too. She especially likes to copy animal noises and her row-row-row (the boat) is great, especially when she does the little scream at the end of the "...if you see a crocodile..." verse!
Mummyhill - we're all on our way round to see your new improved house - new sofas and now clean floors. It's more than we have here! Well done! On a different theme - I have emailed you with an idea!
Lozza - well done on weight loss!
Am off to but invitations for A's birthday party tomorrow. Will be here before I know it.
Hopeeveryone else ok.
Night night! x

jaamy · 13/09/2006 22:32

Ooops - meant to say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR LO, YCH!
Hope you had a lovely day!

Happy Birthday to your DD, too, Lady Lazarus if you're watching!

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2006 23:33

Why am I still up?

Really should go to bed but seem to be devleoping insomnia.

Grr.

mummyhill · 14/09/2006 00:10

Jaamy - Not received your mail yet for some reason. But I will look for it with great anticipation.

Are any of you meeting on the 15th? If so have you sent wabbitt a text?

I have only managed to get to this stage of cleanliness and tidiness by joining the flylady thread thats floating about in the housekeeping section here. Not sure if it flylady or the girla on the thread that are keeping me going but eitherway it is working.

Hello everyone

Well it is a good job the living room was still tidy as I ended up changing a bed and a soggy 4 yr old when I went in to lift her before going to bed. Whilst trying to settle her DS woke up so I ended up pacing the floor in the living room in the dark till he went back off. Eventually got to bed at about 2 this morning. The kids then decided that it is reasonable to get up at 6.30 again.

Even though I havbe had little sleep I still feel good as I have woken up to a clean and tidy living room, kitchen area and bathroom.

beatie · 14/09/2006 09:18

Mummyhill - are you able to CAT? Could you send me Wabbits mobile number please? If not I'll look for the post where she sent it. Actually, no I'll CAt you.

Simplyred, I tried to CAT you but it says you're not accepting them.

I have to admit I'm struggling to come up with a meeting place that will offer outside area if the weather is nice and an inside if the weather is bad.

Anywhere around this area would be quite central for me and IDRIS. SR - I don't know where you are coming from.

beatie · 14/09/2006 09:19

Ignore that link, it doesn't work.

It's basically the area between where the M4 and M3 meet the M25.

mummyhill · 14/09/2006 09:30

Beatie - Sorry I can't cat. If you cat me I will give you wabbitts home and mobile no as the mobile reception in her area isn't great.

Hi andif - Nice to see you again and hear how Nell is getting on. Alice is a bottom-shuffler so I think walking is way off for us here. DD1 was walking by 11 months so it's funny to have dd2 be so different. I think I treat her more babyish. Partly because she's not my first but partly because she doesn't stand up yet!

your post about your loft conversion reminded me of this sweet photo I have of something dd1 did a few nights ago I love finding her little creations all over the house. Animals tucked into shoes is a frequent one.

MH - I have CAT you. Check your emails.

IdrisTheDragon · 14/09/2006 10:56

I'm being a pain but I don't think I can meet up tomorrow (not sure if it is going to be tomorrow anyway) but my car is being very bad ). Isn't keen on going above about 50, either needs to be dealt with properly or get a new car (which we were thinking about anyway).

Really wouldn't want to trust it on jounreys longer than about 5 miles at the moment - it sounds like it's about to expire any minute .

beatie · 14/09/2006 11:20

No probs. Perhaps we should work on a venue and then work on a new date. Can you think of anywhere? This will happen. It might be more fun anyway when the September babies are toddling. Not that mine will be anytime soon, but it will be fun to see them interact.

I hope your car gets better soon. H

mummyhill · 14/09/2006 13:12

Beatie I am having problems with my email at the moment try sending to me on [email protected] as that account seems to be working ok.

Jaamy I haven't received your mail yet either so will mail you to see if we can work something out.

Ohh the joys of modern technology.
